27  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Technical problems with THE HORROR: downloading, installing, and running it on: 2009 May 23, 16:32:01
hiii - i downloaded reloaded and i was confused at step to step - its said Unrar - means all files? then burned to cd but not yet installed

The easiest way to install it is to use power iso. Daemon just would not work with the file for me. It would mount it but there was no image shown or accessiblity to the info.

Sims 3 bites. It looks like it was meant to be Sims 2 and Sims 2 was meant to be 3. It is way too easy. It has good stuff but they compromised on quality  way too much.

Im definitely going with windowsxp and I plan on 3 gbs of memory.  Im still in the planning stage of this . It will probably be bought piece by piece. Im trying to google fu some advice on computer building.  Why the hell are some of those cases so damn much? I thought they were just shells.
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I need computer expert help here. on: 2009 January 04, 00:40:30
The DVD player and or writers are confusing me. I want it to be able to play and copy to discs. Ill go look up the specific pages. Im trying to go as reasonable as possible and match up the right parts.  Motherboard link:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010200280%204027&name=%2475%20-%20%24100
cd burners and players. http://www.newegg.com/Store/Category.aspx?Category=10&name=CD-DVD-Burners-Media   Ive been tinkering with my own tower for awhile and now I feel reasonably sure I can put this together if I can get some information on what I need and what goes with what. If someone could list the  items I need, I would greatly appreciate it. I know I must be missing something. Im trying to avoid buying items that won't work together or don't have enough or too much power for the other. I really want to see if this is cheaper to put together on my own. It feels like a real challenge and something fun and rewarding to do.

I realize I still need a case. On that I figure I can go to ebay and bid.  I realize this is subject to sporking but I know a few of you don't mind discussing hardware and such.

It doesn't break it immediately it happens over time. But its your computer gamble at your own risk.
40  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: just got the game now wondering about a few things.. on: 2008 November 16, 04:08:03
Ugh.. I used to think SuckUrom of better FuckUrom didn't hurt anything. WRONG!  It broke my cd/dvd drive. Go to the podium and there is a stickie on how to get rid of the parasite. Get the no cd needed exe and use that afterward or everytime you insert the cd it will come back.  Go google the fuckurom controversy and decide if its worth borking up your drive.
41  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: General Questions on: 2008 November 12, 03:25:33
So
slogging around the Galaxy doing the same old missions and trading/blowing things up
against an online timer makes the game less dull?

Hey, if you're willing to have your DVD drive raped, and your HD bitch-slapped for the shiny sparklies, have at it.

NOt if you use the no cd crack your drive will be fine and you can enjoy the shinies.
42  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Spice Prices on: 2008 November 12, 03:23:23
Well thats true early on its pretty useless but once youve pretty much gotten the badges you can pretty much do whatever you want to do.  Im cleaning up all the red areas and applying Notovny's law...relating to those who attack my empire don't deserve one anymore.
43  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Spice Prices on: 2008 November 11, 17:40:22
Who says Traders don't have to fight? pfffft.. plenty of fighting.
44  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: just got the game now wondering about a few things.. on: 2008 November 09, 04:43:21
Yes you can install that game you just bought and get rid of sucUrom and still access the online features.  Install it, toss out the sucurom and then get the no cd crack. It only checks for the valid registration code which you have since you bought it.
45  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: 2nd patch released on: 2008 November 02, 02:04:46
That could be. Where did you find the loaded one, if I may ask?
46  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: 2nd patch released on: 2008 November 01, 16:12:51
I put the original exe back in but it still says I need to have the game installed.
47  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: 2nd patch released on: 2008 November 01, 06:37:16
hmm. I dont think I have loder's. Put BACK the original one first?
48  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: 2nd patch released on: 2008 October 31, 02:08:03
Has anyone been able to get the arred version of the second patch installed? I tried and it said I didnt have the game installed. Wtf?
49  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: 2nd patch released on: 2008 October 17, 19:24:51
Beware the first patch CAN bugger up your game... I dont know about the second one. It gave me invisible critters and lag times for sound and animation. OH  and inevitable crashes.
