Well you aren't exactly the best person to answer, are you?
He's the forum owner, the creator of Awesomemod, and has been modding/hacking since you were in diapers. But no, he's definitely not the best person to answer.  Roll Eyes

Shit, you just made me use an emoticon.
102  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is T$R at it again? on: 2010 August 09, 00:15:04
Whether it's TSR this time, or not, I still say they deserve to be hacked.  I just don't have that ability, dang it.
Just because one side is made of a bunch of bully dickwads, that doesn't mean that we need to be the same.
103  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can't save sim from burning home. Anyone up for BBQ? on: 2010 August 05, 04:07:53
That would almost be worth the random fires that come with enabling the firefighter career. Almost. My second incarnation of Abelline (unfortunately defunct as I have a corrupt sim lurking somewhere and I'm sick of trying to find them) featured an antisocial crazy inventor with an adopted daughter, a robot daughter, and at least three of each type of magic gnome.

Most of my houses have 1x2 porches. They are pretty much all you can fit on the tiny lots I prefer, but they do occasionally cause routing issues if too much is going on in the itty front yard when a guest comes over. It's quite likely that the animation simply didn't have room to run.
104  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 August 03, 19:18:35
I find that no matter how good a custom world is, it just doesn't feel the way you want it too.
This is why you make your own. It's a pain in the ass to get the hang of, though.
105  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: CaW for Ambitions? on: 2010 August 03, 19:16:53
Don't hand-feed. It has already been stated that the thread exists.
106  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My sims won't stop staring at eachother, help needed. on: 2010 August 02, 23:32:37
Can anyone say narcasistic?
No, because this is not a word.

I really suspect this is a mod issue, not a lot issue. I suspect your mods are not really fully updated, since you say "as far as I know, yes my mods are fully updated". There is no "as far", there is only knowing. Alternatively, your mods are not compatible with each other.
107  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 July 30, 23:22:16
1. Does the number of beds always have to match the number of sims in the household? For example, if a family consists of a married couple and a kid, will a double bed + a single bed suffice? Or will I need 3 beds total, regardless of the size? Or what if it's just a single parent and one child? Will just a double bed suffice?
It's appropriate sleeping spaces. Married couple + kid, single + double = ok. Single parent + child, double bed = not ok, I believe, because Awesomemod requires a single bed for a 6-12.

2. If I have a household full of "roomies" who are friends (but otherwise unrelated) living on a lot with a crib, will the storydriver move them out into a non-cribbed lot to allow married couples to move in and spawn?
Yes, eventually, unless you make the home ancestral.

3. Do WA tents (in either the packed/unpacked state) count as beds?
Not sure. Don't believe so.

4. Are lot sizes taken into consideration? So if a 1-bedroom 40x40 lot exists in tandem with a 1-bedroom 20x30 lot, will a household with only 1 sim choose the smaller one?
Size, no. Awesomemod only cares if the house has enough available beds and if it is affordable. I have huge (7-8 sim) families living in a 12x16 and a 10x15, yet there is an equally affordable house on the mountain that is on a 20x24. Approximately 15 sim days after building it, no one has seen fit to move in, presumably because the existing occupied houses are adequate.

I'm really curious about how the story driver decides whether or not a family is living in an 'appropriate' home. I'm trying to separate sims of different social standings and isolate them in certain regions on the map (sort of like Apartment Life in TS2), but awesomemod quickly mixes them all up.
You're best off making the homes ancestral.
108  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 July 29, 19:53:42
Yeah...but it would still be considered an incestuous relationship by the game. And society, for that matter, though I suspect Coltraz is trying to simulate Genesis.
109  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How many Sims ar in my neighbourhood? on: 2010 July 27, 00:11:10
Also, sorry for the bad language.
Maybe I should use American English instead next time.

Just focus on fully learning one, please. I'm not sure what you are trying to speak, but it isn't English.
110  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How many Sims ar in my neighbourhood? on: 2010 July 24, 21:09:38
The irony, it burns.

