I am sure you guys are enjoying finding most of this, but it might be helpful to eyeball carl sims as well. They did find a bunch of the plants and what not already (in list).
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Cannot bypass the launcher; extra folder "Packs" in the Bin folder on: 2013 October 19, 19:05:37
I have all my sims games registered through Origin (easier to download than the steam mess), I am up to date sans the next xpac future shit?

I have no problems playing with either 3booter (put in the root:\programfiles(x86)\origin games\) nor do I have any trouble pulling the TS3SP09.exe out of root\programfiles(x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3 Movie Stuff\Game\Bin folder.

My conclusion from all this is one of two things, either you only downloaded the installers (that defaultly end up in \programfiles\origin but not programfiles\origin games\) or the installation was blocked on some level and you're missing files.

Neither of which I can verify but that is just what I can see from information given. If you only have an origin folder and not an origin games folder you have to open up origin and install each pack/expansion. None of them will install past the base game til you run the base game patcher at least once. It even tells you that when it errors, but it could have been missed if you just left it to download wile you did other things.

therapture will remove everyone but your chosen (worth a shot?) (awesome command)
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 on a 64 bit on: 2011 September 19, 16:30:06
Make sure if you have UAC on .. that you allow the installer admin rights. It should ask but may not be for some reason.
On some setups you have to own the folder you are installing to. This means right clicking c:\games and unchecking say the read only (it often gets default turned on in the specific sort of case I am mentioning)
It will ask you if you want to do this to all folders, agree and move on.

Installing it in Program Files (x86) isn't a huge no no, but it can be a pain. It isn't nearly as painful as it used to be when one would need to alter the folders there for mod installation.
Installing to multiple directories also -shouldn't- be an issue, but it is messy and easy for the links between the files to break. Sims 3 already has so many reasons to reinstall on a hat drop it is safer and less hassle to just give it its own place to be all fubar in.

As for the full install, this might be odd but I had no issues at all installing all the main expansions .. then installing stuff packs after. Do remember you must TELL it to install to a different directory, thus a custom install.

Aye kiptin.

Me and my stupid face will attach that this eve as I am currently not at residence.

For the record no ..the riverview pond did not help.
***
Upon searching my folders I find half the script errors have no info to share, the others are blaming tight pants. I am going to remove the tight pants and see what happens.
Frustrating because I was using minimal (as in just one persons) extra pants.

Thus consider this another sign of my derp.

Flagrant error from Awesome dealing with fishing.

Circumstances

Using the save file (since I loathe renaming things). I have a sim I was letting Supreme Commander do the fishing work on. After training at the supermarket it gave me the error.

I am unable to get a screen grab of it. Win 7 is only giving me the fpslimiter. I did do a quick search to try and find a means of getting the error otherwise, but found nothing.

It isn't a crashing situation just that SC can't find water to fish in for some reason. Perhaps I should go grab riverview's fish farm. (Does just that)
I should note I have no problem manually fishing.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: MUST have mods for The Sims 2? on: 2011 January 19, 20:38:15
I agree that after you put in the director's cut you really don't -need- anything but..

Check Peasantry here as well (the deadlier disease comes to mind , along with links to geneticized skins)

The old all in one npc is available from MTS ,updated to Apartment life.
Squinge has some mods that are updated and look up Ancient Highway for some other random bits.

8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: All Game Sound Shuts Off on: 2010 August 10, 00:47:32
I haven't experienced this sound problem, but I recall some time ago someone posted about sound issues, and identified the culprit as being the duplex/half-duplex drivers usually associated with dial-up modems.  A search should reveal the thread/posts and might help.

It may be nothing, but might be worth investigating as a possible cause.  Most laptops have these modems built-in and some desktop PC's also have them.

Well.. that would be interesting if I had a modem. That would be a correct situation in the case of the modem/soundcard combos of about 2003 and earlier.
I do have a sb24bit live, which in common knowledge is shit. It has as best updated drivers as one can give it for win7. (Thank goodness Creative did make some win 7 drivers) I doubt my motherboard soundcard would do much better as it does not have win7 drivers.

However the removal of bike use OF ADULTS removed the issue. I have no problems with kids running around on bikes.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: All Game Sound Shuts Off on: 2010 August 09, 20:46:02
I just had this happen to me.

Situation as such.. bought 2 bikes, the smooth one(apologies that I cannot remember the whole name). Set preferred on both sims for their particular bike. Sent sim to China.
Sim rode bike in china.

Sim comes home.. Wife takes bike (his!) No sound.
Reboot.
Delete bike , one missing..delete the bike holders. Send Wife off to find other bike. It was not showing in inventory for whatever reason, and the sound died again.
Delete other bike , give a car. No issues.

Silly little eco sim is going to have to live with the darn bad moodlet.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Cannot access official Sims 3 forum... and cloned sims on: 2009 November 18, 20:17:19
I think, but I am not 100percent sure that taking out awesome mod will result in sims reverting to whatever point they can. There are some bits in the awesome that can be just too awesome for the original game.

Thus when you removed it (rightly I add) to update to the new expansion you lost the awesome on your characters causing unusual things to occur. I have no ready solution except you might wish to avoid touching other sims that you care about til such time as Pescado can get Awesome working correctly.

