51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I want bigger breasts.... For my sims. Perv. on: 2007 April 03, 18:00:17
I would love to have boobies like a sim's.
52  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Environment preference of the sims on: 2007 April 03, 17:55:44
No! Not the floors! They do affect the environment, the cost does! Leave the floors, only use decorating mode to change the sheets, that shows "color preference".
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Environment preference of the sims on: 2007 April 03, 17:37:12
Sara, the lights are most important object for increasing the environment. You have to understand, that I added tons of redundant objects, while I could do it with only few ones.
That is exactly why the difference in the ammount of lights could throw your "study" off. In other words, do not post a room with less lights and compare it to a room with more lights saying that it was the color of the sheets boosting the environment score.
And rugs add to the score as well, don't ADD anything! Try her in the bathroom and only change the color of the toilets. Not the floors, the cost of the floor will affect things.
54  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Environment preference of the sims on: 2007 April 03, 17:07:14
Try this gali. In the same room in the last picture, take a look at the environment score, then use just the decorator tool to change the colors of things. Do not let your sim move. Maybe turn freewill off. Keep the lights and decorations the same objects, just change the color. Nothing else. Do not add lights. Nothing. No object changes. Your sim's position to the lights and objects do not change. Then look at the environment score again. Then I will believe you.
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: GAH! stop creating wolves! on: 2007 April 03, 14:04:11
I want a wolf problem! WTF, I downloaded the wolf attraction sign, have five trees on the lot, the neighborhood is sparse, there are a bunch of trees in the neighborhood view and still no freakin' wolf. Not fair. I cry foul. I saw them in Pleasantview a lot before I installed Seasons. Now Veronaville is wolfless. Odd, since Pleasantview is a lot more habbited. Especially since Veronaville was recently devastated by a plague of mighty smiting.
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Add Freshness Mod?? on: 2007 April 02, 18:42:42
There is noeatcrap. It's getting so annoying I might actually use that. Then again, not having the hack makes excersize important, more realistic. Listen to me all contradicting my own opinions. Next you know, my head will start spinning and I'll breakdance while quoting Pulp Fiction.
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Add Freshness Mod?? on: 2007 April 02, 14:41:25
You should have my game, then you wouldn't need a mod. All of my fridges have freshness, even ones where sims have never touched fresh produce, much less stocked it. Only time I see no freshness is at a Uni campus.

Edit ~ I find it VERY annoying, I like my sims to be able to eat nice things like salmon. I feel bad for them when they have to live off of mac and cheese because of some stupid bug. Hey, is there a REMOVE freshness mod? It would be cool if the only food that got a bonus was salads....
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / To the other person with missing textures on clothes on: 2007 April 02, 14:38:25
I have searched and I can't find the thread.... I read a thread where someone had missing textures on their sim's clothes (thus this thread's title...) and I had the same problem. Even with Maxian families wearing default clothes. It only happened occasionally though. Like when I'd been playing a long long time. So I figured it was RAM, recalled hearing something about a memory leak, and saved frequently so if the issue came and bothered me I could exit and reboot the computer. I also had an issue where when visiting another lot the load screen didn't have the icons on the background, just showed the car for a min or two.
When I read that thread I thought, hey, I'll try reinstalling and setting the whole folder to read only (before I just had objects packages read only).
Didn't work. It was memory. Apparently a gig of Ram and 256 on my vid card isn't enough. What is a memory leak anyway? The concept doesn't make sense to me, something that keeps RAM from refreshing?
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Possible to really flatten uneven lots? on: 2007 March 30, 20:32:15
It's the sidewalk... it starts off even. Place it in a temp neighborhood and take off a square of sidewalk, then level the terrain edges. I hope the foundation isn't all the way to one square from the edge...
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The scarecrow on: 2007 March 29, 16:41:23
They kind of wiggle some. I think that's if a sim touches or looks at it or something. The Halloween objects depress me, you can't throw a proper costume party or have kids trick or treat. Just some boring decorations. There should at least be a smashable pumpkin.
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NOTE: I am too stupid to spell "Irony" correctly. Please help with wolf prob on: 2007 March 29, 14:34:12
I was about to write something tongue in cheek but in the process I defeated myself. Don't ask. Anyway, you earn the elixir rather than just having it. If there was a wolf summoner that you earned, that I would do. Money doesn't count, it's too easy.

