76  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: But it seemed like such a good idea at the time! on: 2006 January 29, 19:01:13
I'm fortunate, though.  These days I keep my neighborhoods underpopulated and my households smallish.  I periodically do a quick sweep to eradicate the dead weight to make room for something new I just have to have.  Even though my initial load time is about 15 minutes (before I organized my downloads folder)  I can usually find something to occupy my time- like reading or Sudoku.

If it takes you 15 mins to load the game, how does ure game run after? do you lag alot while playing? I've never had as many downloads as that on any comp Ive played and even tho it takes me like 2-3 mins to load, bigger lots that I load to play can get quite laggy.

78  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Report about a queer death - suggestions and explanations welcome! on: 2006 January 22, 19:50:15
I had something similiar happen at a party (actually I even exited without saving and it happened again) An uninvited guest appeared right in the living room and pee'd himself.  Right after collapsed on the floor.  Although in this case it didn't take long for the grim reaper to come.  I exited the lot without saving a third time and as soon as he appeared fixed his motives with a cheat (there wasn't any other way to get around it).

Still don't know what caused this and it never happened again.  Or maybe it was the tight pants!

80  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife = Uni? on: 2006 January 20, 16:04:34

Oh they do get the want regardless of whether you have chosen a uni or not.  Almost all of my teens have the want to go college as soon as they have aged.  if I recall correctly though, the only few sims that didn't have a go to college want was a few pleasure sims.  I cant say for sure though cos I don't play the teens full duration of the life stage to be completely sure.
81  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood apocalypse - on purpose? on: 2006 January 20, 06:15:36

I haven't had any sims die from disease yet.  Even when I tried to make them die from the disease/flu they never did.  They seem to miraculously recover regardless of whether you let them rest or not, heh.

82  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Crumplebottom Fix on: 2006 January 20, 05:52:29
I didn't think I'd actually need this till i tried ure Ethiopian Challenge.  Crumplebottom seems to have xray laser vision eyes or summat since she can see my sim showering from across the street *shrugs*

Much needed fix, tyvm  Smiley

Great! Thank you.

Was wondering tho, do I need to delete Inge's teleporter shrub before I put in this one? or it this just the same thing with the downtownie pool bit included?

84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I hate asking questions about modding, I want to look like I know everything... on: 2006 January 19, 17:19:02
I was so wanting a solution for this I can't thank you enough.  It was driving me nuts Tongue

I can't see it up yet, guessing it takes some time for them to upload it?

Thanks again  Grin

Woot! very nice! ty ty

Now we need one for the bubble-blower *hint hint*   Wink Grin

86  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife = Uni? on: 2006 January 19, 03:24:52
I could so do without that damn bubble-blower.  All my fortune and pleasure sims obsess over having one.  Since my new install I absolutely refuse to buy one for any of them.  I have a sim that just turned elder and still wants one.  So much for not giving in to obsessions Sad

87  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife = Uni? on: 2006 January 19, 02:57:36
Does NL alone include the LTW?

I would like to know this too, if anyone knows?

89  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Comes linked or not, that is the question on: 2006 January 18, 20:17:32
After checking with the summoner I found that the game had generated 2 of them.  Can't remember how I solved the problem but I know I deleted one of the uni hoods.  I wanted them to get together cos they had 3 bolts for each other.

So yes, the game duplicates them when you create more than one uni hood.

Hrm... that's odd... was this Tiffany Sampson a playable sim? I don't see why the game would create two of the same playable sim. Is it possible that one of them was an unplayable "clone" from the generic dormie/townie pool? The one with no phone? Also... I thought that, whenever you get the message about a sim not having a phone, it either means there are on a lot with no phone or they are in the sim bin...

Could you have accidentally packaged Tiffany to a lot and reinstalled it? Or downloaded and installed some lot that had Tiffany packaged into it?

I know that I couldn't have packaged her anywhere because I have yet to play any maxis created families/sims.  I do however marry them off to some of the npc/townies depending on how strong the chemistry is (and how ugly they are :p).

If my memory serves me correctly I think I had the Sim State and La Fiesta in one neighbourhood.  I also do recall that when I deleted the one college I had duplicates of the families in the other hood.  Can't remember the names of the students but I had like 2 of each in the sim bins.  I just deleted the extras.

