I enabled the floral stencil for the second preset and used a blank stencil for the third, matching the other castle objects. It's acting rather finicky, though. When I picked the second and third presets straight from the catalogue and plopped them down they still showed the flag stencil but when I entered Create-A-Style and selected them there they had the correct stencils. Kind of inconvenient but it'll do until I or someone else figures out how to make it more permanent.
No picture, objects affected are King Launergan's Royal Bunk Bedding and King Launergan's Royal Loft Bedding from Generations, both §1200.
Edit: Ugh, had a Stupid Moment and did the blank stencil in an inefficient way. Redownload to save yourself 80kb. Or don't, it works fine either way.

I've been fiddling around with the new Buy/Build filters and there's an annoying issue with the basegame one. I put some objects back in Mods\Packages and the custom filter works--only shows custom content. The store filter (even for decrapified content) works--only shows store content. But the basegame filter shows base and decrapified store and custom content. I assume it's because all the filter is looking for is an EPFlag value of 0x00 but it's strange that EA wouldn't differentiate it more than that. Even for people with crapified store content it would still show custom objects along with base objects, rather defeating the purpose.

Updated to include stencils for Moroccan sofa, loveseat, coffee table.

nosoupforyou, I'm afraid I don't know what could be wrong. HL said in the comments that it should be working now for people who have the sims3pack installed. Maybe try downloading the non-decrap file again and putting it in a Mods/Override folder instead of Mods/Packages? I had no trouble with the mod myself.

Some people on MTS and the official forums have reported receiving the birthday set. You apparently have to have "I would like to receive info on The Sims/EA products, community news and activities" checked in your My Account > Site Preferences section. The set only started being sent out in August so if your birthday was before that you have to wait until it comes around again.

How it works is that someone with a registered account (A) gives a referral link to another person with a registered account (B) who has never bought SimPoints before. B then buys a point bundle of $10 (to get the Quarterback/Cheerleader set) or $20 (to get the Divalicious set) and the set shows up in both A and B's account histories to download. A also gets a bonus of 100 SimPoints (for the $10 bundle) or 300 SimPoints (for the $20 bundle). Then A has to refer another person who has never bought SimPoints in order to get the other set. It's really quite ridiculous.

Can't reproduce this problem, works fine for me.
I can reproduce this very, very inconsistently. Initial placement always works fine for me, it's grabbing them with the hand tool afterward that's the issue. Sometimes grabbing any of the three racks or the garage door will lock up the game. Sometimes it's only one. Sometimes they all work fine. The only thing that is consistent is that when it freezes, it keeps freezing under the exact same conditions (e.g. only when I try to pick up one specific rack) until I either shuffle things around in my Mods folder or delete the cache files. That seems to reset whichever one (if any) is locking up the game. I haven't had it happen yet in an AM-only test, but adding my mods back in bit by bit until it's the same setup where I previously had a freeze always results in no freeze or a different freeze. Bizarre.

Hi all
I'm trying to minimise the size of my files and I've deleted the THUM parts from my packages files using S3PE, which I read on another site (the site said that even without the THUM parts, the game will automatically create thumnails). My query is, can the same be done with the DBC files in my DBCCACHE folder?
Thank you for your time.
Yes, it can. This actually works out well because with decrapified files, the thumbnails included show up as too large in the catalogue. Deleting them from the DCCache DBCs forces the game to generate normal looking thumbnails instead. The one side effect is that you won't see any thumbnails for the objects if you're browsing them in the launcher. I never do that so it isn't a problem for me.

Oh, how puzzling. I myself have recategorized several of the objects in these sets (which I didn't realize until after uploading, so sorry if things appear in a different place than you're used to!) without issue, so it must have been a method I'm unfamiliar with. At least you figured it out and it works now. jaldeer, I downloaded the CastleInterior.package dated 3/10/10 found here and tried it in my game with the unmodified version of the CastleInterior stencils. They showed up just like they should. Are you sure there's nothing else in your Mods folder that's modifying this set? Try taking out everything but the store package and the stencil override and see if it works then.

Having two overrides modifying one merged package isn't an problem--it's something wacky with the set itself. The instance numbers for several objects are completely different from what they should be, which is why neither override is working. I'm not even sure how this can happen through the regular method people use to extract these packages. Where did you download it originally? I hope it's not the most popular version of the set in package form because it means these objects wouldn't show up in any houses people download with them and this kind of mod wouldn't work and they wouldn't know why.
I would recommend downloading a different Animals_Fullset2.package or extracting your own after running the sims3pack through s3rc. After that the unmodified version of the mod should work. For anyone using store stuff in package form who is missing every object from a given set, instead of some but not others, try using the version of the mod (unmodified/decrapified) you hadn't used before first. If it still doesn't work it's possible the set you downloaded needs to be redownloaded from another source.

This is stumping me. I removed all traces of decrapified content from my game, cleared caches, ran Animals_Fullset2.sims3pack through s3rc, extracted to package, and set up my Mods folder similar to what I described using the unmodified version of the override. The desk and wall light both work fine for me including the added stencils. Can you upload your Animals_Fullset2.package somewhere so I can take a look?
