1  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Uni progress bar is stuck. on: 2012 April 05, 14:36:28
I have fixed this before but it has been years and I have forgotten how.  I have a sim that has all the skills needed for Uni but the progress bar is stuck at the bottom like she needs more skills.  I remember using a hack fixes this, but I don't remember which.  Any help would be appreciatiated.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Still planing with TS2 anyone ? on: 2010 July 05, 15:16:32
In Sims 3, there is supposedly more opportunity for storyline,, but what's the use of storyline if it isn't recorded?  I hate them not having memories, and I do understand that memeories were the major cause of corruption in Sims 2--but I still miss them.  I use to check them and laugh at what they have done while I was away.  Sims 3 is okay as long as it's heavily hacked, but so is Sims2.  I want to go back to Sims 2, but I have a bug that is effecting vacations and it's been too long to figure how to fix it.  I have Deluxe now and I can't get the hack utility program to work with it.  Maybe I'll just live with it and stop taking them on vacation.

That has happened to me a few times.  I believe in my case it was because of bad hair.  I deleted some high poly count hairs and it didn't happen again.  To fix the immediate problem, I aged up the baby to toddler.  This advise is applicable only if you are not playing Ambitions with hacks that are not updated.  If you are, linebaby is probably the least of your problems.

Not having skilling books in the Library is strange but easily fixed.  I just added them with more seating.  It works fine, just an inconvenience.  My Consignment shop doesn't have an NPC to man it.  I haven't tryed to fix it.  Maybe if the register is deleted and replaced (if that is possible yet?).

Do you have earlier saves?  After every big event, I "save as" the next number.  I have had to go back a lot of saves before to get to a non-borked one, but it will help you keep something at least.  There are usually signs that something is a miss.   Usually, if you have to use a cheat to fix something.  It is better to abort and go to an earlier save and bypass the move that caused the error.

You should.  The updates make the game better.  You might be living with a glitch that was fixed the very next day.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome + NRaas? on: 2010 February 16, 19:24:10
You should get into a practice of downloading Awesome Mod every day before playing your game.  It is updated almost every day and sometimes even more often.  Especially, when there is a new patch, SP, or EP.

Like Pescado said, using the super-computer to fix this is a moot point.  This is a symptom of a much bigger problem.  You are only delaying the inevitable.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Getting engaged to/marrying foreign sims. on: 2010 January 28, 19:35:36
As for me, this was one of the many things that stopped working in my game.  Going back to an earlier save and retrying fixed it.  The game is so sensitive.  I save very often and have to revert back to earlier saves often.  I am slowly making progress in my storyline.  I think I may have problems with this neighborhood because it is heavily edited.  It seems the more editing I do the faster it gets borked.  Hopefully the game will get more stable.  One can only hope.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Some tombs do reset... However... on: 2010 January 23, 21:44:25
I found this to happen after a few quests.  At first, I was able to go into buymode and that made it respawn.  Soon, that stopped working.  Unfortunately, it is one of the first signs that my game has to start over.  Other problems start to arrive untill it isn't worth salvaging.  I played the same Sims 2 game from when Nightlife was released until now, but Sims 3 seems to corrupt very easily.

My teenage sim has glasses on when he is in his martial arts outfit; even though, he doesn't wear glasses normally.

I seem to remember sims can now fish from a deck. But do they?

Fishing from land.

Can't fish from deck.

And they took away the deck on stilts? Why?  Angry
My Sims fish from their deck.  It may have to do with where the fish are located.  The fish look like they are too close to the deck.
Edited to answer Lion's question below.  Yes, I used spawners.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: A way to force Sims to go steady? on: 2010 January 10, 08:31:02
I had this problem plus some other assorted problems and I found out that my save was corrupted.  I ditched it and went back to an earlier save.  Everything is working now.  I have no idea what is causing it though.  I just had to ditch my last save because I saw an invisible Sim.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: A way to force Sims to go steady? on: 2010 January 09, 17:03:20
I am having this problem with all Sims,  I know this is some kind of bug because I just restarted a game and these Sims were able to marry before.  I also just had it with new YA's that wanted to marry their High School sweethearts and were not able too.