Thats about all I can remember.
90  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Comes linked or not, that is the question on: 2006 January 17, 08:06:45
I had a sim who asked for a blind date, and he got Tiffany Sampson (think that was her name) from the Greek house. Anyways, after a successful date, I tried to get him to call and the game kept saying she had no phone.  I went back to the house she was living in and there was a phone.  Also when I checked her relationship she didn't even know my sim.

After checking with the summoner I found that the game had generated 2 of them.  Can't remember how I solved the problem but I know I deleted one of the uni hoods.  I wanted them to get together cos they had 3 bolts for each other.

So yes, the game duplicates them when you create more than one uni hood.
91  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Outside garbage cans.... on: 2006 January 17, 07:17:04
I've moved the trashcan or put a fence around three sides. Prevents it from being kicked over. Works great.

Simlogical has the No kick trash which works wonders. Getting the trash kicked 10 times a day is no fun Sad

I think some of the new houses that came with nightlife are slightly bugged.  Some of them the mailbox just disappeared and strangely I had no bugs.  No mail or anything came and I played that family a good while too.  Even moving a new family and reloading the same lot made no difference.  After a couple days the mailbox would just disappear  Huh
92  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti Watch Out! on: 2006 January 15, 15:43:30
Cool! I hate it when you have to wait so long for sims to move out of the driveway before you give them a command.

In what way do you mean  Huh

94  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Major imbalance of boys vs girls being born on: 2006 January 15, 15:22:26
Girls are plentiful in my neighbourhood too.  Since my new install I've had like 15 girls and 2 boys.  I don't like reloading for gender, but I guess I will need to soon.

In a new neighbourhood the first kids will always be girls. Ts2 tries to get an equal male/female spread in each neighbourhood, and as there are more male-only NPCs you'll start with a shortage in females.

Add a dummy family of females, or generate some female townies to rebalance the hood.

You could be right.  This is my third install since getting the original and I've always started fresh.  I always get alot more girls than boys.
95  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: HACK RATING SYSTEM on: 2006 January 15, 15:01:38
Annoyances will be the top of my list.  I re-installed sims a week ago with no hacks/cc and tried playing.  I lasted like umm 15 mins!

The hack rating system is a fantastic idea, it will be so much easier to get the fixes/hacks we need.

96  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: HACK REQUEST: No Shock on: 2006 January 13, 00:17:25
I don't know, there are times where I myself get shocked.  I use Crammyboy's realistic mod for guys, and last night one of the professors jumped in the love tub naked.  I hadn't set his options, so he was a dark-skinned elder male with a pale white thingy.  He even stood up and greeted his date like that!  That was their first date, BTW.  She wasn't shocked, but I had to gasp and blink a couple of time.  Then I set his options and made him look better.  LOL  But it was hillarious.

LOL ^^

If any of my simmies ever get naked like that, no matter how outgoing they are, they never just walk around that way.  After a few seconds they always change back into what they were wearing.
97  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does cologne affect anything besides turn-ons/off? on: 2006 January 11, 01:28:03

I think a wide range of hobbies would also been a great idea for turn-offs/ons.  Like Chess, Computers or any number of things as that plays a big role in relationships too imo.
98  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Everybody probably knows this, but I didn't *feels dumb* on: 2006 January 09, 08:54:37
your free will options are only highlighted when you are playing your sims in their house,  glad I can give advice instead of asking for once... Shocked

Ty so much, I never knew, guess you learn something new everyday Smiley

99  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Everybody probably knows this, but I didn't *feels dumb* on: 2006 January 09, 07:20:17

Sorry for this being a lil off topic but I was wondering, my free will options are always greyed out.  I reinstalled everything recently and I still don't have the option.  Do I need to set something anywhere? I'm quite sure that it shouldn't have anything to do with graphics.
100  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No longer amused. Anyone know what's up with the Social Workers? on: 2006 January 07, 02:31:00

I was wondering tho, has anyone ever gotten a match from sims we have created ourselves?  I always gets townies/npcs and the like on a blind date.  Is it possible for the gypsy to match a CAS sim at all?
