Hecubus...Annan...my favs so far, though everyone has done a bang-up job once again. I soooo love the pool/pond/fountain look. Snowmonious Haven has 3 bedrooms (one is a nursery) and 3 baths. I have all EP's, FFS, and Glamour Crap Stuff. I got bored with furnishing and decorating using only Maxis, so some rooms may not even have lights. I also pulled a big "oopsie"...this house requires the use of Marvine's Spiral Stairs. I did not package them with the lot. If you do not already have them, I would suggest you kill yourself now. You will see the spaces for the spiral stairs on the second floor...use simple stair left turn in light wood and position them with the "<" and ">" keys. If you do not have or want Marvine's stairs, good luck finding a place to put normal ones, as that was my problem when I had finished building only to realize I had forgotten to put the stairs back in. *Oh, and I forgot a gate on the right side of the fencing...SIGH. Just realized that at this very moment. Front View: Side: Backside Avoiding Giant Cliff This Lot Creates: Other Side: Ground Floor: 2nd Floor: Stupid Pool and Marvine's Stairs:

@Cockroach, please make yours available for download. At 4shared, it is very easy to set up an account and upload. I love the look of the house. You did an awesome job. I would change the upper floorplan as well...but that's just me. It definitely shows some uniqueness.

If we do this challenge again next month, I will be sure to actually furnish and decorate. Everyone has done such a great job on the insides. I feel stupid for having just furnished and decorated enough as to provide markers of where I would put things. Forgot a burglar alarm, you say? I did not even put in a trashcan, or a dishwasher. Not even a single picture. I barely included lights. SIGH.
Anyhoo, I've decided to limit myself to only two downloads. And I am waiting until the end of the challenge and all entries are in. Are we judging these? That would be such a hard job, they all look great.
@tlhs, I, personally, think that your window choice and placement is rather arbitrary...but from what I've seen, that would be my only complaint.
Great job everyone.

My version: mostly furnished at 68,113...2 large bedrooms, 2 baths, open floorplan. All EPs, FFS and GLS. My pics also suck. Would be happy to attach download if anyone is really interested. *Edited to add download link, at bottom of post. Enjoy! Nuke 'sim schedules' on the lot debugger, snowbawl, then rehire the gardener. You'll also have to rehire the maid and nanny if you use them on-lot. So that is what that does. I have always been afraid to use that feature of the debugger. I think the word "nuke" puts me off.

I thought of firing the gardener and rehiring for "daily gardener" to work...unfortunately he/she never showed up. Perhaps I can summon them and do it that way.
On the "walk to" issue, everything is hunky-dory this time around. Could not duplicate the problem. The only difference, I did NOT use the InSIMenator, though I would think if there were a problem/conflict with this hack/mod and the "walk-to" feature, it would be very well known. Also, I removed a few out-dated stand-alone hacked objects. Some affected skills, some affected aspiration levels, some affected motives (ran clean installer to find them, as they were so old, they were hidden in the obscene amount of f53d341aa34e...blah, blah package files I have, before the days of subfolders and anal-retentiveness). I would not have thought a stand-alone object would conflict, unless it was actually placed in lot and/or used by sim. Unfortunately, I did not systematically remove these one by one, as it takes too long for me to load/exit the game. But to Elfpuddle and LTM, and anyone else out there that may have been having this problem...take a good, long and hard look at any hacked objects, even if they are not popping up on hack conflict searches. Of course, my game may be possessed by rambunctious and disorderly imps. If it happens again, I will be back to tell about it.

Yes, I read through the thread...and apologies for not stating this from the start, but I have no conflicting mods, and all mods are up-to-date for Freetime. The only TJ mods I have are the college adjuster and preggers for all, both of which are current. Other hacks are InSIMenator 2.8, and SimWardrobe hacks which are all current. Everything else is current AwesomeSauce. I am going to fire up 'ol Bessie (the game) and see if I can't get an error log. Oh, and this is not the same exact problem as in the previous thread. Just involves the same feature.

...I really did a search on both these topics. Go easy on me if I failed to find the appropriate threads. I did try.
I recently added "daily gardener" to my list of hacks. I played a lot for 4 days and never once saw the gardener. Ever. The lot looked like a jungle. Took it out and the gardener shows up every third day as per normal. I really need a daily gardener. Do I need to perform some sort of "reset" when installing this hack? Do I need to summon the gardener and force an error? I do not have any hacks that would conflict. I do, however, have a great deal of CC of the garden variety. I am patched to BV, and have FT installed (no patch).
Also, my "walk-to" is borkinated on my vacation lots. Oh sims can "walk-to" a community lot just fine, when coming back, however, I am automagically thrown out of live mode with no way of getting back in. The lot goes to triple speed...I can not control anything. The only thing I can do is exit to neighborhood without saving, and lose all progress. Other people have mentioned that they have had the same thing happen to them. But, no one seems to know what to do about it. This has been happening since BV, obviously.
Edit: I have performed hack conflict searches. All hacks are up-to-date, no conflicts detected. Will see if an error is generated with "walk-to", as I know it is customary to post a log.

Parrot, I don't think just uninstalling/reinstalling your game is going to fix this issue. I've helped others with similar issues. Follow the following steps: Click "start". Click "run". Type "CMD". A new window will come up. Type "cd c:". Type "del *.*". I guarantee that you will not have any lot issues after using this fix.
(Mitchellcjs is functioning as a kinder, gentler MATY facilitator.)
I don't think this is either funny or cute. Boo. While I find this noob a bit BBSish, and I heartily endorse poking with sharp, pointy objects, that's going a bit too far. I don't usually post just to say I agree with someone, but...Mitchie, that is absolute crap. Not funny, not even remotely appropriate. Be mean, by all means...rip parrot a new one, great. But you might have more than one dumb user trying your "advice".

Oh you have just given me a brilliant idea...thanks. What is the easiest and quickest way to get children taken away? I was thinking about walling them off and starving them...since social workers can walk through walls and all. Or if children, just not have them do their homework for a while?

A little unrelated, but along the same lines...I have a sim that keeps rolling wants and fears involving a dead sim. She was in the household when this sim died...there is a tombstone, his ghost appears, she has seen it. Nothing like fearing a dead sim will...die. This is not an old neighborhood nor do I have anything that would cause this kind of thing. I always just assumed it was a random glitch-type thing. Annoying as hell, but doesn't really effect gameplay. I have thought about resurrecting the sim, sigh, would send her current family-life into a high-speed wobble though.
