76  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 19, 02:20:39
Here's some screenshots with the two pay hairs from CAS with an EAxis sim (an adoptable child one who grew into a teen recently). Please pardon the darkness as these were shot with the in-game camera; I really need to download a screen-grabbing program (because screen-grabbing with shitty Windows is even darker).

There don't seem to be any noticeable problems (other than hair that's so stiff, almost like it's seen a full can of Aquanet), and it doesn't look so terrible on a regular looking sim and not Peggy's models.

And without the hairband:

Well, so far, Peggy's hairs are making the mod compatibility checker put out by the Indie Stone people violently upchuck.

Yeah, Delphy, I had a pretty good hunch that someone else had already figured it out for her because she's not that clever (which is why I put "someone"); I just had no idea who came up with the know-how.
79  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 19, 00:57:26
Thanks kindly.  Will be booting up the game here shortly, and I'll report back with pictures and whatnot.
80  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Who wants to a beta tester? Peggy releases first non replacing mesh on: 2009 July 19, 00:39:34
I guess we should be slightly thankful that someone (even if it was Peggy) figured out custom hairs, and now I'll stick to hoping like hell that Nouk is going to make custom hairs for Sims 3.
81  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 19, 00:34:38
I am well aware that Peggyland is a mighty screwed up place where Peggy never fixes her shit, yes.  Still, considering that she finally figured out how to make them, uh, as properly as a Peggy hair gets (this is not including horrendous gaps and other fuckwittery, obviously), lazy ass couldn't spare a few minutes to fix the first hair?

I know, I know -- shouldn't ask stupid questions when we already know the answer, and I know I'm not the only one who would like to knock some sense into her sparkly head.
82  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 18, 23:39:48
I am confused.  She made new hairs that don't replace anything, but the first one she made STILL replaces the female mohawk??  The mind, it fucking boggles.
83  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: S3PE on: 2009 July 11, 05:01:07
What are people using to make core/script mods now? I don't think I have the right tools. I can export things from a package with S3PE, but it exports a file ending in .s3sa.

Not sure if this will help, but there's a new handy-dandy tutorial for basic core modding over at MTS now:  http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=354419.  Tells you what programs are useful.
84  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Tutorial: Basic Core Modding (for complete and total nincompoops like me) on: 2009 July 11, 03:59:03
I saw this over at MTS, and I wanted to thank you because I've become interested in how core mods work and how they are made.  I've only ever made small mods, so your tutorial will come in handy for the bigger stuff I'd like to do.
85  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 July 05, 21:44:32
Be very careful, or you'll bring Carrigon in here to rant about this!
86  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installing "anything" has gotten weird on: 2009 June 28, 22:13:08
Yep, I've gotten the same thing since the patch installed.  I occasionally got it before the patch, as well.  My advice is to use a third-party program to install with, such as Jfade's 3Viewer or Delphy's Sims3Pack Multi Installer.  Installing via the EADM/Launcher is fucking borked in many ways, and it is highly recommended that you do not use it.
87  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Where can I find a No-CD Crack? on: 2009 June 28, 05:13:18
What, GameCopyWorld doesn't have one?
88  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Donwload not included, so not for Pudding Factory: New Hair CC by Peggy on: 2009 June 27, 03:30:10
Yeah, a Sim(Hair)Guru already stated that over at the crap board (kind of expected this sort of issue anyway because I was reminded of the Sims 2 issue with the first "long dress-like shirts" that were made which were crashing the game when you used the phone).  There was also this:

"First off, this appears to be a Sims 2 asset that was converted to Sims 3. Due to performance reasons we're restricted to a certain amount of Vertices per hair, this hair mod exceeds that number. So for lower end computers, it can lead to slow down and cause instability like crashes and game freezing."
89  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 27, 03:10:59
Yes, I know.  It's a fucking shame.

