Pes, if you want, I can upload a similar save file, but I don't know which file or where to upload it to.  I R not awesome, but I haz borked save.  I loaded it over and over again wondering if EA majiks would suddenly work.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: McDermotts can't return home from France on: 2010 February 23, 13:37:41
I had the same problem - took me ages to figure out that being preggers borked the vacation.  It was a quickie tfb in the tent at the general store just before they went home.  Wanted a souvenir from their trip. . .After the 'going home' loading screen finished, bfbvfs happend and I was left twiddling my thumbs in france with no sims.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: NVidia screws ups, why updating drivers is a bad idea ... on: 2009 October 28, 04:46:58
I updated the drivers on my nvidia 9600gt and it killed the sims.  I almost posted on the bug thread but got smart and rolled it back and poof.  Nvidia has fucked up its updates before, no?

Barring a functioning autosave with a pause, I'd love to see a confirm button before it autosaves.  As it is, if I leave the sims on pause for while and go do something else, as soon as I un-pause, autosave kicks in, and my work break becomes sitting for 5 minutes watching the save instead of trying to convince my teen and child sims to stop milling around the entrance to the school and fracking start learning already.

Goldfish-eating piranha aren't that uncommon irl.  It's fun to watch!

Congratulations?

This sounds like the lag issue I was encountering.  If you still have the town, perhaps you could use my "NRaas Standalone CarLimo Cleaner" object to see whether there is a large number of global objects piling up in the background.

I used your terlet and it reduced the lag considerably, 599 carlimos and couple hundred carbuses.  It did not fix it completely, which means (to me) that story mode is slowly borking the game in some other way as well.  We need that batman box thing that worked so well for fixing crappy issues in TS2.

For what it's worth, I tried ISM's 'wolfrun' concept, left the neighborhood running for about a day, and came back to all these same problems, lobotomized sims taking forever to go take a pee or whatever SupCom told them to do, unable to get to school or work or anything.  At times, fps looked like about 3.   I tried removing everything but awesome, tried lowering the graphics settings, tried a single sim fambly, tried gassing their asses, tried gassing more of their asses, and there was no change in the performance of that neighborhood.

I started a brand new neighborhood and this was not the case, everyone in the same household, with the same mods (awesome, indie, couple various xml tunings), went about their business fairly efficiently.  Haven't played it long enough to tell if it will reproduce the problem, so, very well could be voodoo.

Okay, we're about ready for field trials, so anyone who wants to be a victim should start appearing.
I made an appearance and asked about it, but was not granted an awesome story mode.  Mighty Pescadissimo seemed preoccupied with other matters.  Maybe we just await further instructions.  Maybe some other kind of appearance is required?
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Install 1.3 update or not? on: 2009 July 30, 00:46:02
My patched game is not letting me play sans-disk.  Is the no-cd fix in awesomemod working properly?

Edit because I fail at reading, I repeatedly installed the wrong one.  Note to self - awesome(2).zip is more recent than awesome.zip
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Compatibility question with configuration file. on: 2009 July 27, 18:17:15
Yes, and now thanks to him, all my dirty, dirty, sims are fighting each other for Emperor of Evil because they're all filthy kiddie-fiddlers.  I haven't been able to sort out how to be deviant in private yet - seems the psychic curfew police got jobs as peepers trying to see who's molesting whom.  It's kind of funny how often they are all creeped out.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fireplaces suck. on: 2009 July 26, 15:54:28
The repetitive fires would be sort of entertaining if it didn't take so long for a sim to burn to death, and if the firemen/women didn't stand there staring at it for so long before they began dousing it.  It's actually a hassle to try and burn someone to death.  I had 3 fires in one day, catching several sims on fire, and never killed one.
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Compatibility question with configuration file. on: 2009 July 24, 16:46:25

There's your cute kitten, as a sacrifice for my question to the gods of awesome.  While I certainly don't want anyone to take responsibility, or offer support for the config-override concept, I would like to humbly petition for an opinion as to the borkability potential.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Compatibility question with configuration file. on: 2009 July 24, 04:20:59
So is this config file and technique approved for awesome use or totally wrong and apt to cause Very Bad Things to happen?