Many long time hack users (Sims 2 time) would use a new neighborhood or new families to fiddle with the newness til such time as hacks were updated. May I gracefully suggest that to you?
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: PLEASE HELP!! SIMS 3 WORLD ADVENTURES.. on: 2009 November 18, 05:22:18
pirate cat downloads are usually multi lingual  thus from a region where there are multiple languages ( in this case 7 which I think was the pacific rim..but that's a guess)

US is 1 , as we know there are at least 7 regions one could try the different sku numbers til they found the region they are associated with.
I also seem to recall that there is a 0 region, just to make life difficult.

If you are trying to put a purchased Expac on the Arr download .. you must change the sku version to 1 if purchased in the US.
If your Sims 3 is sku 1 , make sure you have taken out the no-cd hack and replaced it with the original Exe. If you did not save the original exe let this be a learning experience. Always save the original exe.

If you are installing the ARR download over a purchased Sims 3, you may need to change your Sims 3 sku to 7.

If you have the reloaded original Arr , remember to change the exe and check the sku just in case. There was a period when patches wouldn't load properly and many of us changed sku's to fix it.

If all of that was greek, you probably should not be downloading games. If you think we are rough on the passing public (We referencing Maty) you should check torrent threads where users ask for help.

I will move your stupid face further up on the list of things to beat with a hammer, then.

Please do , The legendary wars were started for less.
However in the interest of my "f" ness.. I did find it a hilarious statement.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: They can autonomously cheat. on: 2009 June 28, 16:40:50
I haven't even begun to explore social launches and acceptance criteria yet. So much to beat with a hammer, so little time.

Pescado you owe me a new monitor, or at least a decent cleaning of this one. I was not ready for this statement today.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 28, 16:31:02
I reinstalled from the saved iso on my lovely harddrive, but thank you those who posted the sku txt file. I smacked the install around , slapped on the patch SANS the tiny patch before game launch and everything is peachy.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 27, 11:10:19
bah.. SKU is right in reg, SKU is right in text, giving me fits on the skuversion.txt file. 97percent then fail. Worldwide version. I suppose I will just reinstall at this point getting someone with a unpatched skuversion.txt is not likely.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things you DO like... on: 2009 June 25, 12:16:47
We all play the game differently right?

I like the wider neighborhood. I hate load screens , and there was no reason to go downtown when it was a limited lot that I could do easier at home.
I like parties at the beach/park. This goes back to my refusal to leave the sim's home lot, but now it isn't an issue.
I like blatant mooching off the public services. This is a fact in cities, though there should be some sort of vagrant moodlet.
I like not having my sim children run through the same routines to make sure they are productive adults.
This one really bugged me in sims2. In order to have a functional household in the future you could not allow the rugrats out of sight. (unless macrotastic'd) The meat of the game became how efficently you could move youngsters through rotation to maximize time. Then you could play them more free form in mid to late adult hood. Sort of ruined the whole flavor for me.
I have kids now that tend to gravitate to various objects randomly (minus the obvious over fun adverted). I had no qualms about picking bookworm for one child as he moved to teen. I couldn't get him away from books as a kid. His brother became a snob, that child only ever made fun of everyone. (He is evil too but that is just adding to it). They seem to have a bit more random personality vs skilling monster blank slates.

I adore the traits system. I thank the Awesome that we have a way to add more.

I think the only thing that is bugging me is the plants dying after so many harvests. Yeah realisticish..but a hassle.
I uninstalled Sims2. There is nothing back there that I am not willing to wait for, or find ways to live without.

Meh years of usenet taught me to have every available version of unraveling of things possible.
-checks system-
Yep I have it, it is buried here somewhere.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Normalised Energy Gain for ALL Beds (base ones so far, anyway...) on: 2009 June 21, 20:55:29
for the record 7zip uses a different compression routine and makes Winrar/Winace/Winzip puke horribly (the last if not updated, i think the current version of Winzip can handle 7zip files), Baa for posting the package.

It just occurred to me that Pets for this version is going to be a VBT. Random spawning wildlife.. run for the hills!
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My alarm isn't working? on: 2009 June 18, 12:02:04
I am reminded of a line in a Forgotten Realms book.. "Don't they know thief traps are sold by thieves anyway?"
Not that this helps you a bit. Honestly I haven't seen one work yet in my game. (The burglar alarm)

Ok I get it. I can be dense at times. I say go for it.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Blank Inventory Slot & Gem Stacking on: 2009 June 18, 11:52:33
Beepers "seem" to allow the sim to go to work for emergencies. I just had a medical sim be called in. I don't know if this would work if she didn't have the beeper on her.
23  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: IMPORTANT DESIGN POLL on: 2009 June 18, 01:51:19
My opinion is such.
If you need to map something to the scrolly wheel , can you do so with an additional key? shift -scroll perhaps? I do use the mouse for most my navigation (lazy ..why yes!). Providing a means to disable said extra usage of scroll mouse is also fine by me. (yay for the config file)

I am wishing it would not permanently change the navigation method use of the scroll, that said ..sure make contextual scrolling menus.

24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Anisotropic Filtering: Turning it on on: 2009 June 17, 19:26:03
Generally ATI's default in overriding game settings, vs Nvidia seeming to allow program defaults at first (if not set up differently)

I wonder.. how many ATI card folks have catalyst AI on , and what the effect is? I default to having it off unless told to turn it on.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 25, 12:04:13
I am curious to see if the male voice 1 grumble stays in the game on launch.

It is distinctly cussing right now. Won't that get some knickers in a twist.
