426  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This new furious state on: 2005 October 02, 09:40:06
I had to install no jealousy mostly due to the fact that Don insists on bringing Cassie,Dina, and Nina on all his outings plus a few other girls.  I control some of the rages by maxing everyone's interests--a lot of the fights are due to the fact that they don't agree on something.  I always thought that that was stupid--any normal person can talk to someone about something they aren't interested in.  I still have a lot of fights but it is usually due to pranks or someone trying to hug someone too early in the relationship.  These new emotions have really changed storylines.  When I finally got to the Pleasant's house, the parents were they only ones not in fury with each other.  Lilith went around fighting with everyone till she was -100/-100 with everyone.  She ranaway and when she came back I had to send everyone to their separate corners to study.  I would build the relationship up to 100 then someone would slap the other then it would go down again.  When it got time for the maid to stay,I wouldn't dare cause she and Daniel were in rage with each other cause Daniel kissed Mary Sue.  If I was a new player I would think Maxis was crazy because the stories  no longer matched the situations.  Going into the Goth house,  Cassie immediately attacked Don and they had already atomymously(Huh)broken up before I ever played them.

The hack makes so much more sence now.  I was thinking, but I don't want to have three airplanes sitting around(defeats the purpose)Never thought of putting them out of sight--duh!!)Life makes sence again!!!  I like the new feature in the game--enemy steals paper--and especially when the resident yells at them.  I was going to have someone throw the paper away on several occations and someone came by and stole it---No really--Thank you!!
428  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What? No woohoo? But you said you WANTED to! on: 2005 October 02, 08:30:38

There is also hacks that will mess up  your menus.  I had the old insiminator sim edition and I had alot of menu Items that were missing(the insim has been updated for NL)  You might check any hack that uses pie menus to see if they have been updated.  Also, to be able to ask a date home, you have to still be on the meter.  After the date is over, you will no longer have the option.
429  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Oh this is so frustrating! (The way the game now generates Townies) on: 2005 October 02, 08:20:51
I use the nochildrespawn and it is awesome.  Whenever I see a child townie,I capture it and use the mindcontrol mirror and the insiminator to turn them into a teen. Usually, when kids are in your casual group,it works out well to change them.  They have a lot more fun anyways.
430  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Smart Milk and the college years on: 2005 October 02, 07:59:04
I was playing Beau Broke and remembering how fast he learned and wishing they hadn't fixed that bug but he still learns really quick.  He is at scholarship level in every subject and he is one day from being a teen.  Either the bug isn't fixed or he has a learning personality.
431  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Former Townies Being Randomly Bitten on: 2005 October 02, 07:22:00
The Count has bitten Darren twice and about three townies and a NPC.  The Countess has bitten more sims.  What is funny about the Count is that he goes over to Don's house almost every day--weird.  It's like he wants to be his friend.   The first sim he bit was a romance sim that he was in love with.  They were at the end of their date--after she invited him home--well,after he bit her, he had a want for her to be cured of vampirism.  He is a pretty big wuss for a vampire.  What about the vampires that steal your newpapers and knock over the trash cans during the day--complete morons.  It's like, yeah, you better run.  I have had 5 NPC's  bitten and they become townies after but they walk around in their uniforms--I wonder why they made it so you can't add clothing to their wardrobe.  It was so easy to "plan outfit" but it doesn't add  the new outfit to the wardrobe.  Any woo, I wish my NPC and townie vamps could not look so dorky.
432  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Former Townies Being Randomly Bitten on: 2005 September 30, 15:30:58
I was wondering why only two of the four vampires were biting.  I thought that only one vampire had to bite and then they all could.   Townies and NPC's are not the only ones at risk.  Darren Dreamer has been bitten 3 times(so I think that when they are cured they might no longer count towards the 10% pop.) Dirk was bitten with no relationship with the countess.  I do have to say that they have good choices in townies(Amin and Kennedy).  Don got bitten because he picked a fight with the Count.  I let him suffer for a while for his stupidity.
