26  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 November 16, 17:16:26
Does anyone know if there are plans to turn the Greenhouse community lot into a .package file once it is fully fixed?

By fully fixed, you mean what? The little building modifications to make it so it doesn't snow on the inside? Everyone's expected to do that in game on their own.
It would probably have to be two .packages, one decrapified lot file to stick in the Library folder, and the combined decrapified objects to go in mods. I assume, that's what I did with all the Venue sets, I'm not sure how everyone else handled that shit. Does a combined .package of of all the objects plus the lot work in the Library folder?

I think that's more of a question for yourself, no? Are you too speshul to have to do it yourself?
I know this is ridiculous coming from me, but you have misplaced something.  Wink
27  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2012 November 16, 17:06:44
Could someone put the greenhouse up as a .package file... somehow when I want to place the actual greenhouse in my neighborhood it misses all the windows and the roofs (just like that casino did)

Something went wrong for you. Mine places just fine, I suspect that even if someone supplied you with theirs you would have the same issues. I decrapified and compressed my sims3pack with the Compressorizor redux, extracted all the .packages from the Sims3pack with the multipack extractor, plucked out the Lot file, renamed it, dropped it in the Library folder, combined all the other .packages into one big lump, and put it in my mods folder.

Also, shouldn't all these requests for store crap actually be in the store crap help thread? Seems like people have been using this thread to say they just skimmed the store thread or the help thread and didn't actually look, or looked and the file wasn't there fast enough for their liking. Also, damn it, requesting the store packs is fucking stupid, someone will upload them when they get them, no amount of requesting will hurry that shit up. I don't mean "Hey, does someone have a different version of this file?", or "This upload exists, has someone gotten it?", I mean the "I want this Storecrap that just seconds\minutes ago was put in the store" requests.
On a similar subject, why is one upload site needed over another?
28  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2012 November 16, 02:38:39
Ok, I will have to look again, I used Multi-Installer to Extract all the files so I could put them in .package format and I used S3PE to look at all the files trying to find the Venue and I didn't see it. Thanks for letting me know, I'll take a look again, sadly for me I can not get it to install as a .Sims3Pack so like you I have to take all the files out and put them into my game as a .package file.

Little tip, if you are looking for certain files via Simpe, focus on the XML file, it will tell you near the top if the file was a CAS item, an Object, or a Lot. If you ran the Sims3pack through the Compressorizor and the Decrapifier, the file should be 6.16mb in size. Drop it in the library folder.
29  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 November 16, 02:19:49
The greenhouse is nice, but not surprising that it's borked.

And KT, I actually do not have it installed as a package.  I install all my decraps via launcher, so I don't think that is the problem.  I could be wrong, however.  I just know for sure that I did not convert it into a .package file.

Thanks, though.  Any idea as to what else could be the problem?

Did you actually leave the files in the DCCache folder and the installed worlds, or did you move them?
30  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2012 November 16, 02:17:21
Can someone upload the Stones Throw Greenhouse? I saw that igottapi  put the items to this up for Download but I looked and the actual Venue is not in that Medifire File just the stuff for the Venue, thankyou for that though igottapi. I'd like it, if it's not too much trouble, to have the actual EA built Venue in my Sims 3 World because I'm a terrible builder.  Wink

You are wrong, that is the lot and all the items. I extracted all the files from the .sims3pack to combine them into another collection and there is a lot .package.
31  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 October 16, 06:00:51
I've always had that problem unless I do the weird voodoo of using the old framework with the .dll, even though my awesomemod is in the Mods folder with all the other user files, not in the install files. Fuck if I know why, I just go with it since the old framework won't hurt anything(seemingly).
32  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I make the Sims 3 recognize installed expansion packs? on: 2012 October 16, 05:57:12
SendmeLies: Look, all I want to do is fit a square peg into a round hole. How difficult is that?!

More difficult for some people then one would think, as there are often people whining about their broken expansion when they've installed something like Pets to the exact same path as the Base game or other expansion, meaning the new expansion has written over the Base files.

