I would just like to vent my extreme disapointment and disgust.
And i haven't even got my copy yet.

Those photos of the red neighbourhood and the screwy clothes have actually shocked me.  Everyday people create their own custom meshes, their own cars, objects and all sorts of things for the sims.  Theres a flintstones car, and a horse and carriage that works fine.  Max whipped up a Trogdor tree quicker than it takes my comp to boot up.  There are some truely amazing clothes and meshes out there.

And yet Maxis seem incapable of making their own stuff and putting it on a cd with no problems.  How the hell can a stuff pack be so hard to make?  Why are neighbourhood screens crashing?  I mean are there new animations?  No?  Then its just furniture and clothes.  On a cd.  ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE! 

Please, someone.  Explain to me how a stuff pack can cause problems, because I sure as hell don't understand.

nah its not major corruption unless thats slang for OFB

argh how frustrating.  I swear this problem came with OFB only.  Cleaning plates or serving meals has always been a bit screwy between sims since i installed it.  In every house!

I read a post about this problem from missdoh but i couldn't see a solution to it.  Basically a sim cooks a meal, then can't clean up the plates.  Or only one sim in that family can.  Ive been getting round this by sticking the plates on the floor and having a clean bot suck them up, but its really starting to get irratating that all my familys require clean bots.  Any fixes that any one knows of?

thanks everyone :-)  I was kinda of hoping to use simpe to make sure parents pass on the genes i want them to.  I thought it might be possible, i swear i saw a "dominant gene" thingy, ill have to have a bit more of a look.  However due to unawesomeness i don't like playing with simpe with out suffient faqs :-)

Hey everyone,
Can some one please kick me in the right direction of a tutorial or a faq on how to determine which genetics a sim will pass on to its kids?  Things like eyes, hair colour, ears that kind of thing, not sloppy, or active points or whatever.  I've been looking for this for a while, and have had no luck.

in all fairness i have deleted quite a few sims via simsbin (before coming here and reading of BFBVFS) and nothing bad has happened to my game.  Don't stress

and would just like to know, if I do this will it delete all the character files from the original Strangehood?  So if i had a family there and reset that neighbourhood, that family would be gone and no chance of a BFBVFS?

hmm i dont know if this is related but i had a similar issue with vampires where their face would be a different colour to the rest of them... it only happened with certain sims and i haven't seen it for a while, i'll see if i can get it to happen again and let you know how i fixed it.

ok, i ended up reinstalling the game and it seems to have fixed it.  I also took out the rewardsoncomm and rewardsonresidents hacks since i no longer need them but i doubt they would have been the cause.

cheers JM, I thought exactly the same thing about "fat robots".  My thoughts were that, since the servo never needs food, they get fat a lot quicker.  I swear that robot had only one meal.  To the punching bag...

Looking for a hack to stop servo getting fat?  Sure they cook, then they eat what they cook, get fat without me realising... and none of my sims in that house are attracted to fatties.  For some reason its been proving difficult to get servo skinny again as well.  Ive had him running on that army course thing for two sim days with no luck.

mine is with all my sims i downloaded a few hacks from here recently, ill take them all out and see if that fixes it.  But they were pretty widely used hacks and no one else had reported a problem...

recently my sims have stopped moving their mouths when theyre talking.   I know this was a glitch with uni, but was fixed with the patch.  I have uni, nl, ofb and ffs and its all patched etc.  Does anyone know what causes this?

I'm going to start a Art Shop but my adult sims on full creativety points only paint the same damn pictures (theres about 5 of them).  I noticed that YA's paint different pictures, and there a different pictures for each creativety point, so would there be away to unlock some more of them so my sims have more of a range?

I have a problem with a restraunt where everytime someone orders food, they look at it for 2 seconds then get up and leave.  No one ever eats!  Theyre townies, cas sims, from teen to elder no one ever eats.

Is there a fix somewhere?

Avie - it just makes things hard if your friends with said bitten townie and you can only ring or see them at night...i don't think its absoulute that you need a high relationship it just helps things if you want to be bitten.

Elf - well yes i was enquiring if there was a updated version...hence the point of me posting, um translate what?

JM - my mistake it was a townie.  So I take it all is well and im not going to have a overflow of Vamps?

I'd rather no one be bitten at random to be honest.. otherwise is there a way to influence a townie to drink the vamp cure stuff?

I've been using Pescados vampire fix (the one that stops vamps biting npcs) for a while now and its been all good...

until last night while at a community lot where i blatently saw a Countessa bite a npc.

This is the first time ive seen a vamp since ive installed OFB and FFS, is this fix not compatible with these expansions?  Is there a updated version anywhere?

Yes custom content is enabled.

I have a greek house, where when a sim calls to go to a community lot, the taxi will come, sim gets in and then it will get stuck on the end of the lot.  It looks like its halfway thru fading out. 

I have NL, and its patched, all comp requirements, only hacks are the energizer painting and the college clock.