Edit:  Well, done uninstalling and reinstalling, and it installed this time (of course).  Yeah, Pescado, I know I should have done that in the first place when it kept failing, so that's my own epic failure.  I guess what annoys me the most is that I still am puzzled as to why it was failing on the Launcher in the first place.  No one else seemed to have that problem.  I don't use the silly thing, but apparently it had become corrupted in some way?  Jesus fuck.
90  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 27, 02:34:54
Here's the entire "..\Game\Bin" folder, pulled straight off my CD, in two parts. Contains Sims3GDF.dll and Shaders_Win32.precomp. Decided to .rar the whole thing in case we get anymore problem files.

Part One: http://www.box.net/shared/ykuf4fkhl7
Part Deux: http://www.box.net/shared/u5zofkx1k9

Thanks.  Mine is STILL hanging the install at the stupid executable for the shitty Launcher.  Why in the hell would it throw all sorts of fits with that bloody thing?

EDIT:  Nevermind.  Can't fix my problem.  I guess I'll never be able to install this fucking thing unless I want to spend the rest of the night uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game.
91  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 26, 05:58:48
Mine's crashing on the fucking Launcher for some reason.  I haven't tried the HelpPages because 1. that's not where the installer is failing, and 2. I have the non-arred (bought in a store) version.
92  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 26, 05:07:29
Fuck, I've taken out various mods and still can't get the bastard to move past 81%.  Considering that I've heard that it gives you more crashes, new bugs, a longer loading time, and possibly AIDS, I think I'll do like I did for Sims 2 and just rely on Pescado's fixes.
93  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 25, 23:40:07
OK, it's been noted elsewhere that having the original version of the No Censor Mod (not Rick's) was causing the patch install to fail at 77%.  So I replaced that one with my backup, and downloaded Rick's mod.  Got to 81% this time, and it failed.  Would Delphy's slider (I only have the Body Slider Hack) cause any issues?  Or the No Intro Mod?  I know it's not Awesomemod because others are able to install the patch with it in.
94  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Hair CC on: 2009 June 25, 18:12:45
Hm, if it could be used without replacing the mohawk (which I like), then I might try it out.
95  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: I would like a Smoking Mod - Can it be done? on: 2009 June 25, 00:11:57
If I ever support them into the game, I'm going to refer to them as Death Sticks. Like the caffeine buzz crash, your sim will then get a negative moodlet of "Could use a Death Stick". To prevent the negative moodlet, you must then give your sim another death stick, and thus the cycle of addiction continues.

I would seriously consider a sacrifice, chanting, and the whole nine yards if this could be implemented.

As for that period mod, I admit to having it when I still played Sims 2.  Why?  I love to torture my sims.  I mean, I torture them because I love them.  Or is it that I love them because I torture them?  Eh, que sera, sera.
96  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: first close to desktop bug on: 2009 June 20, 23:54:50
This is just a wild guess, but are you trying to say that you think you downloaded a borked recolored pattern from the Exchange?  Hell, is that even possible?  Borked mod, I can understand, but a recolor of a pattern?
97  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Playing The Horror with a dual core processor on: 2009 June 18, 18:01:53
I would imagine that part of your lag has to do with that graphics card, too.  It's not that spectacular of a gaming card (even though it's labeled by Nvidia as one) as it's rather low-end now.  As a friend once put it, "Never buy a card with LE or SE anywhere in the name.  LE = lags on everything, and SE = sucks at everything."

What resolution are you playing in and what are your graphic settings in the game?
98  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Anisotropic Filtering: Turning it on on: 2009 June 18, 01:23:35
The biggest difference is the ground.  That's about all anisotropic filtering does for you in the game -- the ground looks more detailed and less blurry.  Whoopee.  And as with all things Sims-related, if you don't have that great of a system to handle it, upping your settings just slows down your game until your mouse is dragging ass across the screen.
99  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 June 18, 01:19:23
Obviously, the ringing is coming from his ass.  He must do tons of flexing to keep things there.

Poor Poppy.  She never sleeps well, always tossing and turning.  I think she might be one of the most normal-looking children in my town.
100  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Corrupted hood - can it be fixed? on: 2009 June 17, 22:06:57
God, Riverview is one borked piece of shit.  Downloaded the bastard, tried to play it, watched it CTD continuously, noticed that it was nowhere to be found on the main screen after a few CTDs, but the (BLARGH POS) Launcher insisted that it was installed...how wonderfully made of fail.
