Self-aware? MOI? I am not and never will be part of any group with you Jezzer Bitchbot. Never met the Alphatard, to my knowledge. Sounds like an interesting person from her posts. I find this place amusing. Do you really think I would come here otherwise? Other than to yank your chain? If I slipped and used the royal "we", well - spank me! On second thoughts, stay a LONG way away. Columbia, we posted at the same time - thanks for the link to the EA forum.

Apparently I have no control whatsoever. Oh well, no surprise there.... You're using Origin, which voids your warranty. No one is going to feel sorry for you. Since when does Origin void the warranty? Warranty on WHAT exactly? Starler talking rubbidge as usual. Sounds like that virus that was going to - lessee - sour your milk, make your BF go off with the milkman, and cause an avalanche in Hawaii? Columbia, I think you'll find the EA Sims 3 forums are closed for posting. They're only interested in Sims 4 now. Never found much help there, apart from Writin' Reg, who was a hero. Oh and this I know...sometimes it cracks me up that more time is spent with snide remarks, including Starler apparently, than it would take to merely answer a legitimate question! D'oh. This IS MATY! That's why we come here. Most of the time it's very amusing. But Starler's not very good at it.

Thanks Columbia.
I suppose what I really need to know is HOW CAN I TELL if it's working?
ETA OK I can do Showconfig. That works.
From reading around it looks as if the main purpose of the "patches" is to 1) lock us into Origin for starting the game, and 2) to lock us into Origin for buying store points - naturally more expensively than the points available from the Store. Since I never buy Store points, it looked fairly safe.
Mine did update, and yes, willy-nilly, like yours Columbia. I made the decision to carry on playing with this save and hope it's okay. It isn't quitting out - but, really, is there no way to tell? Game crashes frequently but then my game does anyhow. I DO play with CC, but even playing without ANY CC including AM it still crashes, so I'm none the wiser.
Oh and Jezzer, go jump in a pond.

I know it's a while now, but has anyone made a fix for the tea-tables that came with the Brunch at the Old Mill Set? They work fine until Sim wants to DRINK the tea and then jumps out - to a different part of the house? I have the latest ccmerged from Nona and AM and (I think) the latest fixes?

Confirm this: IKEA clerks have all mutated into - something escaped from a circus? They all wear the same outfit (not the hat, that's his own personal touch!) and did not - before last AM.

Kafka penned the fabulous suggestion: "You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet." AM is not designed for STEAM users, if it works at all just be thankful.
Thank you! Do you have any other advice on how I should just be?

Yes they are there. Check the date on the download when you open the file. Latest AM always has the latest date.
Bless doesn't always work for me, and I am rigorous about keeping installed version of AM up to date.
Also, there is a workaround, if you have Master Controller Cheats - use that to add the trait "Chosen" to a Sim in the household. That works too.

yes, big bad Necromancy dude. I KNOW.
Risking his displeasure to ask whether there are any intentions or hopes to implement some of the traits that apparently have no function so far - particularly blindness, TL:DR, Uglybutt, Smackable...

"OH WOE IS ME NO ONE RESPONDED TO MY EVER-SO-SPECIAL REQUEST WITHIN A DAY'S TIME. GUESS I'LL HAVE TO PASSIVE AGGRESSIVELY DOUBLE-POST ABOUT HOW DISAPPOINTED I AM AND SLINK OFF WITH A MISUSED ELLIPSIS. dotdotdot"
The only passive aggression around here is Jezzer. dotdotdot. At least it was a polite poster. Methinks Jezzer is bored.

Oh for pity's sake. http://modthesims.info/d/364038 or search for Delphy's Sims 3 Multi Extractor. No idea why your launcher will not load them. I know I have read about this somewhere before but for the life of me I can't recall what was said and after searching of over an hour using various key words with no success, I am resorting to asking here. I have downloaded a couple cats and a horse from the Exchange (I know, not a good idea) but these really hit my fancy so I decided I must have them. The problem is (surprise surprise) the launcher will not load them. Keeps giving it's same old excuse of needing to be updated. I'd like to bypass it if I can. Is there a tool I can use or a way to get the s3packs to .sim files so I can just add them in?
