26  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How are pictures taken in Bodyshop? on: 2009 March 12, 03:50:05
The only way anyone, on any OS, ever takes BodyShop pictures is screen capture. If you can't figure out how to screencap natively in that environment, you'll need a screen capture utility of some type. Otherwise, you could just run the game and take your pictures in CAS instead.
27  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: The Great CS Bundle on: 2009 January 29, 02:57:41
I'm not sure that I followed that.

Possibly at some point I will feel ambitious enough to make my own de-tattooed version of your bundle, since I already have part of the knowledge and can probably learn the rest.

In order for the "new" clothing to show up you need the hair files and the file I mentioned. That's all.

The "new" clothing? Are there items in the bundle that had not previously been extracted at all, and the file you mentioned would include just those things? Or do you mean something else?
28  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: The Great CS Bundle on: 2009 January 28, 06:37:32
I, too, am interested in the castaway clothes. I've seen some of them (because some of them have been ripped), but I'm assuming there have to be more (other ages, other clothing categories than Everyday, etc.) even if there's not much more variety.
29  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: The Great CS Bundle on: 2009 January 28, 04:30:17
Sweet, I wondered if it might not be the case after all, but you did say all files were required. That solves it. Thanks much! I love the CS stuff, but I just don't like those silly tattoos (they're exactly the same for all Sims of the same age and gender, like all tattoos built into clothing they go away if you use another outfit, and I don't care for the color).

I am a little confused by the other part, though...

As for the "new" clothing, use "aubodynativecareer.package"; this one contains the necessary files for the clothing to show up in the CAS catalog, the mesh and txtures for these clothing are contained inside the three hair file. Good luck!

I'm not sure that I followed that.

Would it be possible for you to make up a package or set of packages that has only the hair/hats/etc. and not the clothing? I use the de-tattooed clothes, so unless you are inspired to instead make a version with no tattoos, which I expect would be significantly more work, I'd love to be able to get just the stuff I don't already have.

Here's the outfit she wears that I happened to have:

Just for the record, I actually have one of her outfits in my game already, and I didn't get it here. Should see if I can figure out where the thing came from, it is a most awesome catsuit with stompy boots.
33  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Phone Hack v8.3 on: 2008 December 16, 02:41:10
While it's unlikely that TJ's same sex mods would suddenly conflict with the phone hack, you should still apply the basic debugging techniques in case you have a hack in game that you've missed, or various other possibilities.
34  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Can I debug a whole lot? on: 2008 December 01, 13:09:56
The tried-and-true non-technical method of fixing problems that are only occurring on a single lot is to move the Sims out of the problematic lot. Sometimes you can move them back into the same lot (the things that occur during move-out and move-in may fix the problem), sometimes they'll need a new one altogether.

However, since you are on MATY, before you do that you should be investigating whether any lot debugger options that only show up when they problem they are meant to fix is occurring are currently present on your lot debugger.
35  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Default replacement witch skin using Enayla's Pixie Emerald. on: 2008 November 30, 01:15:54
Engram has made a genie replacement using Enayla's Pixie Bruise, a purple skintone with no designs on it at all. It's definitely at inSim, unsure if it's elsewhere also.
36  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Default replacement witch skin using Enayla's Pixie Emerald. on: 2008 November 29, 13:10:01
Possibly I should just rename my default replacements folder from _Default Replacements (putting it at the top) to zDefault Replacements. I haven't even had a chance to test the one I am using, which is HP's witch overlay remover. (And it's a good thing most of the modders who actively plan for potential conflicts with Pescado's mods and intend for their hacks to load later have names that start with letters that come after P; saves so much trouble.)
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack/mod for perma-plat on: 2008 November 26, 23:07:22
According to the Prima Guide (yes, I know), Lifetime Aspiration IS carried forward from FreeTime.
38  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Townies and NPCs can generate with Glasses/Facial Hair on: 2008 November 25, 01:45:22
...as long as someone else has already indulged in Necromancy here (bringing this thread, which was posted during a time I wasn't Simming and thus missed it, to my attention), did anyone ever look into whether it might be possible to also edit the probabilities?
39  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Steampunkish Servos on: 2008 November 21, 01:10:43
I wasn't talking about using the adult-in-elder's-body method, I was talking about actually aging them to elder. Though since I need to use SimPE on them to change their skintone anyway, I suppose it's worth a try sometime.

