Is there a nocd mod out? Or what is this 4-byte edit Pescado's talking about?

I got the same message this morning, but I was able to download it yesterday, so I re-uploaded it here for the time being:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/b83rb2a1mspib66/16000SimpointBundle119Set.Sims3Pack

Thanks! Megaupload's been stupid these last few days, I've encountered that message quite a few times now.

The 16,000 simpoint bundle megaupload link is wonky, I get "The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." Any mirror?

I'm not sure what other people are doing to their games to have to reinstall so much

They're called "expansion packs."

Why do you have to reinstall when installing expansion packs?

I'll be waiting for the original, but this is nice in the mean time.

Which set is Omegastarr referring to by "the third set"? http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15100.msg556108.html#msg556108

There's also apparently new Dr. Pepper content. It doesn't show up until you enter a code, but there have been some pictures and posts about it on the EA Sims 3 forum.
From what I've read, there's two rabbitholes, three shirts, face-paint, a TV and some kind of deco item.

All which have been linked in the Store Downloads thread for a couple of days now, but thanks for the timely timeliness.

When she posted that, nothing had been posted in the store downloads thread Roll Eyes Just look at the time and date.

Wrong.  I downloaded both sets from here the DAY BEFORE she posted.  They were originally posted in the TS3 Store thread over a period of a couple of days before eventually being moved into the Store Downloads thread, which I can only assume changed the post date.  Better luck next time, and also:  please to be cramming your eyeroll emoticon up your ass.

I don't think the moving process changed the time stamps. And I do remember reading her post about Dr. Pepper and checked all 3 stickied threads for them but only T-Mobile stuff were available.

59  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Launcher using lots of memory on: 2010 September 07, 16:45:03
I don't have anything in my Downloads folder besides 6 sims3packs of houses, so I don't think that's the problem. My DCCache folder does have about 1Gb of stuff though, so maybe that's it Undecided I don't really get what you mean by "use the last .dbc to sum" though.
60  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Launcher using lots of memory on: 2010 September 07, 11:06:36
So, anybody else has the same issue? Launcher eating a lot of RAM?
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Launcher using lots of memory on: 2010 September 03, 13:00:40
I do too, I do bypass launcher when I want to play the game. That's not my question by the way Tongue I don't even play the game right away after installing stuff.
62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Launcher using lots of memory on: 2010 September 03, 11:19:53
I've had this problem since a long time ago, but this is really bugging me now. Whenever I run it, Sims3Launcher.exe uses a lot of RAM, sometimes more than 1GB, is that normal? I need to run the launcher to install sims3packs, and while the launcher itself is pretty fast, the other programs will slow down real bad. Any solution?
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 September 03, 10:21:19
Dude, just use jfade's front end if you can't get it to work.

Can you give me the actual name of whatever you're talking about? The only search results for "jfade's front end" don't tell me a thing.

Better yet, someone who has managed to fucking get it to work could just upload it. I have no idea why it's not working.

64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 September 03, 02:19:24
I've now lost track of the author's name, but it's on the site somewhere.
Code:
for /R %%i in (*.sims3pack) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
for /R %%i in (*.package) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
for /R %%i in (*.nhd) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
for /R %%i in (*.sim) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
for /R %%i in (*.dbc) do s3rc.exe -fD "%%i"
@pause

1.   Save this with an text-editor (Start > Run > "notepad" > OK, f.e.) to s3rcBatch.cmd
2.   The file icon has now (depending on your Windows-Version) something like cogwheels.
3.   If you copy this file f.e. in your Save-Folder TOGETHER with the s3rc.exe, and double-click on it, it decrapifies all .sims3pack, .package, .nhd, .sim, .dbc in every subdirectory (i.e. save-game) it can find.

10 minutes later and...it still doesn't work.

It did make one file that didn't work before work, but that's about it.

Dude, just use jfade's front end if you can't get it to work.

