Baaa - I'll pass that on - I bet I'm not the only one wondering if the corners are getting full coverage.
I downloaded a TSR challenge lot where the sprinkers were set up overlapping and covered the fruit trees too.
You don't need to water the trees at all surely.

The TSR challenge was the McDonalds; it was a lot of fun and took ages as I stuck with the spirit of it, gave hubby an LTW of marry off 6 kids (instead of 6 grandkids which doesn't working in my game) and had them pop out another 4 kids on top of the pair they had.  Getting a continually pregnant sim a top level home farm business took a long time!

i am also playing that lot, the lag on my computer from playing a large lot is awful though. i deleted most of the sprinklers (orchard trees do NOT need watering as you say) and rearranged the greenhouse, the layout was pathetic. also, the house is at least twice as big as it needs to be.

baa from me too. i thought overlapping sprinklers might cause those pathetic dripping plants.

however, using sprinkers together with macro-garden does sometimes result in overwatering of plants in greenhouses.

i often wish that juice trays could be stored in the fridge as leftovers. so that link will come in handy, putting them in inventory is almost as good.

i hadn't noticed this as hydrobots are banned in my game, along with cleanbots.

the sprinklers work perfectly well, now i have the hack that makes them break less often.
i go into overhead view when i place the sprinklers and the soil, to ensure that all veggies get sprinkler coverage, by just one sprinkler to avoid overwatering.

my grand vampires all seem to be emo pleasure sims who whine about everything and won't even drink espresso autonomously.

most of my sims seem quite able to autonomously amuse themselves however. i often concentrate on just one or two or three in a household and let the rest get on with it. all my fortune and knowledge sims have high IQ's thanks to the lot debugger Tongue. i do not have any of the hacks that prevent OCD behaviour though. i also try to ensure that there are sufficient fun and skilling objects for the other sims.

I also do not understand why plant sims complain about the mess when there are puddles of water on the floor. They don't have an environment bar after all.

My first plant sim had a crowd of plantbabies, and I put them in a room with several sprinklers, toddler toys and sun lamps, then I got an adult to set the sprinklers off. The toddlers were very happy, splashing in the puddles and skilling, but the adult plant sim kept trying to mop up the puddles, and she got that thought bubble that shows a bad environment.

breaking sprinklers are extremely irritating. they make environment scores plummet. also, only the NPC repair-sim seems to be able to fix them. DLing now. thanks

i think the thought bubble looks like the "need social" one? if she doesn't have a gold gardening badge she cant talk to plants  Tongue

thanks. the lot debugger thread doesn't really explain how to do it, so i have posted my question over there. all others with the same problem, follow me  Wink

I have just started using the lot debugger (all the sims I've played recently have IQ's of 300  Grin) and was referred here by this thread: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,8850.0/topicseen.html

There is an option to change the first name, and then change the first name again in a way that makes the previous choice the new last name.

Briefly, I need to change some names (first and last) that got messed up when I installed Seasons. I am totally ignorant insofar as code goes, most of what is said in this forum goes straight over my head. I have read this whole thread and need some more information, so I would therefore greatly appreciate it if one of the Awesome could explain how to do this.

I have not yet used the lot debugger in debug mode, so I am assuming that the change name option comes up when you shift/click on it in debug mode?

OK thanks, I did as suggested. Are there any suggestions as to how to change the names back? They show up correctly in SimPE but not in-game. I used the tombstone of L&D to change some first names back. I thought of putting in the full names as the "first name" so at least I know who they are, but this does not work with longer names.

noob here.

i am not awesome and i don't want to break my game.

after i installed seasons, a number of my sims had had their names changed, and i would like to change the names back if possible.

i have read various threads on the topic and heard all about how the version is wrong for the region and so on. i live in south africa and bought the EP at a large chain store. yes, i now have a 24 hour clock in my game and am happy with it, quite frankly i am delighted.

The addition of that last patch suggested fixed the problem.  THANK YOU!

i would like to know which patch exactly, as there are 3 mods on the page referred to, and all seem to be about clocks.

does the mod change the renaming problem? or is that something that is likely to happen only once?

i apologise for all these questions, but my servos' names have all changed and i am going nuts trying to tell them apart (they now all have random townie names like Amar Raha, Chris Hurt and Beth Wilkie.)
