51  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I get rid of a file I cannot find that, by all means, doesnt exist? on: 2010 June 18, 13:50:33
One of my friends was a stripper, she used to use a glue stick, said it was much less painful and equally effective as the tape.

That stuff does not wash out of clothing very well.  I like to use a watersalluable double sided tape, normally used as basting tape for quilters.  It does not hurt my skin and if any residue is left behind on the gown, it will wash out with plain water.

This is sooooo off topic.  We should be ashamed of ourselves.

Just be sure to not get the type of tape that you iron on. It would probably suck.

Riverview doesn't have distinctive DBC files. If you are purging DBCs, you have to purge everything, as they are kitbash files that will resist any single item being filtered out by hand. Like I said: take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

You might need to nuke the moron responsible for the site as well. It might just spawn up somewhere else under a different persona. Heck, nuke the whole genetic line too.

While we are in a purging mood, nuke peggy as well. (I deliberately did NOT capitalize her name...she doesn't merit the honor.)

I used manual .dbc files before trying to decrapify.  But a lot of people, including me, would like them to work when decrapified, too. Smiley

I would too, but this is a work around in the meantime. I only did a manual DBC of those 5 sets. All others were installed through the launcher.

It did affect the new Vainberger set.

I found a work around for it. It seems to work in my game, but I can't verify that it would in others.

I just uninstalled them from the launcher and created my own DBC with those sets. I had to use my original sims3pack files and run them through an older version of s3rc then extract them with jfade's 3viewer.

It took me three days (I also had RL work to do) of trial and error before I hit on the correct work-around.

It probably isn't EA stuff. I have all the EA store stuff, plus all my mods and downloads. I do not use Awesomemod though. I have all the interactions on the fishtank. It is something you have downloaded that is conflicting most likely...perhaps something you forgot to remove? Did you double check the Base Game folders?

Just a note. Try moving your framework into the HELS folder. I was having all kinds of problems with custom objects and objects from HELS until I did that. All my stuff works now.

I have WA and had to take out the ear sliders. they were the only thing I had it and my game was playing all chunky slow and awful. I have 12 GB of ram with Intel Core i7 CPU and vista 64 bit.

Works like a dream after I took out the ear sliders. I'm guessing it is conflicting with some of the new sliders that EA added into CAS.

Seriously...unless it specifically says it is compatible with WA take it out—sliders, hacks, objects, all of it.

Actually you can buy the duck at the grocery store or pull it up from the depths while fishing. It is placeable on the bathtub.

disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt true

then hold the ALT key down when placing the objects...you may want MoveObjects on as well...I use this when placing trees and bolders into ponds. Makes it much more realistic looking.

hmmm...if it is a memory problem then I probably won't have it. I've got 12 GB of ram and I am using the new Intel 8 proc chip. I've got 2 video cards running 4 monitors...sorry just bragging.

I am also running on Vista 64 with absolutely no problems...probably something else.
