1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2013 July 02, 22:30:03
Seeing as how AM usually takes the approach of disallowing the game to spawn special life states unless initiated by the player, I would like to request that the game be allowed to spawn mermaids.
This isn't because I want to play as them but simply because from what I understand, they are required for the purpose of unlocking one of the "hidden" islands. If the game isn't allowed to spawn any then Sims won't be able to befriend them and therefore will not be able to unlock said island.

Would said island still be able to be found via the lifetime reward map?  Would changing a townie into a mermaid alleviate the problem?  Is the island only able to be reached via a mermaid spawned by the game?  I would think perhaps the answer to these questions should be looked into before changing Awesomemod.

Where exactly can I grab the test version of 1.55 anyway?

If you have to ask you're not ready for the test version.
I had my bets placed that someone would say this.

Do I have to go through some obscure More Awesome Than You initiation to get access to the test version?

No, you just need to lurk and explore more.
Also, be willing to have your save possibly ruined and not care about that fact.

I also haven't worked out what the damn weatherstone is actually for. My two witches have tried it singly and together and only once did it work - and even then I wasn't sure what it did except give an impressive lightning show.

The weather stone has differing effects depending on which supernatural sim interacts with it.  The effects are not always guaranteed to work.  Vampires will summon fog which allows for activity during the day iirc without the burning up moodlet.  It also allows for sims to become much more likely to accept vampires interactions such as being fed from among other things.  Witches summon rain which gives a boost to mood and causes those in the rain to dance wildly.  Werewolves summon a snow storm which causes collectables to fall from the sky.  It also increases their chance to find rare collectables.  And finally fairies will summon rain and flowers from the sky which helps gardening and makes a rainbow appear.

Vampires and Werewolves seem to have the advantage with the stone.

I think the excessive combustion rate of Sims is actually an AwesomeMod issue. I have one save that was created vanilla and as soon as I load it with AwesomeMod added an inactive Sim (Marty Keaton in Sunset Valley) will catch fire within a few minutes while at work in the stadium rabbithole. When I load that save without AM nothing happens. I tried this three times and the result was always the same. The only other mod I used was MasterController, which allowed me to search for Sims with certain moodlets.

Sims are catching fire in my game too.  It's interesting.  I'm using AwesomeMod, Overwatch, ErrorTrap and the Career Mod from Nrass.

We need an update for 1.39 QQ

You need to wait.

Can you please remove the censor for the toddlers on the potty too? I don't want to use yet another mod just for this knowing that AM already remove it for the adults.

Awesomemod doesn't remove the censor for adults using the toilet.  On a completely different point of discussion there seems to be a new patch for addressing the zombie spam from EA.

Can you make it so that when your werewolf sims transform they either keep their normal face or only the new sliders (brow, ears and jaw) are applied? The fact that every werewolf in my town has the same two faces urks me something fierce.

While reading the forums at MTS I noticed Twallan seems to have figured out some of the issues with Werewolves and their transformations.  I do not use that particular mod though so I must admit I would also like Awesomemod to handle this one day.
Yes, Overwatch fixes it.

Nope, still only the two faces. You Nrassians need to get your facts straight, here you say cverwatch at MTS they say master controller, neither of which do what I was asking for.

I noticed the discrepancy afterwards also but neglected to bring it up.  I suppose I will just wait and see who offers the best solution.  I'd prefer it to be Awesome.

How long has it been since you've updated your video card drivers?
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod for 1.38/Supernatural on: 2012 September 14, 02:09:00
Since no one else has pointed it out:  The base mod/config tool are now the same versions as the test mod.  *facepalm

Why are you ruining the potential for more fun?
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 September 10, 19:42:07
Where is Link for AwesomeMod   1.38??     I just down loaded from the  "shiny" page and it is still the 1.36 version.!   Undecided

AwesomeMod 1.38 is not ready for public release.  It may take quite a while longer for it to release because people continue to find bugs.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Error 12 really a RAM issue? on: 2012 September 09, 00:52:22
You have to have a processor that is capable of running a 64-bit OS as well.

Jezzer, do you know whether my Intel Core 2 6400 is capable?

Don't bother Jezzer when you can google something in five seconds.

When you upgrade an OS you would generally want to stay at the same "level".  If you have a home edition stay on that level, etc.  A clean install doesn't mean you'll lose everything if you have multiple hard drives and are smart about it.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Error 12 really a RAM issue? on: 2012 September 08, 05:44:42
What is the operating system that you are currently using?
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 May 15, 22:16:46
It was my problem and not a problem with AM in any way.  It was tight pants.
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 May 15, 03:04:24
I need a little bit of help or advice please.  I'm having an issue which I believe may be related to the new store patch that was released today.  I am currently using AM, NoMemories, NoIntro, NraasOverwatch, NraasCareer, a Custom Career and some of Cmar's hacks.  The game will CTD within approximately twenty minutes of play time.  I have removed my other hacks and I think it may be AM related.  Should I wait for another AM update, try to generate an error log or upload a save?  I have had no problems with my hack setup prior to the store update and my hacks are up to date.  I also had issues installing the patch as well.  Would a reinstall of the game be out of the question?
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to see a ghost? on: 2008 December 02, 03:34:57
Someone really should do a study on ghosts.  Things like haunting habits, methods of death, abilities as a ghost, etc...
Man, make a whole mod with seances and such... fun fun.

tryclyn: thank you, i think that covers everything... unless enayla did a bigfoot skin lol.  ...did she?  Grin

SaraMK: :O  Drama is a shiny.  Time to make some hot beverage and read.  Cheesy

I happen to have that one if you would like it.

Cool, it seems insim is down... or I'm having problems getting the page to load so if you want to share please do so.
Thank you.

Ghosts are such an interesting aspect of the game.  I wish more had been done with them.

This should help TC:

This is a great skin.  I have all Enayla skins for my Sims, now I just need a decent one for the genie and I'm good.
I saw the other one posted but I don't like the design on his forehead with that skin.

You do know about the mod located at pandorasims right?

I'd feel better knowing whom they stole it from.

Ah, I had no idea.  It is stolen, what a coincidence... arrr.
Too bad some one won't give it a better go.

Back on topic I think I'm going to try this thread's hack.
24  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Proper Gardening Badge Building! on: 2008 November 25, 23:43:25
As for the link to the slacker career, you DO realize what it's REALLY growing, right?

Ugly shrubs.

You made me depressed all over again over the fact that no one ever made a decent mod.

You do know about the mod located at pandorasims right?

are the plants that are created from the hydroponic station able to be hacked for selling via ofb?
