I had a Sim stuck outside of the second story level of the library.  I was able to teleport her down.
52  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 August 21, 15:58:38
I started a fresh Riverview and made Skip Broke sacred, but he is aging.  I want to be able to marry him off to Brandi Broke, but He'll be a senior before they even meet at the rate he's going.  Do I need to use a different code to stop him from aging (that won't affect everyone else in the hood)?
I am definately not an authority but, it would probably be easier to just keep deaging him via edit sim.  When he ages to adult-put him back to YA-that's the easiest because you don't have to give him a new waredrobe.
53  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 August 20, 22:56:23
No, you were spouting on about how computers aren't meant to stay on all the time as though that had anything to do with sims 3. If it is related to how long the game's been running, it's probably not collecting its garbage, letting things pile up until it crashes the game. Bad coding, not some intrinsic property of computers.

I don't care what you and your family do with your computer, but it's patently untrue that computers need to be shut down every night. If you want to spread misinformation, do it on the BBS XD
I think that is exactly it.  I could leave my computer on all day and nothing will happen.  It's when the game is left on whether you are playing or not.  I do think some kind of garbage is building up.  I use the launcher and the internet is connected, do you thinkk that it is EA calling home that is causeing the problem??  Anyone getting this and aren't connected?
54  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: question about the death of a Chosen sim, when the family wasn't being played on: 2009 August 20, 22:48:47
Life goes on with the Sims whether you enable Awesome Story or not.  The only way to stop it is to turn aging off.
55  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 August 20, 17:47:17
This started happenig to me about two nights ago.  I had turned on my game and had to do something unexpected, and forgot to turn it off.  I returned about five hours later and played for about ten minutes before I saved and it threw an error 12(I haven't had a 13 or a crash).  I was very careful to save frequently and not use-save and quit.  I did it again last night so I'm pretty sure it has more to do with how long the computer was on verses how much was being saved.  My game is about 77MB.  I run Sims 2 with 9 gigs of CCs and the Megahood without crashing or major slowdown.  My computer isn't new, but it was made to run the Sims well.
56  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Long pauses on: 2009 August 20, 04:50:05
I had this bad and a couple of things made this problem non-existant in my game.  I can't be too helpful because I don't have the time to provide links but, the toilet that is in the Pudding factory, set it to run every night to delete the excess limos.
You don't need both and this will actually confuse the game. AwesomeMod will already perform this function, and if you need to trigger it now rather than waiting, try "towderelicts".
I'll have to do that because the toilet stopped deleting items and the game is slow as blue blazes(whatever that means-my Mom always says that?).
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Overstuffed Neighbourhood on: 2009 August 19, 17:49:35
You also need them for when Sims are arrested.  I would try it in a new test neighborhood or make sure you keep a copy of the neighborhood in case it blows up.

59  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Random Deaths in TS3 on: 2009 August 14, 20:55:43
I don't know if Prescado has fixed the no tombstone thing, but I don't seem to have that problem anymore.  I used to miss a death announcement and the tombstone would not be there(it had to be immediate).  Now when I get a death announcement, I sent someone down there and there are a few tombstones in there and I didn't even know they died.  A Sim doesn't have to know the deceased, just have them leave it at the cemetary and later, the family can pick it up.
60  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 August 07, 20:27:37
Is there a RTFM for the Awesome mod story driver?  I haven't seen one.  I also haven't had any births, but my game was over-loaded with children during the other story driver.  It would be like JM to check to make sure the number of children in you game is a sane number.  Maybe there will be more children when you need them??
61  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Work/school zergswarms and game performance on: 2009 August 04, 15:54:38
I took a screenshot at 1:11 pm and I had 23 students still at the door.  Needless to say, they didn't all get in.  I take control of the child that is causing the traffic jam and tell them to move, but it takes 3 hours their time for the child to move.  They are stuck.  There are days that are better than others.  Last knight, my Simmette didn't get out of school till 7:30pm.  So it also goes both ways.
62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EA patch notes lie on: 2009 August 02, 03:56:53
The latest Awesome mod update fixed the idle Sims for me.  I have a problem with the school children puddling at the school.  It takes till 1-1:30pm for the children to get into the school.  A lot of them end up going somewhere else.  I have to babysit the school to make sure they get in.  I think I have too many children.  The Landgraabs have 6 kids.  The Harts have three.  I went from a dieing town to an over populated town quick.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.3 Released on: 2009 July 28, 21:26:24
The patch installed fine without removing mods(I don't have any that replaced bin files).  I also have Indie.  I was playing for about 5 min. my time and it crashed to desktop.  I never crash during the game.  There must be something conflicting.  I figured it would because there were so many fixes that Prescado already addressed.
64  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Something Very Bad has happened, it seems. on: 2009 July 18, 19:27:41
It seems to not cause problems to age down to the correct age with editsim(knock on wood).  I just make sure I edit down their age immediately so they don't die on me.
65  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: TS2-Aging -> earning very much money??? on: 2009 July 18, 18:15:48
I pretty much have always had the Awesome mod,so I only know that they earn money with it.  I would think it would be normal because it is suppose to be a thriving hood.  It wouldn't be fair to go to work and not be paid.  They actually go and get promoted.  It would be horrible if you finally got to a certain house and they didn't have any money and the sim was already at the top of their career and they don't  have another chance for a bonus.
66  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: TS2-Aging -> earning very much money??? on: 2009 July 18, 17:43:26
It really isn't cheating if they are earning the money.  The same thing happens when you extend their lives- they naturally make more money.  If  every sim could give to charity and it could be any amount- then you could dispose of excess cash.  Maybe there is a hack that does that- or maybe request one.
67  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Something Very Bad has happened, it seems. on: 2009 July 14, 16:14:57
Is anyone else having a problem with the homeless aging up to elder when they are married?  I thought it was because the person being married was an elder but I had an adult marry her childhood  friend who was only a couple of days older than her and he aged up to an elder.  I changed him back through edit sim and it seems to have stuck, but this is irritating.  He was older than his parents.
68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Glitches 101. The Criminal Career. A compendium of Fail. on: 2009 July 14, 02:16:35
It may been easier than that.  I deleted the Criminal building to replace it and found out that I don't have a copy, so I started another game to copy it to library.  When I went back to the neighborhood, the building had autoregenerated by itself.

