1  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: LTW Enthusiasm Based. on: 2008 April 25, 12:31:50
I appreciate it. I did, however, notice that you did not list artist. Did you make any changes to that? Also, would you consider uploading the reduced LTW's as a stand alone package? I know squinge had one, but it is no longer compatable.
1.Artist - is a Visionary LTW.
2.I don't see any reason to split it to separate packages, for me easier to make one more(even more reduced or expanded) version
of LTW's.But I need to know what exactly must be reduced or expanded.Any suggestions always welcome.

1. My bad...thanks.
2. It was just a thought. As you can see by the post directly above yours, others would also be interested in this. But we'll keep looking. Thanks again.

As I said before, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to computers. How can I tell if it will support a second card? Thanks, guys, for all your help. I really do appreciate it.

Well, I admit it is a little on the expensive side, but it seems like I'm getting a new computer every year or so. Plus I would like to have one that can handle all my downloads and not take an hour for my game to load!

Sorry to keep doing this, but I do not know anything about computers except how to play the sims2! What about this pc?

7  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Can't buy/place objects on: 2006 September 30, 18:57:22
I let the game regenerate a new sims 2 folder and now everything seems to be fine. I still don't know what the problem was, though. Thanks for your replies.
8  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Can't buy/place objects on: 2006 September 30, 01:44:07
I don't know what I've done, but I am having some very weird problems. I can't get anything in buy/build mode. I can click on the objects, but when I move the mouse all it shows is the "hand". It does not show the object. Also, in neighborhood view, when I hover over a house it does not show any information. It only shows the arrow - no family name, lot info, etc. I have removed my downloads folder but that didn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks,

Has anyone bought a conroe yet? I have built one several times but just can't bring myself to push the confirm button until I hear how people with TS2 like it. Thanks.

Banglenuts, I think we were posting at the same time. At the risk of being forever burned, could you possibly help me one more time? (See edit in my last post.) Thanks again.
I have  two Skip Brokes and two Darleen Dreamers in Pleasant view if you take a close look at both these "character files" in  Sim Pe you will notice that one of the files is Skip Broke the dead husband of Brandi Broke, the same with the Darleen Dreamer Files in both these instances one character file has the memories and familial ties to their children and the I am dead token in neighborhood memories. the dummy file is a blank file lacking memories or familial ties.so in effect after resurrecting the real Skip Broke  the other file is a ghost file and needs to be left intact. dont delete ghost files ever they are vital to the game and are miniscule in size so they dont effect the neighborhood  as far as bogging it down. the reason for not Deleting is twofold one its a safe bet maxis intends to use those files at some point in a EP along the way and you dont want future installations putting those same files back in your game a third time which would clog your neighborhood and  the second reason being that as files that are ghost files and pegged that way in game they need to stay intact. hope this makes sense

Once again, thank you for your help.

Thanks for the reply, but nothing is showing up under memories.

Okay, send me to RL. The version of SimPE that I had did not support NL. All better now. Thanks.
I hope my info helped you

You helped me to realize it was me and not something wrong with a program (which is usually the case anyway!). Thank you for your help.
One more question, though. I now have 2 Skip Broke's showing up in SimPE. Is it safe to delete the one I'm not using?

19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Deleting memories for dummies on: 2005 December 10, 16:38:07
Firstly in order to get to the memories you need to start SimPE and if you are using the latest version, select Neighborhood then Neighborhood Browser from the Tools tab.  Next select the required neighbourhood and click open.  Now select Neighborhood/Memory from the Resource Tree on the left hand side then select the file in the Packed Files window.  At the bottom of the screen is the "Experimental Memory Editor" and clicking on a sim will show you their memories.

Now memory deleting is quite simple.  Most corrupted memories actually appear to be death memories.  When you scroll though each individual's memories you will see that they look like this.  When you click on a memory the right side should look like this.

Corrupted memories do not have an "Event Owner" or "Subject".  The exceptions to this are the invisible tokens such as the "I am Dead" token or the "Controller - Pregnancy".  I would start by looking for memories which list unknown died instead of the name of a sim.  Click on the memory then click the delete button in the bottom right hand corner.  After deleting a memory click on "commit" to commit the changes.  Clicking commit is very important!  Finally save the file and quit SimPE.  Just incase something goes wrong always keep a backup of the file.  Pleasantview for example is the N001_Neighborhood.package file found in \My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\N001 Smiley

I followed this, but the only sims that show up are the dead ones. Any advice? Thanks.

I guess I should add that I resurected Skip Broke and I want to delete the memory of his death from Brandi and Dustin, but I can't find either of them. Also, how do I remove the "I am dead" token? Thank you.

I just thought, why the hell have they sent me this?  and the website told you nothing, so if you hadn't ever heard of the game, you would leave the site as ignorant as when you arrived!

Yep, that's me. What the hell was that?

I don't mean to sound like an idiot, but am I going to need this tuner thing? I have a Geforce 6600 PCI Express 256 mb just sitting here. I am afraid to install it with all the hype I've been reading about different cards. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone Seen this yet? on: 2005 September 25, 23:33:53
There is another hack that removes the blur without changing the BHAV. I believe it was made by Quaxi and you can get it at MTS2. I have it and it works fine. I hope this helps to solve at least some of your issues. Good luck.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone Seen this yet? on: 2005 September 25, 17:48:45
Can't be sure, but remove CBOY_nocensor. It was causing many conflicts and he has removed it. Hope this helps.