433  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The man of her dreams... on: 2005 September 23, 01:06:23
The social dynamics of this expansion are hilarious.  I had to reinstall fresh a few times(Addicted to hacks)so i made one sim and was playing her in downtown to try to see if it was safe to play the families, and i have to say that there really isn't that much of a story to go back to now.  Don hates Dina,Nina, and Cassie. Cassie hates Nina,Don,and my sim(also Marissa for some reason).  Nina hates Don and my sim and the Countess.  I'm gunna have to fix this in Sim pe before I start playing. I had to take control of so many sims to max their interest because there were fights all over the place.
434  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what's been fixed in NL on: 2005 September 17, 09:57:21
Just remembered something when I was playing downtown.  Don was downtown on 5 dates and he couldn't ask to be seated any of the times.  Everytime the mouse would even get close to the waitress there would be an error.  Something about a missing string to the table or something like that.
435  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what's been fixed in NL on: 2005 September 17, 09:47:42
I have read through this thread and must add my two cents.  I saw that the no inheiritance was mentioned, but what about the disappearance of the platimum tombstones.  I actually saw my last tombstone disappear.  It wasn't in an overpopulated neighborhood either.  Also, I have original families(in Veronaville) that are in their original houses where part of them age and part of them don't.  It is happening in 5 families--it doesn't even make sence.
436  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Glitch/Bug/WTF? on: 2005 September 02, 08:20:20
I've had to trash a lot of houses lately due to crashes and no aging.  What I don't understand about this--- is this is a new reinstall.  My last install had almost 1,000 character files and was almost unplayable---but this never happened with my old game.  The aging problem and the crashing.  Something new is causing this.  I better check my downloads.
437  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: sims not aging on: 2005 September 02, 07:25:58
Well, I have another lot that is not aging.  In Veroniville, the Monty House.  Olivia and her children are aging fine but (forgot his name, Romeo's dad) and his mother(boy, I'm braindead tonight) aren't aging.  This will be my third house that I'm going to have to ditch in Veroniville.  I doesn't work(for me) to move them in and out- I have to move them to a different house.  It is weird that it is only affecting some of the family-that doesn't even seem possible.
438  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My Sim went to her final exam in her nighty! on: 2005 August 29, 03:49:33
This is my second time playing this game.  The first time, i played for about 5 generations and it had to be reinstalled(comp prob-not game).  I opted to start over because I deleted most of the original characters because they seriously annoyed me and I really regretted it.  This time I decided to work with the existing sims the best that I can(hacks).  Alvin is nasty as a townie, but if you work with him(send to uni)he is a great sim(if you don't look at him too closely).  His interests are bad,if you max them,he gets along better with the other sims.  The same with Sophie.  Lilith is designed to not get along with her family, she almost had opposite interests with Daniel.  I had to fix that or Lilith was never going to learn to study, her relationships where too low.  In a few hours, her relationship was in the positive and Danniel was able to teach her to learn. ----I have my out going sims go in their nighties all the time-but what was interesting is that I had a 10 outgoing sim male that would spin into clothing before he would go to school.  I don't know why he does that -he goes into the hot tub nakie.
439  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Never Matchmake Humans and Cows ... on: 2005 August 29, 03:32:42
Maybe,if you have the insiminater, you could turn off jealousy for their lot.  The cow does that out of programming, not because she wants to cheat.  So the guy shouldn't take it that way.
440  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Falling Out of Love on: 2005 August 29, 02:56:09
What is also annoying is that fear of falling out of love with an old flame.  I manually put a couple of relationships to 100/100 in sim pe every once in a while because I don't want them seeing each other. " Just let it go" is what I say.
441  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Changing relationship requirement for interactions. on: 2005 August 29, 02:50:18
I had mentioned on a Nightlife thread that when we get Vamps,we need to have the socialization requirements changed so that the Vamps can attack at will and get fun and social from it,even if they were a friend.  Vamps would get positive scores for it but sims would still take it negatively.  But, I have some Scorpios that would love to have a good fight for fun.  Maybe a modded attack that doesn't declare a winner or loser so I is more of a wrestle. An additional option, not to replace the attack that will make an enemy.