It came back and appeared ok but it is still corrupted.  Disregard

69  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: "Old Car Syndrome" crash FIX!!!! on: 2009 July 11, 16:19:39
After I installed the patch, I never had another crash.  I know this is random, just thought I would add it.
70  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 11, 16:16:43
Does anyone have a suggestion?  The Langerak family has 2 adults leaving at 8 with the boy(school time) and 3 adults leaving at 3 for jobs, and one at 5.  Everyone was in the red with their jobs and school except fot the one at 5.  I think they are getting bottle necked and missing work and school(had the same problem with the Bunch kids).  I decided to put them on the Supreme Commander on the work/school selection.  Well, Kaylynn turned into an elder and I needed her out so I went to one of her chilhood friend's house that never married and tryed to romance her.  He couldn't because she was constantly trying to do something and would break the romance cycle.  I switched to her and she was going to work on her job performance at the library(which is great)but does this mean they will nerver find love on this control?  Is there a better selection that will allow them to engage in romance.  I turned her off and did it at her house, but now they have the wrong last name.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What did you do with the Wolff family? on: 2009 July 10, 16:34:33
I worked really hard on his wishes and had him change his traits and got rid of the hate children.  They then had twins.  The game before, I didn't bother and had her have children anyways.  They get so many moodlets at home the negative doesn't matter.  But getting a red moodlet whenever your are around your children really bugged me.  He makes a great Dad-don't give up on him.  They are worth it--cute couple.
72  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Aging Problem on: 2009 June 21, 08:39:20
I am running Awesomeware.  I had a weird thing happen with the Bachelors.  They mysteriously moved from their home into someone's house(who only had one bedroom).  This in itself is a no no.  The mother was in the new home and the others where stuck in their original house.  All of a sudden, I got an announcement that Bella is aging and she aged(stuck in her orininal house)from a child to a young adult.  She is now older than Michael.  If this were anyone else, I wouldn't care.  How do I get Bella back to the right age?  Or do I just go for it and age Mortimer up?
73  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Adoption/Social Service on: 2009 June 18, 16:25:01
From what I have seen, kids that are taken get put into other households. I had twins taken by the social worker and found one living with a neighbor just down the street, I found the other one living in a house near the beach.

Did you (or anybody else) already find a way to "beat the system" and get your kids back ?

-le
If they don't lose their family tree than you can just remove them from their current home and put them back in their parent's home.  If you have Awesomeware.
74  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Narcissa Vatos: Blank Favorites and Perpetual Obesity on: 2009 June 12, 15:15:21
I was watching my Sim play chess in the park and Judy Bunch started to watch. I had cancelled the chess match and Judy all of a sudden got skinny and then proceeded to pop out fat again.  It must be a glitch, but it was really weird.
75  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Where do dead babies/toddlers go? on: 2009 June 11, 16:41:36
If you think about it.  If every unplayable Sim was using the appropriate animations, then our computers probably couldn't handle it.