Can you spot the error in your subject "How many Sims ar in my neighbourhood?"  Neither ar nor neighbourhood are real words. Your post was even worse then the subject of your post.  Learn to type and proofread your posts.  If you don't care enough to spend 10 seconds checking over your post, why should we care to help you?
Actually, "neighbourhood" is an alternative spelling, commonly used in nations speaking British English instead of Americanized English. I have a suspicion the OP is British. No idea how I might have gotten that from the username. However, that doesn't excuse failing to use a space in between words or understand basic forum culture. Saying "Hi", even. What's next? Holding hands and singing while we cross the street?
111  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 July 22, 23:28:17
See, and oddly I'm in the fourth generation of a very small 'hood...32 liveable lots, one unbuilt, six more vacant...where I see at least 10 romantic liaisons a day, a marriage every couple/three/four days, and a baby every other day. So AwesomeStory is doing wonderfully for me. My only complaint is that my townie families are a bit too stable. No one ever seems to break up. And honestly, that's probably for the better...I'd have to start loosing the meteors as punishment.

Oh, and for some reason not all sim deaths will leave tombstones at the mausoleum. Not even in debug. Again, probably for the better since my graveyard is only 12x9 and half taken up by the mausoleum and a tiny pond, but there have been a couple graves I wanted but couldn't get.
112  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions and SURPRISE! - CTDs on: 2010 July 19, 05:05:48
though I'm pretty sure it's not bad CC. The game actually didn't work before when I patched it until I realized I still had an old Indie Stone mod package.
Seriously? You're pretty sure it's not bad cc, but you'er the type who left old, outdated Indie Stone in? Do yourself a favor. Take out all cc. See if it runs. Then add back in non-mod cc, see if it runs. Then verify that the mods you have are compatible with the current patch, then see if it runs.

Notice the bolded part? It's kind of important.
113  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Flagrant System Error on: 2010 July 18, 06:33:05
Always check the bug thread first instead of these speshul snowflake problem threads. Problem has been reported. Update your Awesomemod.
114  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Sims 3 patch on: 2010 July 17, 16:58:43
I've read that steps, it hasn't worked for me... I prefer "blunt" but working. This is like my problem with Riverview, It's just that my IQ has a negative value or I'm cursed.
The steps work. If they are not working for you, it is because you are not following them. It isn't our job to hand-hold you or spend hours making up for your stupidity.

I had to uninstall an expansion pack and reinstall due to a changed file with this patch. I managed to do so without coming here to whine about it, nor did I even need to check some guide. It's a rather elementary process.
115  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: no cc shown in game on: 2010 July 15, 23:45:23
Quit spoonfeeding. These issues and solutions have been posted before. If they can't search, they don't get an answer. And since Jeromycraig said it better just a few moments ago:

If you had bothered to search, you would have realized this topic has been DONE TO FUCKING DEATH since patching caused the problem FUCKING EONS AGO, and you perhaps would not have felt the need to post YET ANOTHER GODDAMN THREAD about the GODDAMN STORE CONTENT NOT FUCKING SHOWING UP, like every other SPESHUL FUCKING SNOWFLAKE before you.

Just a thought.

Motoki, I adore you, but you're forgetting where you are.
116  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 July 15, 23:42:47
Can't put a lot in water. Plus, sometimes you get wonky edges.
117  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 July 14, 23:12:45
True, but I think every one after the original went with green-residential, yellow-rural/industrial, blue-commercial. There's one of the Sim City games that I missed, plus the suckitude that was Societies.
Kinda slow on the uptake there, eh? The discussion was that EA made the colors wrong. Residential is green, Commercial is Blue, and it has been that way forever, but ea made Residential blue and Community yellow.

RCI. Residential, Commercial, Industrial. The little meter on all the SimCity games. Those colors are the colors used for the meter and for zoning areas.

I'm not slow on the uptake, your joke will cause confusion to the noobs.  I'm simply doing my part to keep them from crying.
Far be it for me to defend the Shoaty Vole, but there was no joke. It was quite clear that Pescado and Vole were referring to how the RCI was set up in Sim City.