You guys are still turning them into package files? Obsolete method is obsolete.
66  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: All Game Sound Shuts Off on: 2010 August 12, 10:36:40
It started happening to me since about a week ago. Weird, since I didn't install any new CC or patch when it started. Like some other people had experienced here, the sound would all gone suddenly after playing for a while and when it comes back, all the sounds will play together, as if there's a lag. Sometimes going to buy/build mode will fix it, or going to CAS with editsim cheat. I haven't tried going to edit town but going back to main menu and reloading the save wouldn't fix it.
67  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 06, 06:21:13
Everything but the top 4, is worthless. (Bunch of Recolors and crap from a German Fan site. Nothing original about it.) #3 isn't needed if you have awesomemod, and the hairs, both of the female ones are in the Fanciful fashion set, which leaves the one male hair. Which is available somewhere in the download thread if you look for it.

If you're referring to jrcaporal's screenshot, you're not entirely right. I'm pretty sure Animals_panda, Animals_wilderness, happyholidays_present aren't from a German fansite.
68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: New Tool for TS3: S3CE on: 2010 July 21, 03:19:20
I should've been more clear, that's not what I meant. All houses I have downloaded always only have one package because I only download no cc houses, what I meant though, the lot names in game are often missing. So when you go in game and look at the houses bin, some of them don't have any name, like  "Das Winzig Haus" or "Hagrid's Hut". Some lots I have extracted retained their in game names but the others are nameless. Hope that makes sense.

That happens to me even when I install lots in sims3packs with the launcher. I don't think the package extractor is doing that.

Ah Undecided Any idea how to fix that? I mean, can we manually edit the file in s3pe to add the lot name? It's getting annoying.
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: New Tool for TS3: S3CE on: 2010 July 21, 02:38:02
I'd consider using this if you add a feature to automatically rename package files like Delphy's. His tool works fine actually, but sometimes extracted houses (I like to extract them and put the resulting package files in Library folder) don't have any lot name. No idea why only some lots are affected though.

It says right in the thread where you download the muti extractor:

http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=364038
Quote from: Delphy
Added back in Clean Names, but with disclaimer - it only works on Sims 3 Packs with one package in them

Basically what that feature does is that if there is only one package file in the sims3pack it will name the extracted package with the same name as the original sims3pack BUT if there are multiple packages inside (furniture, creepy TSR dolls, other random crap the uploader either intended to pack with it or just didn't clean their file) then it can't rename them all the same name so it just leaves the original hashed up name the game gave those packages.

If you want the file to be autorenamed every time with the multi extractor then clean it with Delphy's CUSTARD tool first, yanking out all the extraneous stuff that isn't a lot file, save it, and then extract it, or just don't get lots from people who pack up everything but the kitchen sink with their damned lots.

WCIF functional spiral stairs/ladders/anything that can transport sims to other levels that takes less space? Firefighter poles without the annoying camera focus would be fine too.

I've been looking for storage/treasure chests, like the ones from world adventures but more of a general look. Does anyone happen to know where I can find them?
In case you haven't found it: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=407111

WCIF a right-handed tub/shower combo (shower spout on the right side instead of the left).

Or is this even possible because of the animations?
I'd love this too.

My architectural designer sim who's been awarded an honor from the City Hall still triggers a flagrant error everytime he clicks on the building/about to enter the building. Unlike before though, the game keeps throwing errors until it crashed to desktop (must be like hunderds of them). It was only a handful before.
If you can't be bothered to show me what the error is, I can't be bothered to fix it. Quit wasting my time.
Sorry, it just happened again. Here's the log.

Also, I noticed that the job checklist thing for architectural designer is now broken (no green tick), the whole job feels glitchy too. This didn't happen with the pre-ambitions 1.12 test version yesterday.

My child sims can't seem to sell their cakes to adults. Whenever an adult comes over to the bake stand, the action "help customer" always cancels itself. It works ok if the customers are kids.

No, I've been playing this one household since like forever. Didn't have any problem until today Undecided After getting Ambitions, I made one of the sims get a career in architectural design so I only did his jobs. First I got error 12 after playing for about an hour, when I tried to save, error 12. Then I quit without saving, play the same household again, this time saving the game every 15 minutes, then I went about 2 sim days without saving and when I tried to save again, bam error 12. Any ideas? Yesterday I still can play for about an hour straight without saving without getting any error when I saved (I never really played for more than 2 hours in one sitting)