Actually, you do earn the wolf summoner -- it's an ASP reward object, not a buyable object. Same with the no-wolf sign.
Really? Say, thanks for the tip!!!! I'm glad no one mentioned this four posts above this one so you could be the first to tell me!!! Wink
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The scarecrow on: 2007 March 29, 14:31:35
I had it and never used it too! Again with the perfect weather, a snowman looks silly on grass.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: userStartup.cheat on: 2007 March 29, 14:29:18
I moved the bugjar cheat to the bottom, and all cheats worked fine. The bugjar cheat did not work as startup (even bugJarTimeDecay off, which is the way I wrote it the first time, as shown in the attatched file, silly CTNutmegger!) However, I put it in as an alias and it worked even after loading the game a second time. So the cheat is saved somehow when you save the game. Well, at least it was for the jar on the lot.... I had one firefly jar, entered the cheat, saved, exited, reloaded the game, reloaded the lot, did not reenter the cheat, waited two sim days and the bugs were still going. Then my sim caught some butterflies and they died. So either it needs to be reentered each time you get a jar or it doesn't work for butterflies.
Come to think of it, isn't the anti aging cheat saved with the lot? It's been a looooong time since I entered that one (like, the first week I got the game) and I think I only entered it once and never again, had to turn it off when I decided to see aging.

You can sit on this bunny's face.
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NOTE: I am too stupid to spell "Irony" correctly. Please help with wolf prob on: 2007 March 27, 20:58:22
AweSIM! Er, uh, sorry for the pun.

Ok, I haven't used any non awesome hacks since about two months into the game. No known conflicts?

edit ~ Oh, the "dj" is jfade, ok. I'm sure there is some experience there with MATY hacks then.
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: userStartup.cheat on: 2007 March 27, 20:44:47
I know I had the 45% angle cheat working as a startup cheat in the past, as well as the shaders cheat. Those are both boolprop and I didn't use them as aliases.
Unless something changed the angle cheat in Pets. It worked in OFB, I think. I know it worked before that.
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NOTE: I am too stupid to spell "Irony" correctly. Please help with wolf prob on: 2007 March 27, 20:41:25
Fixed.

And from the wolfwatchers RTFM:
Quote
Wolf fears no longer satisfied unless sim actually witnesses appearance of wolf.
Wolves much less likely to appear in densely populated areas (areas with high
community lot and residential density), like downtown.
*snort* now the people in my classroom are wondering while I'm holding in laughter during a lecture....
Yeah, I read that part. But this is in Veronaville, and all but the Summerdream family has suffered during an unfortunate neighborhood wide storm. It was strange, really. Every single sim was struck by lightning until quite dead, with the exception of Hermia and Juliette... I also added extra trees to the 'hood.
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NOTE: I am too stupid to spell "Irony" correctly. Please help with wolf problem. on: 2007 March 27, 20:01:55
Man, I've done that so many times. I should know better by now!

I thought playing with moveobects on in live mode could cause errors...
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NOTE: I am too stupid to spell "Irony" correctly. Please help with wolf problem. on: 2007 March 27, 17:03:45
But that would be cheating. I must wait and wait and drink elixer until his grandchildren have grown old and died just like the game intended. I just wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally have something that was preventing the wolf completely.
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: userStartup.cheat on: 2007 March 27, 16:52:46
I guess the mind really is the first thing to go.
Not for me. Mine was the butt.
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons & lot corruption on: 2007 March 27, 16:50:29
If you are seriously computer savy, don't get offended. Have you cleaned up your startup programs and processes? I know cleaning up the startup programs is reccomended a lot, but processes is often not mentioned. Using the run dialog box (on your start menu) enter msconfig. On the startup tab, choose to hide all Microsoft programs. Then uncheck everything. Your video card does require one startup program, but when you reboot the drivers will put the right file back in this list for you. I know, I had that card. Now look at the processes list. I can't pull it up here (public computer) so I don't remember if that has one to hide Microsoft processes...
Now. Manually read each entry and compare it to one on this list or this list. Find the entry and bring up the definition and necessity of the process and decide if you need it or not. Then clean them all up by hand.
Just kidding. There are tools to help. Try this one.
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: userStartup.cheat on: 2007 March 27, 16:00:47
Well. And that cheat is right at the top of my file too! Thanks!

Why is it that when I'm playing Pleasantview, where I don't want any werewolves, the lotp is all over the place. Then I play Veronaville (which I want to have werewolves and plant sims) and I can't find a single one? Iorny, the fact that I installed Seasons (I suspect that installing Pets resets the moon to full or almost full), or a hack? I didn't see a hack that advertised less wolves, I have wolfwatchers but I thought that just fixed the want to where they had to see the wolf...
Can't seem to get a plantsim there either. Grr.
