101  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: All my plans Ruined! on: 2006 January 07, 01:51:16
I absolutely hate that too.  The obsession that sims get with a past love also is very annoying.  Hey you graduated like 20 years ago, married and have 3 kids yet you want to flirt with ure college boyfriend everyday? the only way I've found that I can get rid of that is if I put the relationship to 0, even then they still want to do something with a past love.

The bolts are kind of decieving.  I had a couple who had 1 lighting bolt for each other, then the wife would constantly be dreaming of some townie that I didn't even know.  I found him later but heck no idea when she even met or saw the guy.  I eventually gave in to her, since it gets difficult playing a happily married couple when you have one of them dreaming and fantasising over someone else :/

I also had a sim who just graduated and was obsessing over his college sweetheart (who happened to be romance, not at all suitable for a knowledge guy).  They had 1 bolt together.  I played him for like 15-20 sim days and well no matter who he dated or who he met with I couldn't get him to hate her.  I even made him catch her with someone else.  He was furious with her but still wanted her.  Anyways I managed to find him a 3 bolt townie, they married but that didn't work either.  So in the end, when he turned elder I made him marry her.  Funny thing was he never got any wants towrds his 3 bolt ex-wife ever.  He just lived happily ever after.  Weird huh?

Anyone else get really annoyed when the sim that you control gives the other sim a kiss when the date ends? It's autonomous, and what's worse is when the other sim rejects it, especially if the relationship isn't high enough.

I had two teenagers on a date once, who were just friends.  At dinner she didn't have much time left so I thought I'd use one of the selections like "toast" or something to give them some more time.  I found a "throw food" selection (think it's in entertain?) anyways, after she threw food at him, they developed a crush.

So yea umm, next time you're on a date guys, don't throw food at him/her.  She/he might get the wrong idea :/

Aren't you mighty glad now that it's all free  Grin
104  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I am officially sick of twins. on: 2005 November 17, 02:33:11
I've never used the cheat codes, I try and play fairly cheat-free.  I will use fixes etc to enhance gameplay or get rid of annoyances tho.

105  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I am officially sick of twins. on: 2005 November 17, 02:21:09
Thanks for the link Missdoh Smiley I already put that in couple weeks ago but so far still hasn't worked.  Then again I haven't played a great deal since.

If not I'll just download a hack that does the trick entirely.  I'm just a lil freaky over the whole male pregnancy thing, I know it's a game but it's still ewww to me Tongue

LOL!!
107  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How much is too much on: 2005 November 16, 21:27:53
Wow, I guess I'm more impatient than I thought.  My game takes about a min or less to load, and while I wait I tap my fingers constantly and complain about how slow it is Tongue

I have about 450MB of downloads, which isn't too bad.  I recently downloaded a few things and noticed that loading into house/community lots now is alot slower(probably like 20-30 more) maybe not much for some who wait 15 mins(insane!) but when you're not used to it, seems like a lifetime.
108  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What the?! on: 2005 November 16, 20:59:23
That doesn't look healthy  Shocked

Have you checked you're other nieghbourhoods to see if the same thing happens?

109  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game throws new Curve on: 2005 November 16, 20:41:52
Aye, but the bed has nothing to do with "autonomous proposals" heh.  That being said, Lizzlove's bed is one my favorite modded objects.  I use it on almost every family, newlyweds I use it on low, and with the risky woohoo pregnancies range from 3-10 days from when they married.  Much more realistic imo.

Edit: Lizzlove's bed has been updated for nightlife on MT2, for those who are still using the old version.
110  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game throws new Curve on: 2005 November 16, 20:33:32
Very strange, you sure you didn't accidently click something else?

111  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I am officially sick of twins. on: 2005 November 16, 19:12:07
So many people yelled and screamed for twins, and almost everyone used a mod that gave them more than 1 child Tongue I guess they upped the odds of having twins in NL (even tho its not proven but most say it's likely).

I've had many sets of twins myself since NL and yes it is getting quite annoying.  I have yet to see an abduction in my game.  Yes I could download a hack but I've always wanted it to happen "naturally".  Most of my sims are knowledge too.  /sigh

Downloading right now  Cheesy
114  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How Many Townies do you have? on: 2005 November 15, 20:41:33
My main nieghbourhood has 532, that's alot of townies!  I always thought there was alot when I play but never knew it was that many eeek!!

