I can see myself actually using most of the playground equipment in this case. Katty Perrys is just waaay overboard in the garish department. Those chairs would be pretty useable with a different color combo. Some of the hair is workable, at least the mens, I have no idea WTF is up with the doughnut on that one woman. The clothes are just terrible, maybe could be made functional as stage clothes.

I have no ideas other then the usual attempts to try, remove all CC, remove all User files, try again. If that doesn't work it's possible that it's the install. You tried the first part, so you said. So you've tried to open it and just walked away for a while? Tried to set priority higher in task manager? Turn off all unnecessary programs, ect?

I have an all in one Sims 2 that installed. I'll attempt to open body shop and see if I can. Honestly I've never tried, it was never a concern. Have you gone back to where you've gotten it to see if anyone was complaining in the comments?
Have you tried starting from a different Bodyshop.exe? Have you tried removing\renaming, your entire Sims 2 user folder and starting it? Have you tried patching them? It was made with only the patches included that were on the discs, sometimes they released patches later.
As for the package installer, it's crap anyway, use Clean installer instead.
The game wasn't made to install like that and it's a third party collection, it's entirely possible that something was mucked up and you will just have to live without it.
Edit: My Bodyshop opened, whatever that may mean. In all likelihood something has gone wrong with your install, or there is some CC that you have that is the issue.

Does anyone know whether anyone has uploaded Lucky Palms as a .world file? The LP as a sims3pack which installs as an object file does not work in my game and current file set-up. I had to use the Lunar Lakes file as a .world file as well.
Just find the Largest file in DCBackup, provided you clear it out regularly, that would be Lucky Palms. Then just change the package extension to .world, it's all the same thing. Delphy's multipack extractor would work as well. Without the launcher putting whatever the fuck it does from the World.sims3pack into the combined .dbc file all the world strings will be all wonky though.

Okay I have two questions:
1. Does anyone have any good torrents of these store files? All these rapidshare clones result in me having to wait hours for my download to queue up and download unless I buy a useless subscription.
2. Anyone have a good method for organizing all of this crap? I'm tired of seeing the downloaded content icon scattered throughout my item menus with no sense of order, and I don't feel like sorting through making 30+ collections for store content. Specifically, is there a way to get rid of the downloaded items icon (plus the expansion pack icons also, I already know what is in the goddamn expansion pack) and to get any premade collections?
The general answer for most Mac issues is to use some form of BootCamp and install Windows on another partition. As for torrents, there are full torrents of the store content already decrapified and such, have you tried the major torrent sites? There are already collection files available on this site for store crap and a few other sites have them as well.

Wojtek, You need an English translation on your blog. I was curious as to what other conversions you've done since leaving MTS and I checked out your blog, but, it's hard to check out what conversions you've done if I can't read Polish.
Firefox has some decent translation plugins. Translate This! puts a little button at the bottom of your browser that opens up a new tab with the site you used it on auto translated, just in case actually going to Google Translate and putting in the address was too much for you.

I've found it to be necessary. If I get a new EP and don't drop in the dll, my game won't play.
I've found the same to be true. Hell, I can't even run AM in the new location without putting the framework in the old way with the .dll. Damned if I know why.

I'm sorry to keep on discussing a subject that clearly doesn't belong in this thread but I have the BB "Retailset". Does that one have the extra stairs? I believe the old file wasn't named "retail". I did recently download all the Store content from the download's thread so I assumed I had the newer version of BB.
I have no idea about the retail set or why they would give it a different name. One would assume it is the same as the BBDDset, as the one they put a box and code out in stores is exactly the same pack. So have you checked on your own for the stairs? That seems like the best way to know if you have them. I even supplied the names up thread. As for a thread with just the fixes, I am absolutely positive that if you had wrong info in it someone would point it out.

For some reason i have all the items from barnacle and the world also working, but the stairs just aren't there: The ones that appear here: <snip>
I might have figured it out. Does your world sims3pack have the name "BarnacleBayDDSet.Sims3Pack" or "BarnacleBay.Sims3Pack"? The First has the stairs, the second doesn't. The second one is just the world and was the first released, the first is the one available now, bundled with the Buccaneer Bounty set(BuccaneerSet.Sims3Pack) and the two stairs that are unique to that pack.

even the stairs from Barnacle Bay
pd: about the barnacle bay stairs, yes it's true, they're not showing in the game.
I'm not sure how either of you installed the Worlds, but I've always had the two stair cases. They are the Jacob's Staircase and the Barnacle Free Stair aren't they? Installing via the Launcher and then moving the resulting .dbc to my mods folder, and using CCmagic to install the worlds, has always resulted in my having the world objects. The worlds might be wonky with string errors, but the objects are there.

<snip> I've attached a fix .package that has the corrections (DeCrapped version). Just place it in Mods/Packages. The diagonals should no longer make those gaps
There were too many MTDoor materials, the cutout tiles per level were wrong, and one of the diagonal index TGI's was incorrect. Just normal blundering.
Hope it helps.
Baaaahh, this is great and all that. Stuck it in my Override folder and it works like a treat.

Does anyone else have an issue with some of the windows from the Bahhaus Set? Namely my issue is the Concrete Border Window and Transparent Window by Bahhaus. When put on a diagonal wall they cut away an entire, unrelated, square of wall next to the window. I'm not sure if any other store windows do this, I did test more at random, I only just noticed when I attempted to make a more modern looking house. All other windows in the set are fine, all other windows taking up the same amount of squares(4) are fine as a diagonal, all except for the Really Big Pane from Town Life which is a little off on it's footprint when on a diagonal wall.
Game all up to date, all Eps and Sps, method used for install was decrapifying and CCMagic.

You've moved them back into the same house? Most of the time it's CC, sometimes it's the sims, sometimes it's the lot. Try a different house. Or try a whole different family and save file
