I don't want to disappoint you, Emma, so I guess I'll be starting over on my Octomom family.  You should have enough money to support your fourteen Gooplets if I don't waste any on actually constructing a home.  I have a nice chain link fence to keep them safely contained.

Well, you're off to a great start.  Here you are gazing in dreamy admiration as Goopy saves his daughter after Grandma catches fire.

Crap!  How could I have forgotten Torture Emma Day was coming up when I started my Octomom family!

Six fingers is a feature.  TS3 supports inbreeding for realistic yokels and cultists.   Cheesy

Maybe it's a really sophisticated object and this is one of its 33 stages of melting, each with a different mesh.

The girl looks like she's contemplating whether or not to stab the guy multiple times in the face with her skewer.

Take all the time you want, EA.  I'm still waffling on whether to buy Uni or not.  Of course by now it probably comes with Securom.  I shall continue to waffle.

I guess I'm not the target customer.

When strategy is not required, you can just place a heavy object on the enter key, and your presence is not required either.

I couldn't find any mouse patches but the graphics are supposedly improved and the characters can supposedly have hands now instead of cubes.  (I couldn't get the hands patch to work and I don't remember the old graphics well enough to compare.)  But it wouldn't run at all until I downloaded patches to make the movies play.  Stuff like the motorcycle chase goes by at about 4X the speed it's supposed to.  (Thanks Vista.)

Since you can assign keys to the various commands, maybe a clever person could map them onto a mouse?  Then there is the "joystick" option.  A "joystick" is a primitive tool that apparently people in the olden days used to whittle out of wood.

Speaking of old stuff that's still good, yesterday I dug out my old copy of Final Fantasy VII (on four CDs) and, with a million patches, got it up and running on Vista.  Ha ha, Sephiroth, you may have beaten me twelve years ago, but now it's time for a rematch!

Good, I'm reassured to hear that this bizarre situation is fairly normal.  The next day I noticed that different sims in my family had the blue overlay relationship boost thing for the various people who had called for outings, so the caller was intending to call a specific sim but then invited whoever the hell answered the phone, and then gave the relationship boost to the person they hadn't even spoken with.  I guess.

The next day this child called for an outing:

Then he immediately turned himself down, perhaps because of the time.  However, I've had children ask an adult on an outing, stay with him until late in the night, and the next day come around to deliver a Mr. Bearlybutts chair.   It was wealthy children and a poor adult, and I couldn't shake the feeling that they were using him for some disgusting perversity.

Also, similar to what Mr. Pescado mentioned, I have had toddlers crawling around the Crypt-o-night Club.
I'll just go back to refusing outings, and thus avoid the Underaged Predators of the Night.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Outings baffle me on: 2008 November 15, 20:03:35
Sim A calls my sim inviting him on an outing.  Sure.  While I'm pondering whether I'm supposed to call the taxi or if it will come automatically, Sim B calls, inviting my sim on an outing.  Is this the same outing?  Am I screwing something up by saying yes?  Suddenly the outing fun meter pops up.  How is it an outing if I don't go out?  Within ten seconds it goes from so-so to red frowny face and Sim C, who was already visiting on the lot, tells me he's glad that's over, now he's free to have fun with someone who is actually fun.  I was still trying to figure out if I need to call the taxi.   Undecided

Immediately the phone rings again with an outing request from Sim D.  Sure, why not.  Now the taxi pulls up, so my befuddled sim gets in.  I pick the downtown destination and he gets out of the taxi with Sim D or maybe E.  I can't even remember.  Sim D/E almost immediately tells me the date is over, maybe we'll do it again some time.  Is "date" another word for "outing"?  Because no one asked anyone on a date.  I guess he left because it was after 9 pm and he is a teen?  Then why did he invite me in the first place?  Or did he?  I know I didn't invite him.   Huh

Is this normal?
14  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Problem fishing in one pond on: 2008 November 01, 13:53:37
I've been tweaking my failpond.  Now it's plainly shallow enough to place the waterlilies (as you said, without the overhead view), and there are plenty of places to stand and fish, since the visitors did autonomously and I was able to tell my sims to join them.  Yet I can't click on any spot in the pond.  Are there any other suggestions I can try?
15  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Problem fishing in one pond on: 2008 October 29, 20:55:32
This isn't big enough?  I know I have many functioning ponds that are smaller.
16  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Problem fishing in one pond on: 2008 October 29, 18:20:04
I have one lot with a pond where I can't tell my sims to fish and they never autonomously fish.  However, visitors fish autonomously and then I can get my sims to fish with the "join" interaction.  All my fishponds on other lots don't have this issue.   Huh

Okay, I was probably toggling it back off when I messed with it, thinking it wasn't working.  Thank you mighty bat who dwelleth within the box.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim won't become permaplat on: 2008 October 05, 15:22:20
Am I supposed to click on "toggle ltw bit"? Because nothing seems to happen when I do that.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Sim won't become permaplat on: 2008 October 05, 14:15:35
Hi.  I've never had a permaplat sim before because of play style, so I may be overlooking something obvious.  My elder's lifetime want is to have 6 grandchildren.  He's already had at least 12.  I haven't counted them all, but he has memories of meeting 12.  I have base game, nightlife, pets, ofb, and seasons and use hacks from here and Twojeffs.  Any advice?
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Date gifts on: 2008 July 15, 23:26:45
I had a child invite an adult man on an outing and afterwards the child dropped off a Mr. Bearlybutts chair.  I thought it was exactly the sort of thing a child would choose as a gift.  It was much appreciated, as it was the only chair on the lot.  (Until a wolf clawed it into oblivion.)  That's the only time I've had a child invite an adult out.  I don't know if it's supposed to happen.

Looks more like lines drawn by the plastic surgeon to show where s/he's going to cut the forehead open and do an emergency eyebrow transplant.

That's perfectly normal.  In fact, as I sit here typing, I am wearing a giant Worf head.  The chin forms a sweat reservoir.   Tongue

Social services pain and in no way related to house make-overs:

I built an orphanage.  Money was tight, and we'd been selling off doors, windows, etc., but finally the adult had to get a job.  He and the seven kids all left in the morning and I saved.  Then the kids came home and were snatched away by social services.  Aaaaaaah!  I replayed from the save and had a kid RACE to the phone to call a nanny.  Over and over.  Of course every time she pulled up in her nannymobile just in time to see the kids taken away.  Part of the pain was, it took the seven kids SO FREAKING LONG to get off the bus that the orphanage man was back from work before the social services lady had packed up all the kids.

In a panic I scoured the net for kids-stay-alone hacks and then all was well.

I'm glad I'm having a boy. I have no idea what I'd do if I had a daughter who suddenly started wanting to wear all these clothes because everyone else was.