Does your game start properly when you go into Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\ and double click the TS3W.exe file? (provided that your game is all patched up, if it isn't, that file may not be there, damn if I can remember which patch\expansion combo was out when they did it)
33  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I make the Sims 3 recognize installed expansion packs? on: 2012 October 15, 03:04:31
No configuration file, Pets didn't install correctly for some reason. The computer doesn't know it's there. Uninstall and reinstall.
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Supernatural Bugs on: 2012 September 22, 20:28:57
If you saved your game during a full moon you're screwed. It's a known that glitch that causes zombies to spawn left and right even when it's not a full moon. There's not really a way to fix it. You can consider that save FUBAR and start over with a new save. Be sure not to save during a full moon.

http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2012/09/town-overrun-by-zombies.html

I managed to "fix" my save using sloppyhousewife's mod and using the supernatural population control  option on the mailbox. Although using the debug option may have contributed to one of the zombies turning back to normal on my lawn, then dieing a few sim minutes later. Not really sure on that one.

Did sims always consider it to be "meeting a sim" when they were just in the same room or passed within a few feet of the other sim? I had a sim witch fulfill the "meet a new sim" want by just walking near the fairy. Never actually interacted with her. How about shy sims? Do they get the "shy from being around non-friends" moodlet when non friends are on the lot, or in the same room? If it's on the lot then that's fucking stupid, if it's in the same room, then my sim is somehow getting the moodlet from being around minor pets, and that is also fucking stupid. This save might be fucked up though, I'm not sure, the entire household has the family Hawk in their friends list.

It's been so damn long since I've played without AM or actually played instead of build houses, that I have honestly forgotten what is normal.
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Store content not showing in game on: 2012 September 20, 22:10:14
Putting the .world file in \GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds does work, and is needed, if you have a Custom world installed and for some reason it isn't showing in your available worlds list in game. This also works with EA World files, but the strings are all fucked up in game so all the lots and people have long ass names. The thing is, you have to take the world file from the InstalledWorlds folder, which apparently you do not have, and if you do not have it, then your world probably didn't install at all. Delete the contents of DCbackup. Remove the files in DCCache.Try to install the world. Do files show up in those folders?
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Bonehilda on: 2012 September 15, 20:22:12
By 'min 3' does that mean she doesn't do anything in any room less than three rooms/doors from her? That would explain her ignoring my kitchen.

No definitely not min 3 doors. I think they mean three units, like three squares.

Mine does laundry, and cleans the terrariums.

Edit: Just realized I haven't seen her actually use the machines, just collect the clothes and put them in the hamper, though there are a few rooms she won't collect from. I haven't seen mine cook either, though she's one room from there, she mostly spends her time warming her boney butt at the fireplace and of course pampering the cat.

Perhaps Witch should move this into it's own Bonehilda topic?
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Bonehilda on: 2012 September 14, 20:02:42
I looked in her XML file and apparently she will roam at min 3 units, and at max 10, then it has a little note about anything above 10 seeming to cause issue and her only moving through one room(one door) to find work. So it seems to all depend on where you place her coffin.
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2012 September 13, 21:05:36
Oh, good.  I had a similar mod that hasn't been updated for 1.38 and stopped working.  Now if I can just get an update for the "No auto cats playing in bathtub" so they'll stop falling off the map when I use a cc bathtub, I'll be a happy camper.
http://www.4shared.com/archive/Zm_9PGuU/NoAutoCatPlayTub.html?refurl=d1url
Try that. I just adjusted the settings for DisallowAutonomous in CatPlayInBathtub_Bathtub. I can set it so that it's not User directed as well.

I seem to have picked up something creepy when I installed supernatural. Every time I start my game it asks me for my serial to check online. If I am not online it refuses to start.

No, I am not using the launcher. Yes, I have tried a complete uninstall. I've even had a quick manual scrub through my registry.

Any suggestions?

It's the copy of the game you installed. Go through your registry and change the version to something with 2 at the end, instead of the 7 that it probably is. Then change the version number in the .ini file and the sku .txt file that's in the Supernatural install folder.
40  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: ISO for AL stops working after remount on: 2012 September 11, 03:14:47
Wow! Thanks for the speedy reply!

I don't think SecuROM is the issue ... I followed the Reclaim Your Game tute to remove SecuROM and they (any of the AL images) still don't run! I also tried using sd4hide, also to no avail.

I've never used a no-cd version - always just used ISOs with c racks. I'm getting a no-cd no-dvd version now ... hopefully this works! It seems a bit fishy that these are so small (<15MB when the ISO is ~1G ?!), but I guess I shouldn't knock 'em til I've tried 'em ...

They are so small because they aren't the entire game, they are just an exe file. Back up your original AL .exe and then just drop the new exe in it's place. Or you can leave the old exe where it is, change the no-cd .exes name so that it isn't the same as the original .exe, drop it in the same place, and point your shortcut to it, using that to open the game. What cracks are you using if it's not a nocd? If you don't know basic file types and some of the specifics for what you are doing with the files, you possibly shouldn't be messing around with ISOs.

