Does it open and close?

HAHAHAHA, I'm pretty sure that JM hope it could be closed.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Oh please with that stairs ! on: 2006 June 30, 09:01:34
This is why I always use Targa's elevators (they have only one tile place) just behind or just near the main stairs. So my sims have a choice and normally I no longer had the stuck problem.

Hi, Max, how are you?

4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fulfiling Multiple LTWs/'Impossible' LTWs on: 2006 June 23, 16:35:45
......
50 First Dates and 50 Dream Dates are fundamentally impractical. 50 First Dates can be done through crash dating where you just ask anyone and everyone for one, then immediately end it, but I see this approach as fundamentally insincere, although not as bad as the 100K exploit. 50 Dream Dates is an LTW based on pure tedium, since you could just chain it over and over on a community lot, with no real risk, using the tailing wants of the first date to jumpstart the next date (With the exact same person, no less, since they don't leave after dates!). It's easy enough to do if you really want to. It is unknown whether this means your sim will be dropping by your lot for the next week or so to deliver 50 tons of crappy dateflowers, though.
.....

Maybe there is a chance that Mr. JM Pescado would be so gentle to think about a mod or a global hack that reduces the number of first/dream dates to something reasonable, as 5 or 10?

Well, I'm also an "ancient" but I think this your mod is really a GREAT mod.
I have many friends that lives in the same home as they are married and they aren't, nor engaged, so the term "steady" is absolutely good for them. And, this matches perfectly the Pescado's romancemod, because a steady sim in my game normally refuses flirts or other romantic interactions from strangers.

Keep a good work. Thanks
6  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Local Walkbys on: 2006 June 21, 16:44:10
Just a little notice.
If you, like me, are playing into a custom hood and have previously DELETED the default hoods, you don't need this mod.
This way I never saw walkbys except my ownies.

8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: An unused asperation? on: 2006 June 15, 14:17:56
If I remember well, this aspiration wasn't inside NL but it's up from OFB.

Maybe....nothing to do with Servos?
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Toddlers with 6 want slots on: 2006 May 31, 14:33:12
The Aspiration-module of the InSim, ALLOW you to re-set the wants panel to the standard 4 wants. Then you can re-add the other two wants slots if you desire so.

Read through pages of Insim-explanations. Downloaded INSIM OFB version. Tried to download the aspiration module, but there was no downloading option, instructions said it was included in the main version. Tried the Insim-tool on several lots, clicked on all sections and submenues but could not find the option to reduce the wants to standard. Especially could not find the option to spawn the aspiration-tool. My pie menue differs from some of the pictures there (less items, although I have all addons installed).
I will go there again and read through some more pages.

Huh Very strange.
So, download the InSim SIM edition 2.3 universal and install it into your Sims2 downloads folder. Make sure there is ONLY one version of the InSim installed.
Play the game and enter into your lot.
Click everywhere you want in the lot, garden, floor or wathever..
You must see the voice "spawn..." into the following menu.
Then choose the "aspiration adjuster" that is the little green stool like the one the children use to step up for eg washing their hands.
Clicking on it, you should have a new menu, choose "wants" and in the following sub-menu, choose "restore panel wants".
Should works.

Massssster isss alwysssss right (gollum coming creeping back). This inseminator thing cannot remove slots or locks - at least not for me. And this really IS a very unawsome tool ....

Crammyboy, thanks for your good work.
I have a little issue with your previous 2.05 version. I have installed also the DMA woohoo starter pack and one of these files conflicts (not really dangerous) with your hack.
In fact, i lost the option "sleep naked" from all my beds, default or custom.
By the simwardrobe's hack checker, I found there is a conflict on the sleep call routine with your 2.05 and the DMAObj_support.package.

Does this new version solve this little issue?
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Toddlers with 6 want slots on: 2006 May 30, 14:42:56
Sorry to mismatch you, JM. There is an hack to restore the wants panel during game.
I know you consider it as not awesome but...
It's the InSim module of aspiration.
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Perpetual pregnancy redux on: 2006 May 30, 14:34:41
removing the mod did work.  I think it was conflicting with nobabyharrassment.  I knew I was gonna get pounded for having a non-awesome hack.  I would be glad to d/l an awesome version!

C

Squinge (wich I think IS an awesome guy!), had clearly esplained that the "nursebaby" mod conflicts with the JM's "nobabyharassement".
The better solution I found was to delete the JM's one and leave installed the squinge's one. All works very fine for me.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Business Owner are unemployed? on: 2006 April 01, 17:58:18
Not sure this was discussed before.
Anyway, a Sim owner of a community shop, appears in my game as always unemployed if it has not a "regular" job.

Is this a big idiot (another) Maxis Bug, or it's possible to solve?

