Thank You. I was getting ready to revert back to a week ago backup.

I binned one of the downtown restraunts, the 50's place,  because I wanted to keep the orignal one too.  I placed the orignal back into the downtown hood after binning and a copy into the OfB hood.  I went in to edit my new place and found a chef there.  Will this cause irreparable damage?

Well now I'm trying to get the joints working, theres a tutorial over at MTS2, but it includes far more than I'm needing and is confusing.  I think my biggest problem is I built them in Max instead of the unweldy milkshape.

WOOHOOO got it to work! Proof of concept, it actualy works. Now I need to see if I can do similar for the rest of the small 4" erect size.

http://www.insimadult.net/showthread.php?t=27095&page=2  Textures aren't correct, it's still using the original, so don't worry about that.

Sometime in the future twoJeff's going to need to alter his ACR just a bit more.  IF I can get those two extra modes included, Sims can then go from soft to hard in stages rather than just pop up. (Wish that worked in the real world  Grin )

Updated: Textures are now included, albiet slightly too redish compared to the skintone.
Take a look at these three pics and tell me what you think.

Nice house, the fixed version that is.  Hard time finding a good looking modern style house that's not utterly crazy.

House took a considerable performance hit though.  I think it was all the fences.

Those are kinda neat. I like the duck/geese.
I bet their just decorations and not automated.  Undecided
107  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bodyshop Questions and Problems on: 2007 July 01, 10:21:03
I'm not sure if this is related, but I noticed that if I clone a sim before packaging, it will have all his stuff, while if I package that sim directly by the BS bin it will not.
(I have only Pets, patched, not Seasons).

That did the trick! Finally I can really clean up my downloads.
108  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bodyshop Questions and Problems on: 2007 June 30, 21:25:25
1. Do you use skintone and/or eye color default replacements  in your game?
2. Do you have Pets? (I assume you do)
3. Stupid question here: are you sure that the clothing/makeup/etc. the Sim is using is actually Custom Content and not Maxis made (perhaps from an EP or stuff pack you don't normally use)?

As far as I know, BodyShop doesn't have its own patch.

1.) I've used ChristianLovs skintone selector initially, then when I rebuilt the hood, I packaged each of the sims and built a new sim in a new hood.  It knows what skintone, etc to use, it just doesn't include them.

2.) Yes, and I used the patch, same with Seasons (patch 3)

3.) I know skintone and makeup is custom content.

If I remove my downloads folder and install the sims2pack, it doesn't install the CC, rather it uses the defaults.  Could this remotely be related to a hack?  Although I doubt hacks would cause any problems with Bodyshop.
109  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Bodyshop Questions and Problems on: 2007 June 29, 22:57:10
Does bodyshop have it's own patch, I've got Seasons installed?  When I try to package one of my sims, none of the CC is included in the sims2pack.

I open bodyshop, package sim, select the sim, choose package sim to file, fill in the info and click ok.  It puts the result on the desktop.  However when I check the properties it's only 888KM, and when I open it with Clean Installer it contains only the one entry, and none of the skintones...etc.

What I am doing wrong?  I assume Season's fixed the Pets bodyshop problem. Huh

I'd like to package all my sims up, empty my downloads folder and reinstall only the necessary CC that each Sim uses.
110  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pond Koi on: 2007 June 29, 02:44:45
If you don't have the graphics card to see fish in the pond, why would you assume a third-party mod would be any less graphics-intensive?

Because a third-party mod for fish might not use shaders.
EA's aquarium used to not use shaders for the fish until circa Nightlife. My antique graphics card doesn't know what pixel shaders are, and I just want my fish back.  Cry
Ohhh so it's not just me then.  Here I thought it was a hack conflict I could never resolve.