442  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: sims not aging on: 2005 August 29, 02:37:59
This has been happening to me randomly.  The first was a uni lot,so I figured it was a controller on the lot that was doing it.  Then I had it happen to another fam,and I had to move them off the Maxis lot to another Maxis lot and the lot became corrupted and I had to move them again.  I played a couple of sim days and left and came back to make sure that I could get back into the lot and I could.  Then the next one was interesting, the lot had parents, two teens, a toddler, and two infants, and everyone aged correctly except for the teens.  I just let it go because the were leaving for uni in a couple of days anyways.  But the game started crashing when there is a birth after the toddler and I have to move the mother off to have her babies.  The poor dad cries like a baby every time.
443  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Resurrecting Skip Broke (A SimPE Question) on: 2005 August 18, 05:44:36
I have read the resurrection guides before, and followed every step for-Bella,Skip,Lyla,Romeo's parents, and Juliette's parents.  It worked for everyone but Skip.  I did everyone at the same time.  I went back to check, if I missed something, but everything is as it should.  Does somethings just don't work with all games??
444  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Uni sending YA home after one semester on: 2005 August 18, 05:10:30
I have had kids kicked back to Pleasantville twice before.  It was both from greek houses.  I put them in a house in Pleasantville and turned them back into teens, then called the college and the taxi took them.  What was interesting, is that ,when the got back, they were still on the right semester and still belonged to the greek house, so I had them move back to the greek house and they graduated and got back to Pleasantville fine.  I didn't have any other probs with them.  It was very strange. It happened with two boys in the same house, and two girls in the same house(in pairs).
445  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Effect of age on teaching skills and encouraging? on: 2005 August 17, 18:57:00
Get the macro-encourager it is awesome.  Daniel Pleasant was able to get Lilith and Angela not to be messy, and Olive got Nervous to have a 10 in neatness so I didn't have to kill him again.
446  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nannies with no sense of time on: 2005 August 17, 18:52:32
I have had some nanny and adoption probs recently also.  They seem to arrive a day late.  When you call at 4:00pm,the baby is suppose to arrive at 10:00am the next day, well, she is showing up the following day.  Really annoying because they have to take off two days instead of one.  This is also happening with the nannies.  They don't show up on the day I call them.  They show up the folowing day.  Somehow my time is screwed up.  But it doesn't ALWAYS happen.
447  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sexual Preference Not Changed By Woo-Hooing? on: 2005 August 17, 18:33:55
The thing about the caress flirting option.  It is VERY dangerous flirt.  I have had a spouse who had a 100/100 relationship with their spouse reject it.  The sim has to be in a good mood and it shouldn't ever be a first romantic interaction.  I save it for after a string of romantic interactions.  I guess,if you think about it, you have to be "in the mood" to appreciate someone touching your face.  It is a very intimate interaction.
448  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sexual Preference Not Changed By Woo-Hooing? on: 2005 August 17, 18:14:58
Apparantly I'm not a Sag anymore-which is ok, the new sign is actually more like me anyways.  Well, back to the subject, I have the romance mods and the interactions work great.  I was having to change the townies to be all romance-except for the ones I wanted to use.  Because they would only hook up with the first romance sim they came in contact with(Townies I use as romance fodder).  But I found if I take control of them and have them make the moves, then they will have many lovers no matter what their aspirations are.  But one thing baffles me, Don L. has a large sexual preference(female+856/male-1057)yet,I unknowingly unleashed an anamorous Professor on Pleasantville, and he flirted with Don and he fell in love with him and they started making out?HuhHuhHuh
449  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: AutoYakYak Macro Phone Caller (07/31/05) on: 2005 August 12, 19:28:53
I guess I have the old version, but I wanted to tell you how awesome this hack is.  All my sims are at max relations with all their friends all the time.  I used to go to sim pe to max their relations before they go to uni cause they would lose their friends.  Now, I give everyone a cell phone and have them all call friends together every night- it works great.  This and the Macro Socializer are my new favs.  Keep up the great work- we really appreciate it.  You and other hackers, made this game the most awesome game ever!!!  I was playing with someone elses game(to give them the ropes) and I know now that I will never want to play this game without hacks again.  Oh, did I say thanx!!!!!!
