Can your sims actually get it on with the reaper and have a kid with him?  I've never had him stick around long enough to find out.

I've been "experimenting" with the Grim Reaper and my sim did just get the option to "Try for Baby" though it was rejected, I guess higher relationship and/or more "aroused" necessary. She's in a relationship with one Reaper and the love interest of another (two Grim Reapers, glitch?). Will continue the experiment and see what happens.

Ah ok, I had done so I thought that had messed it up. Guess it's just messed up in general then!

Just a word on the Grim Reaper, it is possible to socialise with him and even fall in love with him. You can't socialise with him every time he visits, but if you kill enough sims you do get the occasional opportunity to chat and flirt if he hangs about afterwards. I actually have one sim who has the unlucky trait and is pretty unhappy at all the other people dying. Every time I try and kill him Grim tells him he's not going to take him because he enjoys his misery too much, thus I've been trying to kill him over and over and every time Grim hangs about I've had another sim socialise with him.

I haven't finished my experiments, currently the sim socialising with Grim has him down as a love interest and has made out with him. Don't know how much further you can take it, will resume killing at the weekend to see if babbies are possible. Thus far I've discovered Grim is a Couch Potato, Inappropriate, Grumpy and a Bookworm.

I also noticed, if you edit town at any point and go back into the household, a different Grim shows up, and therefore my sim has two Grims in her relationship panel. The original one started showing up again so both are now love interests of hers.

... And as for the wishes resetting, if you played different houses in the Sims2 often when going back to the original household, wants and fears would be reset.  Is the wish resetting somehow more of a problem to players than Sims2 want resetting?

I've never had wants reset when switching between households. Unless a playable sim has gone on a date with another playable sim from a different household, I've never seen the wants change. Just me?

Please finish it! I love how it looks!

I am aiming to get it done before the month is out Wink

I think all the houses to date have been great. Things I would never have thought of doing.

SalixTree, I really love your makeovers. The latest looks very interesting Cheesy

I've been lurking in these threads a long time, I really love what you guys do with the Maxis houses, the Curious Bro's house was probably my favourite.

I did start work on this one, though if I ever finish it is another matter. I only recently arrquired Mansion and Garden stuff so I was playing with the new roofs (which annoyingly appear to not really be roofs, but objects which don't go away if you put the walls down, though I'm probably doing it wrong). I had in mind the lot belonging to a good witch and a bad witch, with epic battles on the opposing balconies a la Sims 1. I've only done the outside, not windowed the whole thing yet, mostly just exploring the roofs.

I extended the front foundations, not sure about the porch yet, might scrap it.

I discovered that yesterday and was pretty annoyed. But I can always download content directly from the site I guess. Was it not the case with TS2 anyway, one account per serial? TS1 let you have more than one account. Those were the days...
33  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Lest we forget: SPORE on: 2008 September 11, 15:11:13
Yeah you just need the -w on the shortcut.
34  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: MASSIVE SECURITY HAZARD in Spore! on: 2008 September 09, 12:37:48
Yeah mine said about drivers, but I figured it was just because I just formatted and haven't connected the laptop to the internet since to update vista and drivers and such. But it runs fine.

Does anyone have any idea, when game tries to do an 'online activation'? I mean does it 'activate' when the game is intalling or does it 'activate' the first time you play the game? (I want to prevent it from activating, since the computer I use for gaming is not connected to the internet...at all. The internet is on another computer).

So if it activates when you first start the game, I have no problem (see gamecopyworld  Wink ), otherwise...
(Yes, I want a copy I can legally hold in my hand)

I only had to activate it the once online, it's when you first load the game. You can play sans internets otherwise. I do have the EA downloader copy though. Not a real one or an arr'd one, though I still got it for free.

On women, it just confuses me and I stare.

In my hometown we have a resident bearded lady who is apparently quite famous (for being the bearded lady). There's a group on facebook petitioning to get her on Big Brother.

Anyway, I present the bearded lady of Guildford, for no real reason other than all the beard talk. There used to be this animation someone made of her eating a small child, but it got taken down...

I love all these, such a good idea and such great results!

So the pottery thing. Either I'm going crazy or there's some borkage. Sim A had some pots in her inventory. She was skillinating away, making more pots, and now they're gone. All but 2.
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Strange Uni problem on: 2008 March 10, 21:54:24
I had this problem yesterday, I'd just moved a couple into a uni residential lot and their bars were stuck. They were fine if they visited other uni commercial lots, but not at home. This lot was one of the old old lots that came with the game that lived in the lotbin. I moved them out, went in in build mode, changed a small thing, saved and exited. Moved them back in and it was fine. Not sure if what I did really solved it. Would be curious as to what others think.

These were CAS YAs.
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Has anyone had trouble aging townie children? on: 2008 March 08, 12:27:33
I've had no problems with this so far, so sorry can't help there, but I did notice when I wanted to send one guy off to college and take his townie girlfriend with him - she didn't show up on the list of townie teens to make households out of? Kind of weird and irritating.
41  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 February 29, 12:16:11
Bug? Annoyance?

Tina was stacking potty-training the twins when Nawwaf, the live-in, was shooting hoops. In between flushing some piss and picking up the next spawn to potty-train, she dropped queue (yeah, nothing new) and decided to join Nawwaf. I immediately caught it and cancelled the action, but it wouldn't cancel until she'd walked out of the house, around the add-on, and back to the backyard. Meanwhile, I nearly had a stinky diaper situation.

Had this happen with shooting hoops too. Cancelled out a sims action to go shoot hoops and he still walked all the way to the court before the action went away.
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Did Freetime do this to my game?! on: 2008 February 29, 12:02:59
I still have that option. Or I at least know I still have the call guests to dinner one because I remember doing it yesterday. Was it one of the new dishes or something?
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FreeTime questions on: 2008 February 29, 11:59:56
Wasn't it sharing secrets and greeting from long distances or something?

How I understood it was you have to maintain best friend status for a certain amount of time (don't know how long) to turn them into a BFF (blech).

ETA: It also says about them not being able to stay mad with the other sim.

The statue in the boxers!!

That might be hard to mesh though.

I can't remember what the other thing was I missed... I'll get back to you.

Great idea Smiley

I thought ROLFing was doing a Rolf Harris by playing 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport' on a wobbleboard... Tongue

Cheesy

It's #2 on google.uk

And you were right, this really is shiny!

Then I guess I'd better bloody do it haven't I? Tongue Cause there's no way you're doing that missy!

gali - Anyone who deletes their account and then makes a new one (and I have no idea who else has done so except Trubble) will have to start over on their time count.  And it doesn't matter at all, except it means I have spent A MONTH! here.

It was just me, no one else did.

And Blue if I remember rightly you've had three or four accounts here, so you'd have to add those too Tongue