15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Question: garden wants on: 2009 July 23, 02:22:28
My sims are always rolling the 'grow [quality] [type of plant]' want but I can't for the life of me tell what it means.  At what point in the plant's life is it considered 'grown?'  It doesn't seem to get fulfilled, but I almost always delete it because I can't seem to fulfill it, and it usually rolls right after I have just harvested the very same plant.
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Problem with Awesome and Indie on: 2009 July 23, 02:07:22
I had the same problem, and it went away after I installed the latest aweconfig, no idea if this is voodoo or makes sense.  The interaction with the phone and ISM is a little awkward, but it has worked ok for me.

Apparently uses a little more cpu power with both installed, because as soon as I had them installed I started to get freeze-ups with cpu at 100%, but I lowered the graphics settings a bit and it stopped.
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Indie Stone Now with added Awesomeness on: 2009 July 20, 15:20:00
I re-awesomed teenwoohoo and played for a couple hours without any issues.  Haven't seen if indie will marry off the teens yet, however.  I personally *loved* the other secret command we got.
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 11, 02:36:37
How hard is it to just pick the food you want? I've seen so many posts on this subject that I am forced to consider that there are many more tards in the world than I had ever imagined.  Are you people getting confused by the many, many, food choices?  Does the possibility of the extra click on "more" frighten you?  Have you not read any of the previous posts in which our generous benefactor has explained that this will not be optional?  Can your memories (or web browsers) extend beyond the current page of the thread?  All that genius and energy expended, and you want *fewer* options on an already sparse and limited game, as a *feature?
19  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 02, 02:12:33
For those who have problems getting the woohoo-from-standing option, I sort of gave up on the teen-pregnancy mod because (I think) some conflagration of awesome and non-awesome mods made the woohoo from standing disappear entirely.

It might be nice if some distinction between the 12's and the non-existing 16's was made, like halfway thru teen life you are suddenly at age of consent, breaking the rule of 6, as it were.  The pedomod is definitely a keeper for me, however, it's hilarious.
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 June 27, 14:36:15
Exactly how scary and dangerous *is* the supreme commander feature?  I want to try it but I must not bork the game due to marital consequences.  I am already in trouble because I *accidentally* installed a replacement nude top and now many of wifey's sims are showing unnecessary boobage.

Edit fyi Razor version updated with awesome patch patch and worked perfectly, without unpleasant borking or spousal abuse.

And whatever you do, don't marry a wax-crazed esthetician, like I did.  *cringes and tries to hide any body hair.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: No two children are not boys? on: 2009 June 16, 20:36:39
Is there something to the way the sims choose which fruit to use in cooking that compounds the obsequious-ness of apples in food?  Do they always  make apple pancakes because apple starts with a and eating the things out of your fridge alphabetically somehow makes evil-random sense?
23  Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / Re: Annoying Live Mode Tooltip Removed from Uni Arcade Games on: 2008 July 15, 16:18:39
nice one!  now all we need is a way to get the tooltips back in CAS. . .
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 July 04, 05:07:31
I think the fights should start a mini-game, so instead of being annoyed by having the whole house running to watch a cloud of rolling-around morons, you could actually waste some time and change the pace a little bit by playing punch-out ("body blow!").  It'd be great to see sims bleed sometimes, or get bruises when they get beat up.   I've also always fantasized about a sims2-based FPS, for when the neigborhood has gotten just too many dang sims in it and they all want to help grow up the baby at the same time.  I often wish for things which are impossible.  How come in simcity, the aliens fly around making craters everywhere, and in sims2 they just abduct people and impregnate them?  Wouldn't it be cool if every once in a while, the aliens just left a crater where the telescope was?
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 July 03, 04:50:08
I have always wanted new turn-on/offs, i.e.  sims with babies, sims with lots of children, married sims, sims with issues (low aspirations), sims who are good fishermen, etc.  college grads, teens, elders (can sort of do that with grey hair) some sims could be turned on by pregnancy, all kinds of neat things could be done.
