277  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: H&M missing child clothing? on: 2007 June 24, 10:02:06
I don't have it in my game either...

what did I do wrong? Huh
278  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: The Compressorizer! Mass DBPF Compressing Program on: 2007 May 24, 04:57:31
ok thanks Cheesy I'll run it through my program files then Smiley
279  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: The Compressorizer! Mass DBPF Compressing Program on: 2007 May 24, 00:36:48
great tool Cheesy can I use it to compress the package files in program files? the ones under TSData? I'm sorta short on space Huh
280  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: SimPE and supernatural creatures on: 2007 May 03, 03:08:18
haha, I have several reason why I do it with SimPE:

1. I was very curious as to what string actually identify certain creatures
2. I'm avoiding any hacks as they messed up my game once that I had to reinstall everything including the base game, I know it was my fault not keeping them up to date but I don't think most hacks worth the hassle of checking the update when an EP comes out
3. I tested all of this with my test sims in a test neighborhood, so if I messed up something I can just delete the whole neighborhood and start over again

ok, I think it's all good now, thanks for all your help Cheesy
281  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: SimPE and supernatural creatures on: 2007 May 02, 13:59:10
hey, I tried change the value of persondata flags of normal sim to werewolf's value and she indeed become a werewolf Smiley BUT she doesn't get the look, she did the transformation every night , she do the limping walking style and she can't change her look on the mirror at night but her looks actually stays the same... Also tried to change a guy to a vampire, and got the same result, he acts like a vampire but without the looks Huh

well, it's still an improvement anyway Grin

EDIT: I GOT IT!!! I don't know how but I get the looks to change by pressing ctrl+shift+c and then esc... (open the cheat box and close it) Grin Grin Grin the looks change to werewolf, I even tried plantsim and he indeed have the looks of a plantsim with only 3 needs... not the leaf cloth though, but I can live with that Cheesy

So I take that we wouldn't be able to change a sim to a servo and alien, would we?
282  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: SimPE and supernatural creatures on: 2007 May 02, 12:21:09
Actually I'm talking about my 2nd question about how to change certain sim to a creature...

But thanks for giving me the answer of my first question Cheesy
283  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: SimPE and supernatural creatures on: 2007 May 02, 10:55:11
I think I found something (mind you this is coming from a noob's mouth lol), the "PersonData Flags 1" value is different from each creature, here's I put the list of the value in hexadecimal and decimal :

werewolf    0x20     32
vampire      0xc       12
zombie       0x1         1
servo         0x0         0
plantsim     0x100   256
alien          0x0          0
normal sim  0x0         0
BUT it also could be not it (which is more likely Smiley) because a normal sim, servo and alien have the same value... I'm very very sorry if it's totally wrong Embarrassed
284  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: SimPE and supernatural creatures on: 2007 May 02, 08:49:10
oh so there's no way to do that in SimPE? or you don't know how? Huh

I just asked there too because ZiggyDoodle told me to do so Wink but not sure if I'll get sufficient answer there... the reason I asked here first because I know people here are way more knowledgeable than the ones in other sites.......

So if you guys don't happen to know the way to do that, ok then, you're all still awesome anyway:D
285  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / SimPE and supernatural creatures on: 2007 May 01, 14:51:50
Sorry if this is a stupid quesion, but I'm a newbie and I have a few question to ask:

1. Is it possible to extract/clone a supernatural creatures (vampires, plantsims, etc) and keep their supernatural flag/tag?
2. Is it possible to make certain sim to a werewolf/plantsim/zombie/any other creatures with SimPE? maybe they have certain flag or something? I know it can be done with inSIM but I want to avoid using it...

thanks
286  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: All the icons from the game. Transparent PNG images. [UPDATED] on: 2007 April 13, 12:42:41
That might be the largest one there is. I'm pretty sure there aren't any logos in any of the other files besides the ui.package.

EDIT: Yes, I just checked, the largest logo is 500x, University is 540x, and there is a splash screen image that's 1280 but has a black background rather than a transparent one.
ok thanks, I've found them Cheesy still have to thank you though Grin if you didn't post about which package file to look I wouldn't be able to find them
287  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The scarecrow on: 2007 April 03, 13:00:50
the scarecrow... I read in this thread that it can 'come alive' and scare your sims so I think it's kinda interesting and decided to try it.

well, I ask my little bro to join me watching what the scarecrow would do, then I make one of my plantsim view it and suddenly the creepy music plays followed by the scarecrow coming alive Cheesy we both jumped off our seat lol... my bro immediately begging me (he's only 11 Wink) to stop the queueing actions of view the scarecrow (I queue about 5-6 actions, all are 'view the scarecrow')

that's the second thing in Seasons that made me jump Tongue the first one is, yeah you guessed it, the thunder Cheesy
288  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Need help decoding XA on: 2007 March 19, 03:46:44
hey I found a solution... Someone at MTS2 told me to get Game Audio Player and it works perfectly Grin way better and faster than xantippe  Cheesy

ok then, thanks to all of you for trying to help me  Wink
289  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Need help decoding XA on: 2007 March 18, 12:50:28
I was thinking that I'll record them if there's no other option... I agree that nobody seems interested in this except me though:D

Actually some of the tracks decoded with xantippe do sounds ok, but most of them sounds bad, especially OFB and Seasons ones..... Tongue

anyway thanks for your help Wink
290  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Need help decoding XA on: 2007 March 18, 09:06:09
I'm trying to get the songs from splash.package, but when I extracted them using SimPE, they're not in mp3 form, but in XA format I believe. Then I tried to decode them using xantippe, but the result is far from good, the songs were ringing and sound distorted.....

so anyone can point me to the right direction on how to decode them properly? I think the game has the decoder somewhere since it can play the music perfectly, is there a way to 'extract' the decoder from the game?

thanks in advance
291  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: All the icons from the game. Transparent PNG images. [UPDATED] on: 2007 March 17, 02:03:47
hi, I wanna say thanks for taking the time to do this. But I'm also looking for the logos, yeah the ones that say "the sims 2 pets etc" which not included in your upload.

Can you put those up for me? or maybe you can just tell me where to find them? I tried the UI package but the largest I find is 500x500 px. Is there any larger ones?

thanks in advance

p.s : I'm very sorry if bumping the thread is not allowed. That image sure is creepy, but I do want to reply..... Huh