Would it be too late to put any hacks in to fix this to a much lower level?
115  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Poor Baby! on: 2005 November 15, 20:17:41
Trying to take the coffee cup to the second floor when they can put it right in front is a tad annoying.  Actually I've noticed that if you happen to put table/chairs upstairs (I had a house with a large balcony second floor) They would cook then go downstairs to eat at the kitchen table :/

I really wish that *somebody* would make a mod that deletes the influence wants, I don't mind them in uni so much, but playing in you're regular nieghbourhood these wants show up on almost every sim and takes up 3 of 6 slots everytime Sad
116  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Poor Baby! on: 2005 November 14, 23:25:54
Wow, alot of great stuff on that site, thanks for the link Zephyr Smiley

I never thought about not having to mop up after a bath.  Almost all my sims are at least 4 clean tho, so I never get the puddle heh.
117  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Poor Baby! on: 2005 November 14, 23:13:52
ZephyrZodiac, where can I find those recolours?

Main reason I don't like to have baths is my sims tend to get obsessed with them.  If they aren't playing in it, they are taking constant baths even if the comfort/hygiene meter is full.
118  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Poor Baby! on: 2005 November 14, 22:32:23
I've noticed most of my nannies will take the toddler to potty if he/she needs to go, but only when they've already been potty-trained.

There is also something that bothers me alot, and I have no idea why it's different in some households.  When the hygiene of the toddler is really low and/or fully red, the adults of the household sometimes get the "change diaper" option on the changing table, but most of the time they never get it.  I tried to see if it was related to how clean a sim is, but it seems to make no difference.

It's really annoying cos most the time I never have baths, I just use showers in all the households.
119  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife and Twins on: 2005 November 14, 22:05:31
Done Smiley

Btw how did you manage to get the sim to hold the child that way in you're avatar?
120  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife and Twins on: 2005 November 14, 20:04:18
I sent it to virgali by email yesterday Zeljka.  I've never used the BBS for anything, actually I just checked my account there and it all seems complicated, couldn't even find the spot you use to upload anything  Huh

I'd be happy to send him to you by email if you're still interested  Smiley
121  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any Decent Custom Hair? on: 2005 November 13, 23:21:11
I guess I really need to go through all my downloads and check the poly's (now that I have simpe).  I don't have that many downloads really but I've noticed my game is quite slow and I have noticible lag when my mouse hovers from one side of the screen to the other.

There was a thread where you mentioned how to check the poly counts Motoki, but I can't seem to remember which one it was.  Thanks for the heads up on that btw, I'm quite fussy about what goes into my game.
122  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Who's getting the x-mas pack? on: 2005 November 13, 23:13:59
I have no plans to get it....nothing except the fireworks interest me and I am sure (just like the 'exclusive' hot rod) it will be up on a lot on the Exchange  Wink

If I end up wanting it, I'm sure it'll be up on bittorrent.

LOL I'm with you two. I don't plan to purchase it, but it may end up on my hard drive somehow or other. Wink

I second that  Wink
123  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any Decent Custom Hair? on: 2005 November 13, 23:05:14
I think it was Milla M, and the hairstyle is called Bombshell Diva.  There isn't any of Lola's on that site afaik.
124  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any Decent Custom Hair? on: 2005 November 13, 21:58:48
There is also some nice recolours and meshes at:

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/SimmillionHomes3/

I like the Diva hairstyle, and the "That Girl" is fitting for some of my nerdy looking sims Tongue

You need to be a member to download but I thought it was worth it.  No idea how "high" the poly counts are for these.  Got Simpe just yesterday and I'm still playing around with it.
125  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Little hacks/mods personal story (mea-culpa again) on: 2005 November 13, 21:19:58
I was always hesitant about installing any hacks/mods in my game for months Missdoh.  But once you start it's addicting Wink

What I normally do when I install any new hacks is put in one at a time, play a lil bit, if no problems then leave it in.

The thing that annoys me the most with the "Whats this" is when you buy the potty for toddlers or other stuff which you don't really get any other choice, and they NEVER like it.  It's not like you get the option to buy a better or more expensive one  Huh