Also, we don't care about noob confusion. If they are too stupid to use the power of Google, then they deserve the poking they get.

You all are going to make me break out the SC4 disks again and find all my old mods.
118  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 July 11, 23:10:01
Shoaty Vole is the new RainbowTigress.
119  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The new Sim 3 non-borked Create-A-World tool DIRECT LINK on: 2010 July 11, 19:38:39
Yes I messed with the file a while back, but I only changed a few things in VisitRabbitHole and possibly Venues.  Anyway, my changes were somehow undone by the game and returned to their original state, so I don't see how it could be messing up the patch, and I don't know exactly what part of the file is wrong either.  This is not good.
This is why you always backup an original copy of the file you edited. The patcher is dumb as fuck and picky as fuck. It won't complete if you delete premade library families, even though as far as I can tell no patch has actually edited any of these files.
120  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: A question on Skills on: 2010 July 06, 03:15:55
Lack of repercussions for slutty sims? Call a meteor using debug commands. It's not as good as TS2's smiting, because often there are side casualties, but it reinforces that ROMANCE SIMS MUST DIE. At least, married ones who sleep with half the town should. Ambitions has given me back a little bit of my old Oversoul justice system, though unfortunately there is no way to safely and fully implement Free Love.
121  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patching v. 1.0.632.00002 on: 2010 July 04, 02:08:26
Way way way back when I had a similar issue. I found it easier to just uninstall the game and reinstall with the retail version torrent.
122  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 03, 19:04:57
Out of curiosity, does it appear OVER anything in front of it? As in, is it always right in front of you when on screen, going through objects, sims, walls, plants, land itself?
Yup. It could only be removed by Nuking.

Isn't it a function of having awesome and not having the Ultimate Career Bundle?
No idea what the Ultimate Career Bundle is, so it's not something I have.
123  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 03, 04:43:28
My level 10 inventor/sculptor just made this monstrosity out of wood. It looks like no wood I've ever seen. Trying to pick it up in buy mode gave a mouse-over title of "Missing Object 1x......."

124  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I get rid of a file I cannot find that, by all means, doesnt exist? on: 2010 June 17, 23:11:48
How does that top stay ON, anyway? It doesn't appear to be strapped to anything and it clearly lacks enough spring tension to simply be held on by elasticity, so how does it stay there? Tape?

The second most common superpower is wearing impossible clothes.
There's this stuff called Hollywood Fashion Tape you can get. It'll hold pretty much anything up, even to tugging. Hurts like hell to take off your skin, though.
125  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Fambly starter - colour challenge. on: 2010 June 16, 23:31:12
Yeah, I like it much better with the more muted tones, Tangie.

The houses I have my playable/sacred sims live in are color coded to them and given whatever design style it seems like the adults would want. The other houses, those I build to wait for townies to move into, are internally in boring creams, whites, and grays. My playables don't visit in townie homes that often, preferring to associate with other playables who have nicely decorated pads. Externals, I pick one premade swatch and then do the other finishes in complementary or contrasting tones.

BTW, you might find this interesting (or not, heh) but I built this house pre-AMB and it is based on a house (on Lexington Ave) that caught my eye; I pass it going to and from work everyday. The front step goes all across the house and has four 2-story columns that hold up a rounded roof off the second story. It's one of those older homes that I always think are very "stately" looking. Still can't do round, but I tried re-doing the front entrance using the new two-story columns and I actually liked this version better. The scale just wasn't right with such a large front porch.

And I don't tend to even build homes for sims I don't plan to play. If I did, I wouldn't spend much time decorating them, either.
I think I know what house you are talking about. Post pics (or PM me pics) when you're done.

I do build for townies because my 'hood is self-created with tiny lots, so finding lots for it would be difficult. I pull a houseplan for 1 out of 4, but usually the number of bedrooms I need and the lot size kinds of determines the build.