15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is it possible to enable build mode on community lots, or another easy way... on: 2006 January 18, 17:17:36
Maybe there is a way, a little hard but...

1. Clone a paint with SimPE (various tutorials availables).
2. Place inside the paint of the sim (extracted from his thumbnail - tuorial at MTS2).
3. Always with SimPE, categorize the cloned paint to have it available in community lot (again, tutorial at MTS2).
4. Simply place the new paint into your graveyard lot (build lot mode).

I think it should work.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Stuck Beds (or stuck halves of beds) on: 2006 January 05, 10:32:59
Thanks, ZZ.

My furniture from inventory issue appears also when I move a sim from a lot to another inside the same hood.
And appears only for beds and wardrobes, not for cars, coffe machines or similar stuffs.

17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Stuck Beds (or stuck halves of beds) on: 2006 January 05, 09:20:25
SCC?

Sorry, but I don't know. What means, please?

btw, I noticed some other issues with the inventory system. Two or more times, I can't place beds or other furnitures exactly against walls when they "arrives" from the inventory, but only in the middle of the room.
Any advice?

19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does cologne affect anything besides turn-ons/off? on: 2006 January 02, 17:52:24
My big wish on the turn on/off system is to have more turn "slots", both for on and off.
This definitively gets us a bigger variety of attractions.

I'm thinking mainly on two different gategories, genetics and social.
For the first one, that are normally out of player's control, mainly:
1. Eyes's color.
2. Height (why damn ALL sims must have the same height?).
3. Skintones.
4. Voice.

For the second ones (on wich the player has control), mainly:
1. Skills.
2. Job/Career (or, money amount, LOL)
3. Hidden skills.

But I think it would be only a dream, pity.

20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does cologne affect anything besides turn-ons/off? on: 2005 December 31, 15:35:42
The turn-on/turn-off system is really only a minor factor in the attraction engine. You might get an extra bolt out of a tweaked turn-ons, but ultimately it's not that big an effect. The selection is also very limited. All of the clothing-type ones can effectively be dismissed as irrelevant, since they're so transient that it can't really be meaningfully used. The accessory-based ones are slightly more usable, but due to rampant misrepresentation of third-party accessories, and sometimes even Maxian ones, this is also slightly dodgy. Some accessories are also removed at various times, making this slightly wobbly, but by and large accessories like hats, glasses, makeups, are pretty constant in normal situations. Hair-color is slightly unstable, as a reliance on this means you'll lose it when your sims become elders (unless you picked gray). As such, the only REALLY reliable ones, the ones you can count on to apply at nearly all times, are "beefy arm", "fat", and "vampire". These three are consistently reliable and are not currently misrepresented by anything available in the game. If you pick these, you are sure to get exactly that.

So what are the most reliable characters? Vampires with beefy arms, and fat vampires.

By my side, I noticed the combination of the zodiac signs is the most relevant thing to increase the chemistry between two sims and the second one is the "beefy arm".

21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Name your top 5 Must Haves.... on: 2005 December 31, 15:25:16
1. The InSimenator v.2.2 Sim Edition. (Absolutely a Must for me. It's the "Cybernetich God for the Sims' World")
2. TJ Visitor controller.
3. Cboy nudist hack (off course, this includes the quaxi no-censor btw).
4. Inge's security system (doors, tokens and so on).
5. Dizzy2's smart lights system.

BUT........

These are the "hacks" I prefere to use.
Meanwhile, ALL JM's, TJ's and Cboy's "fixes" are ABSOLUTELY NEEDED, because without them the game would be unplayable.

So, I'm here to declare the bigger THANK to all You Great Guys/Gals for your excellent work!

and finally....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thanks to all,
I think I would try the Pescado's topic suggestion first, because I don't have backups for previous state.

Merry Xmas

23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Cemeterary Question on: 2005 December 21, 16:18:25
Hi All and BTW Merry Xmas to all!

Some month ago, before installing Nightlife, I had many sims dead by natural age and some by selfkilling.
Due the fact I don't like ghosts into my lots, I always deleted their gravestones.

Now, with NL, I have the opportunity to place these gravestones into a community "cemetary" lot.

My question is: There is a way to "reload" the old dead sims to have their gravestones into the new lot?

I tried some ways, as via resurrect-o-nomitron or with the Insimenator's summoner, but no luck.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Be careful with that baby! on: 2005 December 10, 17:33:07
IB, I noticed similar thing only when the 8 sim's limit into a lot was reached.
Maybe is your case?
25  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2005 December 07, 16:04:44
Not sure because I haven't noticed (Anyway I remember to not have seen any "cartoon" with flames, ...maybe...).

BTW, why do you think it's important?