Out of curiosity, what happens to Servo voices if they are an age other than adult?
40  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Steampunkish Servos on: 2008 November 19, 15:07:56
You probably wouldn't want a default replacement anyway -- all your ACTUAL S1 Sims would be blue/etc.! Best to just use SimPE. Use a test neighborhood first (or back up your real one immediately before trying it) just in case, but it's not that complex.

I'm still thinking I'll have to update that mod, myself, because I haven't quite warmed up to the idea of teen Servos; it doesn't mesh with my intentions, at least not for ALL of them to look like teenagers. Though I might try actually aging them to elder but using invisible clothes for adults (over the droid skintone I want to use, which looks silly with clothes over it) edited to elder so they don't have elder bodies, and see if the elder animations aren't too nonsensical for robots. (And the possibility of using other ages some of the time is intriguing, although I suspect massive weirdness if a Servo was set to an age that's supposed to attend school.)
41  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Steampunkish Servos on: 2008 November 17, 13:11:56
As far as I know, they'll have the same skintone every time (whatever your game is using for S1, Maxis or default replacement), since their skintone was never intended to be visible.
42  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Steampunkish Servos on: 2008 November 15, 13:01:49
Yeah. I'm busy doing other stuff and thus haven't tried to update it for AL yet, and my test with FT was fairly limited, but it was successful. I still can't believe nobody ever replied to that post; it was already in necromantic territory when I found it. (If I update it successfully and nobody beats me to it I'll resurrect it to post the updated file, though. I really need to learn how to do that stuff.)
43  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Steampunkish Servos on: 2008 November 15, 03:51:14
I usually use the Independent Teen age option on the InSimenator instead of adult to prevent this.

Out of curiosity -- I have a mod that seems to be doing pretty well at preventing reversion last I checked, haven't tested it real thoroughly yet, but -- is that actually a foolproof and permanent method of keeping them in their human appearance? Because if so it's pretty nifty, AND I'm amazed nobody else has ever mentioned it in my "hearing".
44  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Macro Control: Macrotastics on: 2008 November 08, 01:30:14
Would it be possible for you to actually make an object (like a mostly-invisible -- or invisible-recolored -- rug, or maybe even one colored by some enterprising soul to look like a yoga/exercise mat) that could be used to mark a designated indoor open space for activities that need space like that, to be used preferentially if present?
45  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Kutto's T-Shirt Hut on: 2008 November 05, 19:23:30
Files in the Projects directory are not read by the game for gameplay, only by Body Shop for content creation. Files in SavedSims are the ones that both Body Shop and the game use to display content for actual use on Sims, and they are the ones that need to be shared with others.
46  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Store Stuff on: 2008 November 05, 13:47:15
The best way to find this stuff, btw, is to go to the Collections area of the store, where you can go to Exclusives, then Castle, and it should have everything (right down to 2-4 versions of various hairstyles and outfits for multiple ages). But right now it seems like we'd better watch the BBS for reports of an update. Tongue
47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't pick undies for children with clothingtool on: 2008 November 04, 14:22:33
Children can not only leave their lots, they can also meet older Sims who are visiting their own lot, and attend wedding parties held on the lot they live on. Toddlers are the ones who can't really leave their lots, but the second two cases still apply.
48  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Question about adoption, dominance and graveyard ownage. on: 2008 November 02, 13:25:32
We can always count on you to identify which kludges are okay and which are not okay for no reason obvious to someone who isn't elbow-deep in code, I see! Will keep that in mind.
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Question about adoption, dominance and graveyard ownage. on: 2008 November 02, 03:53:50
Could people with Seasons or higher EPs give the gravestone to the graveyard "owner" with the give gift social? It'd be extremely easy in winter (almost anyone will accept anything then) and not that difficult in other seasons with little tweaking. I guess making the owner selectable isn't any more difficult... too bad there's not an option to transfer specific items from one Sim to another remotely yet that I know of.
50  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Macro Control: Macrotastics on: 2008 November 01, 00:58:46
Yeah, I had the same problem when I was mucking with AL the other day, had to hire a maid in a house with 6 (!) adults, one of whom was a stay-at-home with a high neat score because I couldn't make them Macro clean and I wanted to be sure that SOMETHING was trying to make sure I didn't miss anything. I had a handful of other mods in, but most of them were TJ's. I also had some trouble with TV menus when trying to skillinate cooking and could not reliably get the option (for either the skillinating Sim or another in the same household) to change to the Yummy channel to appear on the TV. I finally removed the TV from the house so they would skillinate with the bookshelf.