I just made a new hood and it works as expected, so it must be a problem with the saved game.  Hope my template isn't damaged.  Thank God it isn't effected, my basement tool also is working.  Starting over isn't that bad as long as my template is okay.

Anyone working on making a Pleasantview?  Reading through this confirms my original thoughts.  Too hard for me.  I'll still try, but Sims 4 will probably be out before I get it to work.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Small issue: Dungeons/tombs reset, and missions cannot be completed. on: 2009 December 16, 05:33:10
catshirlann, if you save before you do it, try to delete the axe, then replace it.  If it messes something up, you can always not save.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Small issue: Dungeons/tombs reset, and missions cannot be completed. on: 2009 December 15, 16:59:06
I'm going to post this in case anyone comes across this problem.  The quest in China where you are to get the axe, well, I know I did the quest right because I had done it many times before, but this time the axe was not there.  I have the EA debugger activated in my game-via Awesome mod- and I went into buymode to see if it was missing.  It was there in buymode, so I left without doing anything.  When I went into live mode, the axe was there and I was able to complete the quest.  I guess going into buymode reset the axe.  I thought this might be helpful to someone.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "grab hand" in Sims 3 glitching on: 2009 December 05, 23:12:52

Mine was in the family inventory and there was only that object-the nectar machine.  I had successfully taken it out of another families' inventory-so I don't think it is a certain object either.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "grab hand" in Sims 3 glitching on: 2009 November 29, 22:37:31
I had that happen when using the household inventory.  In trying to make it let go, I ended up having 4 things stuck in the hand.  I don't know what is causing it.  I also had a family get their information stuck.  I would click on the girl and it would have her husband's picture and info but the query was hers.  Thank goodness it happened with only one hour left of vacation.  It was fixed when they got home.  I mention this because it seemed like the same problem--sticky controls.
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Beta Testing 1.7.9/WA 2.2.8 Problems/Questions/Discussion on: 2009 November 25, 22:49:01
With the latest build, my Sims are unable to start or complete a quest(depends on the quest).  They can't check in or deliver anything.
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Beta Testing 1.7.9/WA 2.2.8 Problems/Questions/Discussion on: 2009 November 25, 01:54:06
I was curious about the EA story driver's 1:00AM crash, so I tested NRaas story driver with awesome mod and it also will cause a 1:00AM crash.  Just thought it was interesting.

Strike that. This morning I had a palm moment.  I realized that I didn't turn NRaas on at the vacation spots.  It was running EA not NRaas.  It doesn't crash in Sunset-- which is what got me thinking.  Daycare has officially made me brain-dead.  I will retest later-during naptime.

I can't seem to find where I can get my hands on this.  I am currently playing a throw-away neighborhood----so I'm game.

Thanks, Tangie.  I missed the quote.
23  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Continuous loops while on vacation. on: 2009 November 24, 00:54:48
It's the original.  I just hate to go through all that when it isn't my prime game.  I will try to use that utility.  Hopefully, I will be able to find it.  I no longer have my favorites.
24  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: update-help on: 2009 November 22, 22:43:17
I had a problem starting the game when I installed the update too, it loaded fully on the main loading screen and then hanged.

But then I removed Awesomemod and it worked........although I removed indiestonemod at the same time....so it could have been that either. Looks like it could be time to finally say goodbye to indiestonemod, I really liked that mod  Cry
Over at Crazy Town site, NRaas has a story Progression mod that is up to date that is very much like Indie.  The plus is that it will probably be Awesome mod compatible when Awesome is updated.
25  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Help with awesome mod... on: 2009 November 22, 22:36:30
I'm pretty certain that you have to update patches in the right order.  You can't skip a patch and go right to the newest.  Make sure you also updated with the 1.3 patch.
