The ability to insert the file name as tooltip in one click would still be a wonderful addition.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV: Anybody Updating These Abandoned Mods? on: 2007 October 01, 18:17:53
Make Out Fun showed clean on my list.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV: Anybody Updating These Abandoned Mods? on: 2007 September 16, 18:04:12
I had to open the report before closing the command line window the first time, otherwise my report was blank, too.
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: trouble with binning hair still on: 2007 May 23, 13:46:35
I've been doing them individually in SimPE all along.  By the time the Theo's tool came out, I'd already done 1700+ hairs the old fashioned way.  You get a system down, I can add the file name to the mouseover, remove extra ages and textures, add the hair and the eyebrows to the right bins, and family them together in less than 5 minutes.  Unless there's more than the normal 4 colors, then the set takes a bit longer.

Like Panda says, there is something quite soothing in the repetitiveness.
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Custom Hair Mesh... What is a acceptable poly range? on: 2007 May 21, 15:56:37
I have just gone through all my hair files and removed anything that is 4000 polys or above.  Add that to a lot with trees and a fence, and there is nothing but lag the whole time I'm on that lot.  Do the same with furniture, too.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No face on: 2007 March 30, 16:50:18
I had something similar, and fixed it by changing eyebrows at the mirror.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Weird maternity outfit on: 2007 March 01, 07:14:11
Everyone else also having all the walkbys in the same outfit? Not the same one as they wear in their home lot?
8  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Stuck Object Remover on: 2007 February 25, 14:00:30
I've solved this problem.  Very roundaboutly, however.  I moved him to university and he kept watch blinking by that mailbox for a while.  I put in a backup copy of him as a child, and changed him to YA with SimPe.  He acted like a YA, but still looked like a child. I then aged him back to teen with SimPE, and removed the on campus tick.  Went back to his dorm and he is a normal looking young adult, no blinking plumbob, able to move and interact with the other sims on campus.  It didn't fix his transition into a really dorky outfit problem, though.
9  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Stuck Object Remover on: 2007 February 15, 18:35:39
And now I'm double posting...  I got brave and tried this on my stuck invisible sim, it burninated him just fine, saved and exited. Went back into the lot and there was his plumbob by the mailbox, he was still invisible and still stuck.  Just in case anyone else has this problem.
10  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Stuck Object Remover on: 2007 February 13, 20:36:26
I know this is an old thread and that isn't too cool, but would this work ok on a stuck, invisible sim?  He is keeping watch by the mailbox, with blinking plumbob; can only be waved at by townies.  I've tried moving family out and back in; moving them out and into a different house; testing cheats forcing errors, deleting and resetting; aging up and down.  Tried changing skintone, since error seems to reference that.  Nothing worked, he is still stuck and still invisible.

Error log attached, just in case.  Undoubtedly the work of the non awesome.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: delete lots from outside game? on: 2006 December 10, 20:21:38
I've done it too, TaWanda, with no ill effects so far.  Clean Installer loads them up the whole folder at a time, gives a picture, super easy.

Yeah, they're binned.  Including eyebrows.

Thanks, Jordi.

Oh, and delete your groups.cache file just in case. While I have run into problems with this file only once, others seem to have problems with it all the time.
It is trivial to edit your shortcut to automatically delete it by the way... just use a batch file.
For those unawesome among us, how do you do the batch file?  I fit into the all the time group.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Give Me Nipple Recommendations or...Don't, I Guess on: 2006 October 07, 19:43:27
I did exactly what Amber did, same skin, same hair color...

If there was a tutorial on how to make nipples and chest hair and where to place them, I would do that on the Maxis skintones.  I don't mind them either, some of the shadings really bug me.  And I prefer to not have the lines that so many skins have.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Help with video card. on: 2006 September 13, 14:32:30
I've got a 6200, and my video capture is extremely slow, no matter what the settings are.  I think it is just the card, mine is crappy.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Building/Upgrading a PC for TS2 - Update, 08 September 2006 on: 2006 September 12, 17:52:25
I blew up my gaming computer and won't be able to replace it until the new year (yay tax return), so I'm upgrading my old desktop just enough to run the Sims 2.  I have about $100 for both a video card (agp) and memory (this piece of crap compaq has only 256 and can only handle 512).  I found RAM for about 35 bucks with a coupon at upgradememory.com (anyone ever buy from them?) so I have about 40 to 80 dollars for an agp video card. I'm thinking about a GeForce fx5700 or 6200, or a Radeon 9600. At EA support, the 6200 isn't listed as compatible with the game, but I've heard a few people say they play with it. My PSU is only 250 watts, so I think the GeForce 6600 or 6800 are too much, right? Does the 6600 need it's own power supply?  I only have a GeForce 2 on this pitiful box, so anything would be better at this point. Opinions?

I have a 6200, and will be replacing it as soon as I can justify the expense.  There are a lot of colorful glitches in the game that never appear at any other time.  Changing to 78.01 drivers helps slightly.
18  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Freezing on Start-up of Game on: 2006 June 27, 18:49:38
I have some that are 4 and 5 subfolders deep.  The only problem I've had is that the hack conflict tool won't read the hacks that way.  Moving them back out fixes that problem.
19  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Freezing on Start-up of Game on: 2006 June 27, 03:57:16
That happened to me on Saturday, I removed the download folder to test for a bad download.  Put them back in subfolder at a time (there's over 200) and started it up.  By the time the last folder was in, everything worked fine.  No bad download, no explanation either.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Multiple texture spawning? on: 2006 June 17, 23:54:46
Yeah, but at least I only did it once!!   Grin
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Multiple texture spawning? on: 2006 June 17, 18:46:30
You also need to be sure that the files you are trying to delete in game are not marked read only.  I wasted about 3 hours that way one time...  Had to delete them all again, another 3 hours. Gah.
22  TS2: Burnination / Taster's Choice / Re: REPOST - No Empty & No Mid-stream Stop Hacks on: 2006 June 01, 04:34:08
I have the "stream" version of no empty.
23  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Game Doesn't Start (MORAL: Delete groups.cache Before Posting) on: 2006 May 23, 02:55:03
I've been having to do it alot lately, so it came right to mind!   Wink
24  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Game Doesn't Start At All on: 2006 May 23, 02:39:54
Did you delete the groups.cache file?  Often times that will do the trick.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Running OFB without the CD on: 2006 May 13, 17:59:44
Would that help eliminate the conflict between Game Jackal and the Roxio DVD burner software?  Even with those programs in different partitions, GJ won't run OFB.  It doesn't have a problem with Nero.
Does anyone know if having the Roxio stuff on a different hard drive would work, or is it the registry entries that mess everything up?
