Well, I have a kinda workaround for the other items being installed. The sims3pack that the game downloads to you will install items to your dcdb0.dbc file. I have it copied over to a different folder so that when I'm done playing for the time, I just copy it back over and delete the download and the savedsims. That way I'll not get the stupid custom content that people seem to enjoy so much. Seriously, someone had belly rings in a sim they sent to me.

I extracted the files from the sims3pack, and put em into a package. Easy enough to do when you just run s3rc.exe on it then grab those files out of it. Since the items don't contain any counters or sectionals, they work properly as package files.

Is the Ultimate Venue and Stage set a object or a lot?
It has objects and a lot in it as well.
29  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 08, 03:55:16
And with only TS3 registered, I got this. And yes, there was a Sim put in my downloads folder and a saved sim as well. Sim contained custom content so EA needs to fix that shit.

However once they fix the importing and remove the sims being added to your bin and the CC, that'll be good. My test was to prove that I can use SimPort. I did tests with more than 3 people. First time I wasn't sure if it was a glitch or not, since I had a sim appear to perform at a venue, and I wasn't sure if the Sim actually went off the first time. When I replicated it twice with different people, I call that verifying that it works.
If it changes when they release the hotfix, I'll let here know. But as it stands, you do not need to buy two copies of the game for two people in the same house to use SimPort.

I have successfully sent a Sim on tour via Simport.

Now I need to see if I can receive someone via SimPort

I'm going to do further SimPort testing. Stay tuned.

Edit: I'd be easier if I actually had someone else to do focused testing with. Argh.

Of course a SimGuru who is being paid by EA will say you MUST have it registered. It's how they get their paycheque afterall.

Now, mind you I only tested with someone who does have Showtime Registered on my account which is not registered with Showtime, and it was only to one person. I'd want to try to test with someone who just has one game registered that's not showtime and try to do the same thing.
33  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 07, 21:41:42
I sent a request to a friend on my Sims list for them to send a sim over for a performance, then I sent a sim over to their hood for them to do a performance. It worked. Mind you I was logged into the game, since I only have TS3 registered.

Of course SimsVIP lied about the SimPort feature. The only things you need to register for are the incentive items. I have them working without registering them regardless.

Welp, the Katy Perry collectors set has also been done.

File is already decrapped, do not use unless you have a MAC. ~witch
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 07, 19:34:43
Simport works for a game that only has TS3 registered.
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 March 07, 19:30:08
All the male store hair is showing up for me. Even hats.
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 March 07, 18:15:31
Showtime has been properly "released" now. Seems like fairlight grabbed it this time. I'll keep you posted if the store content in Moryrie's files vanishes with it properly installed, but I need to wait for it to finish downloading. No torrents for me, I use usenet.
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 07, 18:14:23
What? Where did you get this info?

I got my info from a Sims 3 producer video for what you can do I guess for a simport feature. However as you said, EA fucked it up. It'll be like that Doll shit all over again.
39  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 07, 03:59:44
Simsport is just having a random sim come to your town to perform a show, or have your sim go to someone elses town and perform. Totally non-interactive. All I suppose you can do is customize the venue.

Once I have Showtime arr'd I'll see if my registered TS3 base game will be able to simport.
40  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 March 07, 03:51:55
Ehhh, it's a bizzare method of installing, but pretty straightforward and works just fine on my end.

I have a question for you, I saw you uploaded some of the pre-order items, are those the items gained from the Katy Perry version? Or are items in there entirely different? The Katy Perry version was not made available in Australia (least where I live it wasn't).

The Katy Perry edition is a seperate sims3pack file. Preorder radio is origin preorder, limited edition (not the same as Katy Perry) is the ultimate venue, and the registration reward is the DJ booth. We're just missing the final piece of the incentives.
41  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 07, 00:52:46
AFAIK from only having the base game registered on TS3, the 'social' aspect of Sims works properly. Not sure about Simport, waiting until I have a proper version of it to test.

Custom Content made since they changed Rigs should work unless they modify things, like scripting mods or tuning mods of things that were changed.
42  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 March 07, 00:42:48
I also keep the archive files in case I want to install it in the future if I uninstall it, and a proper release is the best way of having that occur. Not in a hurry either because Mass Effect 3 was "released".

Origin preorder radio works without Showtime installed. I extracted the files, and the radio shows up, the lot shows up, but it's not placable. The DJ booth probably can't show up because it needs the actual other booths in the game too. Maybe.

The one on PB doesn't work properly. Wait for proper.
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 March 06, 19:59:30
I'm talking about the proper scene release.
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 March 06, 19:51:22
Now all we need are the Katy Perry inspired items then we have all the "perks" that come with The Sims 3 Showtime. It's an additional sims3pack I bet.

Of course we need the actual game too.
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 05, 15:47:30
The only CC I have installed is Twallan's noCD, the nointro, and the store items in .package form, except for the additional neighborhoods which don't work properly with just .package files, and counters. Haven't crashed yet.
47  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 March 04, 02:22:00
Use .packages for all content except counters. You could install the worlds decrapified to avoid getting some major issues with lots not showing up properly and if dupes bother you, too bad, the only way to get it to work properly is to have it installed and have those dupes.

I have not had any issues with the .package files, except if a counter is in the set, which I install so using CAS on them works.
48  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 03, 23:37:03
Well, the game will nag you if you don't log in to log in. Hopefully AwesomeMod will be able to remove the nag screen.
49  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 02, 20:39:23
From what I've done from testing in my non-modded game, you need to be logged into your TS3 account to access the achievements. It's annoying that they are pushing the social aspect SO damn much with TS3 now. If you're logged in, you get a constant status bar type thing where you can update your simwall.

EA, you're not Facebook. You're closer to failbook than anything, and stop trying to get something that you're not. You annoy people enough with Sims Social.

EDIT:
The gym buff is STILL broken. It takes a user like 5 seconds to fix the xml file, but it's been a little under 3 years since it was broken and EA still hasn't fixed their fuckup.
50  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 02, 14:29:20
The chieves add nothing of value to the game except meaningless grinding, like Memories added nothing worthwhile. Probably Simport will be useless, and all the 'unlockables' will be able to be activated via a mod.
