TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Requests?

I have quite a few pleasure sims in my game (I'm doing Prosperity, so I really don't have much choice in the matter ) and I can't remember them rolling wants relating to their kids...never seen 'em want to have a baby either.

I think someone on MTS2 made a §6000 dartbord. Great for those kind of wants! I have it in my game, and no residental lot will ever get a bowling alley again. Although I did put one in a family mausoleum once...how can the dead R.I.P with people bowling right next to them?

My headmaster seems to be working fine, as in he will still go right to the nearest fun obect and start using it. And it still takes ages to shoo him off . But I also noticed that kids can't schmooze him. Teens seem to be able to though. This is in a custom 'hood, by the way.

I've realised that making out doesn't cause love either. Same as you, romantic kissing is enough for love. It doesn't have anything to do with hacks, I don't think. I had a hackless spare user account a few weeks back and they could still make out without falling in love.

Then you are clearly of the Lasagna aspiration.
I love lasagna. I could eat it for three meals a day if I wanted too. Too bad our oven's broken. Microwaved lasagna just doesn't fix it...oh, bur in all reality, I would be Fortune. I want my money, and I want to show it off too, by buying lots of useless junk. I probably do have a little mix of Pleasure. Because bubblebaths are fun.

I think I read somewhere that it has to do something with the aging controllers, since it was originally built on an uni campus. I think it was also said that moving the family out than back in again would reset it. Then again, I'm not entirely sure since I haven't run into the problem personally.

Those were some great stories, Brynne. And I won't complain about the lighting. I've been eating my carrots. And it also took me about ten to fifteen minutes to get the pictures to show up at all. Stupid dial-up connection, disconnecting me when I'm trying to read your wonderful stories.

I can't figure out the aspiration failure thing though, I looked at Ethan's memories to try to figure out what had just happened and it said he completed his freshman year of college. Which seems rather odd since he didn't go to college, I am not sure if perhaps when they don't go they flag them as dropping out or what, but the whole thing seemed rather strange with him taking such a huge hit to aspiration. The game also started to seem rather glitchy, even the regular nanny changed her schedule and starting coming at midnight until 9am, which wasn't what she had been hired for and Pes's schedule never changed. The regular Nanny continued to come even long after Ethan had turned into a teen and then would promptly leave charging them 10 dollars each time with some babble about there being no kids in the house.
What I've noticed, is that if I don't send my sims teens to college, they get the 'completed freshman year' memory even though they didn't go to college. I never thought much of it though.

Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: No Corrupted Death Memory *CRITICAL*

Usually, a sim witnesses the death if the Grim Reaper shows up while they're on the lot and awake, particularly if they come to cheer, sigh, or cry at it.
My sims only queue it up once in a blue moon, even if they are awake or even in the same room with the dying sims. Guess I'm just doomed to enemies having no memories of deaths. *sighs*

No more red memories for enemies. Yay! Is it just me, or do non-family members not recieve the memories of the death, even on the rare occasion they do witness it? Because all my sims seem to hate their parent-in-laws (either due to crushes, hugs, or general pranking). What counts as 'witnessing' for the memories to come, accoriding to the EVIL version?

I have a strange instance of this in my game, where the son of each partner in the marriage was going steady with the other. As soon as the second partner and son moved in, this going steady remained, all the associated wants remained, but could not be fulfilled. Right I thought, I'll move them out when they grow up, and then it's bound to be okay! But, no, it wasn't, and now they were desperate to woohoo, the one with the family aspiration was desperate to get engaged and joined, the romance sim had all the corresponding fears. But the only physical contact they could have was friendly hug and family kiss! I had to get the parents to split up so they could have a normal relationship, then get the parents back together again! (I didn't have SimPE back then!)
I have this problem too. What I found out is that crush status overrides it, at least if they don't have crushes at the time of the marriage of a family member. See, most of my neighbourhood is related by blood or marriage, which definitely closes the pool for romance sims! I now use the mistletoe to get them the crush, and then they have most of the options available, but 'family kiss' still remains.

Do you mean in the Sim Relatiions panel, or in the Neighbourhood Memory? If neighbourhood Memory, that seems to happen with every deleted sim, but maybe when the file number is replaced they will go, I'm not sure.
They're in the Sim Relations panel, the Neighbourhood Memory, and the Sim Description. Guess I'll just have a few births and see what happens.

There are elven majors, so you should have 22 professors. But that's not including undelcared. I'm not sure if it has it's own professors.

Now I know what to get rid of, how do I go about getting rid of it? These sims have never interacted with other sims, thus don't have the problem of family trees and memories. All of them have the 'had first kiss with mystery sim memories' apart from the very last few.

Ok, first I have to admit I am a glutton for punishment. I left my sims in free will for a few minutes, since I was on the phone, getting distracted. Anyway, I got back and realised that the game was running slowly. Very slowly. I realised what was happening and went to quit, but accidently said yes to save...anyway, to cut a long story short, I looked through SimPE and now have about ninety gardeners...how do I go about deleting these unwanted additions?
In the past I've only really used SimPE for editing memories, and bringing back sims like Skip and Michael...so I probably need it explained to me real simply, I'm not really good at things like this.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims not queueing up 'cry softly?'
|

I haven't seen them autonomously mourn since NL. Sometimes I keep urns in the house, on an end table in the living room, ala Dina Caliente style, or in the personal bowling alley...I do get everyone to mourn by clicking on the urn. Usually when the ghosts start scaring the family members is when I send them to a cemetary. Then two generations later I send my sims downtown on a mass-mourning spree.

I also wonder what gives them the memory of the death. Family members get it, obviously, even if they've never met that person in their life, but for people who aren't related, but living on the same lot, it seems pretty incosistent on to if they get the memory. (The life's so short message) When Kennedy Cox died of old age, no-one cared, but his step-daughter's daughter's toddler son got the memory of the death, even though he was on the other side of the house in a crib...no-one else got the memory though, but everyone in the household got inheritance. Kinda stupid to remember recieving inheritance, but not the actual death...