Well having some minor successes over at insimadult.  I can import it but still borked up, probably I'm missing skeleton structure.  Considering I haven't done much modding in sims, I'm not suprised LOL

I've been doing some modelling of the appendages. I've got sizes ranging from 4" to 10"  with four different states (soft, arroised, hard, stiff) and leaning options.
Wonder where I can post screenshots... definetely not photobucket. LOL

Maybe the InSIM adult site would let you put them up?

Thanks done, hopefully they can help me, I haven't modeled with Sims before.

Are there any tutorials how to export Max files into Sims?

Ah ok I'll uninstall it and wait till I get Seasons.  I think I rememeber reading you did mention the version value was greater than Seasons.

Thanks Pescado
116  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can one hack break another hack? on: 2007 June 05, 02:11:52
Hack conflict detector found nothing pertaining to macro, just on the skintone selector and a marrage name.

Also this just started happening after Celebrations, everything was working ok with Pets.  Isn't Celebrations based off the older Open for Business engine?
117  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Can one hack break another hack? on: 2007 June 05, 00:05:33
With Celebrations & Pets macrotastic is causing sim resets during dancing and a few other actions.  When I remove macrotastic testingcheats doesn't report any errors.  Is it possible another hack is causing macrotatics to fail, but so no signs when macro isn't installed.  Or does macrotastics have problems with Celebrations?

Please also don't use abbreviations like DAC, or at least spell it out once.   Also if your referring to someplace on the net or in another form like the Opps you broke it, point to it (url).  You might understand everything, but not someone new coming looking for answers.

To bad you can't do a pay increase while staying at the same job level.  That way you can stay as a DJ but get better pay.  I suppose you could turn them into seperate careers.

The first thing I thought was, how much RAM do you have?  Wink  I take it you are Alt-Tabbing between the docs and the game?

Are you playing a particular challenge? The idea of playing the Legacy challenge Prosperity style interests me but as I said I have not had the self-discipline to do it.

*off to look for Legacy software*

I'm using two separate computers.  I'm a statistics weirdo so I do Excel things with almost every game I play.

I'm not doing a challenge, though I'm going to do an unoffical Apocalypse challenge in a few game days when the designated victim graduates.  Unofficial meaning I'll follow the rules when I feel like it and ignore them if they become annoying.

You can get the legacy software from http://www.legacyfamilytree.com./DownloadLegacy.asp.  The password is "family" so you can avoid giving them your email (though they've never sent me anything other than the password).  The software lets you add pictures, events, generate family trees and web pages, etc.  It's pretty nice.

Also check out Ages http://www.daubnet.com/english/ages.html

Unfortunately, I haven't found any that support real full tree transversal.  By that I mean seeing how Sim A is related to Sim D by means of their children marrying. (for example, sim A's child marries sim B's first child and Sim B second child marries Sim D's first child)

This is sad.  I really like his all-in-one npc and without his skintone selector, it would be rather hard to do townie makeovers.  Sad
122  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nuking werewolf wants/fears on: 2007 April 28, 21:17:01
I thought I read about that somewheres... Oh well..  Embarrassed

btw will that want eventually get rolled out?  I don't mind the fear of hearing a howl cause I'd rather have that than a fear of a fire. (Chances of hearing werewolf = 0%, chances of fire > 0%) Its the want to hear someone howl that bugs me.
123  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nuking werewolf wants/fears on: 2007 April 28, 01:50:42
Well Squige made a hack to stop "want to become a werewolf"  I did some work, SimPE scripting is foreign to me, but I manage to figure out how he did it and cloned it to also include "nibble/turn someone into werewolf".

The Howl is the problem one, it uses CT - Test - Behavior and thats beyond me how to fix.
124  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Nuking werewolf wants/fears on: 2007 April 26, 21:58:19
This there a way to nuke ALL werewolf wants and fears.  My knowledge sims now seem to have a desire to become werewolves, worse yet they keep Hear Sim X howl at moon, when X is no longer a werewolf.  The last one doesn't seem to remember that it was cured either.  Zombies don't exist in pleasantville, and vampires are kept at bay but these blastest wolves and werewolves UGH.
