1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 November 29, 14:24:50
With latest build (11/24 9:34 am), I am experiencing tremendous lag and odd time jumps. Sims stand for long periods of time before engaging in next queued activity and the clock will jump anywhere from half hour to around an hour instead of progressing by minute or at most two to three minute increment jumps while in 'normal' speed.

Took out AwesomeMod (my only installed mod) and problem does not occur.

I am having this exact same problem with this build. Updating Awesomemod was the only change I made to my game before this started to happen.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 19, 12:28:48
Since Late night I've been having a few issues- mostly visual, but still annoying. I can no longer see fish in fishing spots, which means I have to use awesomemod just to be able to fish. Skill bars hang around randomly in the air, and thought bubbles do the same. I'm sure there are a couple of others too, but I can't think of them right now.

Actually, it just seems to be all animations; I had a sim catch fire tonight, but there were no flames and a fight, but without all the dust and random symbols.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Sims 3 patch on: 2010 July 10, 09:40:30
It's a MIRACLE!

um.

My sim decided to go fishing on his own, and now I can order him to fish again. I'm happy it fixed itself, but slightly confused as to why it happened. Anyway.

This has happened to me before, not just with fishing though. Sometimes it affects the fridge, or bookshelves. It either corrects itself after a couple of sim days, or you have to abandon the family and start over.
4  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Features of expansions not available on: 2006 July 20, 14:15:07
(well officially it is, in my game I've altered all the spellings as well, because I am a pain in the arse when it comes to my YOOS).

Is this a SimPE thing? If it is, could you give some instructions, or a link to them please, as this p's me off royally!
5  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Restaurant hunger fix on: 2006 June 20, 09:42:19
I always find it amazing how they can leave their house having just been to the bathroom, and arrive at the community lot NEXT DOOR needing to go again!

Actually, with the time the taxi rides take in my game, thats believable.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Your Favorite Default Replacement Skins? on: 2006 May 31, 14:03:45
I have tried other skins but keep ending up with AllenABQ's skins made into defaults. They're not super-realistic but they do have body hair (on the men).  I tend not to like the shiny look, plus I think a lot of "realistic" skins have this weird effect where the collarbone seems to really stick out...

Are these the (adult) ones that Jfreddog converted to default on MTS2, ages ago? If so, im using the same ones. If not, ill shut up and go away. Smiley

I can't stand skins that are far too realistic. All of enaylas and helaenes fit into that category. I had to go and find a separate adult alien skin though- i played for over a year without even noticing that was missing.

One of my born-in-game sims fell head over heels in love with the llama mascot from the Academie Uni and they got married, had 3 children and lived happily together.  He often turned up at relatives' houses in his llama suit and even his daughter's wedding!  Whenever he was invited to Uni to visit his children he would come as the mascot and entertain the dormie's - he was just eccentric I suppose  Roll Eyes

Some people just never let go of their university years....  Grin
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: College Tuition Mod? on: 2006 April 03, 13:25:26
Dr.Beast - Back where I come from (Poland) Uni is free too for the state universities... ah, Europe.... But I've heard they're contemplating whether to make students pay in a few years.

Personally I think it's a conspiracy... If they make education expensive then only the rich-elite will be able to go to uni. Then only the rich-elite will have the top jobs and leadership positions... And it will be much easier for them to manipulate the uneducated population..

Ok, rant over  Tongue

In the UK, we now pay for our higher education (more and more each year it seems) instead of funding people to improve their skills and education and it does discourage people.

Yep, i will finish uni in the uk next year with over £20,000 of debt, not including any overdraft, or credit card bills. I even have to pay half my university fees this year, while i'm out of the country on placements, so im paying £1,500 to get 1 visit and 3 or 4 phone calls every 6 months. Isnt that value for money? And my sister, who will start in september, will leave with over £30,000. It is really stupid, and makes me want to leave the country. Where was education free again?

This thread http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=3106.msg90772;topicseen#msg90772 mentions some of the longer ways, if you fancy trying any of them.

And before this thread i thought my 10 days, 9 hours and 39 minutes were a lot. I need to start coming on here outside of work!!
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: For those BBS-phobics....there's a new patch out. on: 2006 February 16, 10:27:41

12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Awww... shucks (newsbox) on: 2006 February 14, 16:03:28
St Patricks day is the coolest day ever- mostly because my uni has a 15 hour drinking marathon. I'll still be going to that when im 40!

And Renatus, can i have vodka in my coke, and chocolate too please? Im greedy.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Awww... shucks (newsbox) on: 2006 February 14, 15:46:04
Is it too early to get hammered?  Tongue

Why? Btw, Happy Valentines Day  Grin
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: nasty dress glitch on: 2006 February 14, 12:08:11
I would love to say ditto, but someone posted pics of this on mts2 (?) a while ago. Its a graphics glitch that shows up with some outfits on fat sims.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My experiences with creating townies on: 2006 February 13, 16:28:34
I dont suppose you could make it so it randomises turn ons and turn offs as well? Pretty please?  Grin That would make it just about perfect.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: WinRar--Empty Archives?? on: 2006 February 09, 12:46:27
Have you checked to make sure the files arent where you extracted them? I had this message with two files when i downloaded some hair last week, but there was nothing else in the folder, and the package files appeared anyway. I havent checked to see if they are in the game yet though (not allowed to play till i categorise all my hair)
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does This Sim Scare The Bejesus Outta You? on: 2006 February 08, 15:50:43
Isnt it meant to be the same distance as from the last joint to the end of your index finger? Im sure thats what my biology teacher told me. (Years ago- i may be wrong)
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Need lesson in CPU on: 2006 February 07, 15:46:51
Looking at your (read- everyones) specs makes me itch to upgrade my computer. At the moment i play on my mums laptop (which isnt too bad-only lags on large lots with 8 sims after ive been playing a while or at the day - night change), and by the time i get back to England, ill probably be better off just buying a new pc- mine is almost 5 years old, and wasnt great then.

So does anyone know of any sites like newegg that are in the uk? Cos the shipping from america would probably be more than the pc.

22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is this bad? on: 2006 February 01, 09:52:51
I have family trees for the sims i play- although just done in paint and paint.net, as i cant really justify buying photoshop just for my sims family trees. Means they arent as good as the ones above, but it helps me keep track.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sorry for sounding like a dolt. Question about aging_off and birth and stuff on: 2006 January 31, 10:23:09
Mine is a legacy too- i never get teens pregnant, but i figured young adults can woohoo anyway, why not add a bit of risk?
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sorry for sounding like a dolt. Question about aging_off and birth and stuff on: 2006 January 31, 10:14:03
Last night i moved my YA family, including their toddler child, between college lots, and there were no problems, if that helps you be braver.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Know of any good sites for male hair? on: 2006 January 26, 16:40:33
