Dude, I tried TS3 but can't get past the pudding people. The open world thing is nice but its not a seller for me.

Someone who isn't EA needs to remake this game.

Haha well... I got the trial too! No burglars, no firefighters, no cars? No newspaper for a job you just... Choose a career. No significant memories or anything... It's so basic,  holy shit. Re-downloaded sims2.

I downloaded the CAS demo and am super close to getting the game. I'm still.... not entirely convinced though.

You know what sucks?  This game.  EA shits out mediocre games at an alarming rate these days and I seriously have no idea why any of you bother sticking around to humor them.

Hi guiz,

Long time listener, first time caller.  I've been playing the game for like, 3 days and have already run into a bunch of weird shit.  I have all the expansions except pets and stuff packs.  No CC or store stuff.  Awesomemod 1.24

1) Sound drops out
Basically, I hit fast forward or something on the game and it kills all sound completely until I restart the game.  According to MATY, this is fixed by deleting bicycles.  What?  Do I have to choose bikes or sound?  Can I have both?  Does anyone know of any non-bicycle related fixes for this?

2) My sim couple got one of those free vacation thingys and went to disappear for the weekend.  Except, one sim strolled back in a day early, in his work clothes and with his inventory wiped.  I figure he got reset some how.  I see I can regen the books that were in his inventory using AM, can I also salvage the scrap metal he'd collected and, more importantly, his fireman coat career reward? 

There was other stuff but I think I'll fuck around with it more before I ask questions.

If you started your TS3 neighbourhood again, what templates and things would you import in?  If the memories for Generations is true, I am totally back in the game and plan on giving TS3 a go.  Again.  I think I'm some sort of sucker for punishment.

I figure I'll need face default replacements, do I need body ones as well?  Skins? Eyes? Male genitalia? Any advice for a TS3 noob?

Hey everyone,
As mentioned here, there seems to be a random bug with learning bought songs. 

My sim has read the books but she cannot play the songs, nor do they turn up in the skills journal.  The books come up with "No function available" when they're in the sims inventory and the sim can re-read the book from the bookcase, but they still will not have learnt the song.

Any ideas on how to prevent / fix this?  I'm unable to complete any of the guitar skill challenges.

Considering this is coming from someone who has proclaimed he has no skills of an artist, I am impressed by the stupidly simple logic of this.  And upset by the fact I didn't think of it! 

I just couldn't get her mouth to sit any further down her face.  Also I couldn't find a blonde type colour in the colour wheel so her hair is kinda green...

It took me 15 minutes to put a roof on a house today.  Apparently my walls were "uneven".  How the fuck is that even possible on a flattened lot.  Auto roof INSISTED on putting a roof over the balcony, despite a fence being there.  Non-auto roof insisted on sucking balls and not covering the rooms properly.

Selling a bookcase = All your books now go into your inventory!  Where you have to manually put them back in the bookcase, one by one.  The big bookcase with the glass?  I don't think you can even put books in that, it wasn't likeing my trying.

Growing fruit = All your fruit goes into your inventory!  Where you have to manually put it in the fridge, one by one.

Why have a driveway?  Your bike and car has to be in your inventory for you to drive to work!

Big open plan living, EA?  No loading screens?  That's because instead of actual community lots there are now huge black holes where nothing happens!  Now there's what I call fucking creative effort.

I've given up.  This game blows goats.

The way they move is awful.  Jerky, weird, ugh.  This is definitely been another minimum effort from EA.   

There are no memories and no records of "Opportunities" achieved, or anything else achieved.

It is doing my head in.  I *like* creating a sims history, it's imaginative and helps me give personality to my sims.  This is the biggest DONOTWANT for me so far. 

Does anyone know how to do the gardening thing?  I can't find anything in the buy/build menu that would make a vege garden, nor were there any seeds to buy at the supermarket.  Halp!

I KNOW.  If I made a game, I'd be all over the community for their opinions.  I just don't understand - remember when MaxoidSam was like OMG NVIDIA CRASH? IN MY SIMS 2?  WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL US?  That really made me realise how freaking cut off from the community EA are.


This is also baffling.  Surely, surely, there are many people in that company and SOMEONE at some point said "hey, that sim fell all the way outta the ugly tree huh".