Also, Reclaim Your Games instructions aren't going to be any use if you keep using the original exe to open the game with. That's what has the DRM. Everytime the original .exe is used, you'd put Securom back, unless for some reason your copy of the game has that stripped out. You can use a real CD to install the game and still avoid having Securom, so long as you use a no-cd when you play.
41  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: ISO for AL stops working after remount on: 2012 September 11, 01:24:11
Are you tring to install the game or just run it? If running it is the issue, then my guess is Securom. This is probably(and most likely) what your issue is. Remove Securom completely and use a no-cd like everyone else. If installing is the problem, then it is probably still Securom. Or you can try a manual install.

On a unrelated note, I'm also on the hunt for black and gray tattoos for males that are NOT tribal. I don't have any specific design in mind. If a design is well done and clean looking in game, I'll consider it.

I'm not certain about what you mean by black and gray, but by your mention of tribal I'm assuming you mean simple designs that wouldn't depend on color, here are a few:

Updated with latest test awesome mod, and this version seemed to give me a large influx of zombies.  At all times of day and night all over the place, I had a zombie party at my sims house.  Some kind zombie brought a boom box so they could dance and it was like a flash back to the thriller days. <snip>
I'm having the same issue on the partition where I installed the vanilla (and legit) game, no AwesomeMod, no mods, no CC. The problem seems to be one of the usual glitches by EA.
Nothing but store stuff here too, no AM yet. I had the same with the boombox happen, they all danced badly on my sims lawn. After nothing but the terrible influx of zombies, that scene was a briefly amusing diversion. EA is probably considering the ridiculous zombie swarming as a "feature".
44  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 September 05, 23:18:07
Selling objects in a sim's inventory seems buggy; I spawned a random selection of rocks/gems/metals, and after collecting them and selling them, each object would appear on the ground near the sim.  Selling the object a second time by dragging from the ground as opposed to dragging from the inventory worked.

I'm led to believe that this isn't an issue with AM. Yesterday, after installing my shiny new EP (Supernatural - let's go ahead and say that I have alL EPs and SPs), I played a completely vanilla game. While having a dog sniff out collectables, I'd sell them as he found them. They would pop back out on the ground. Happened with my sim's inventory as well.

No AM here yet either, and I'm seeing a pretty consistent and replicable issue when I try to direct use of an elixir while it's in a sims inventory, I first noticed it with the Invigorating Elixir. They seem able to autonomously use it with no problem, but my clicking on it while in inventory results in it a noticeable wait before the menu opens up. All action stops and the game freezes for a few seconds, although music keeps playing and little notes still float in the air. I can drag them out of inventory and use them without problem while they are sitting on a table or something. It's always possible it's my copy of Supernatural, so I was hesitant to mention it until I saw similar issues. I am expecting a new copy, and therefor a new install by tomorrow. Although if it's more then me, it looks easily tracked down.
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 09.04.2012) on: 2012 September 05, 18:20:39
I'll take a look. They don't "come" with the game, you have to register it and download them from your purchase history as usual.

Ah, well then, I have a functioning one via the sims3pack that was uploaded to the store thread. The pea shoots out, the sim catches it. It they are supposed to get some sort of athletic boost(probably not knowing EA thinking) then that doesn't happen. I have patch 1.38, Supernatural itself, and installed all of the store items using CCmagic.
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 09.04.2012) on: 2012 September 05, 05:28:00
Well, as you know, Supernatural came out today, and with it came the limited edition items. The peashooter doesn't show up in the decrapped game.

http://www.4shared.com/file/InHBMLw-/EP7LimitedEditionSET.html

Is that auto installed with the Limited Edition, or do you have to install it separately via the Sims3pack? The one in my game is there and functioning, my werewolf is playing catch with it. I installed the limited edition but also decrapified the sims3pack and installed all the store stuff with CCmagic.
47  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 September 05, 01:48:26
Only one version exists for the time being: the serials don't seem to work, the installer doesn't work properly and you end up copying all the files yourself, then modify the ini files by hand. Not even sure it does work in the end. Even if you somehow manage to make it work you will regret it in a couple of month when next patch will refuse to install and you will have to reinstall everything.

I managed to get that one to work, but I am experiencing error code 16 even using "save as". Seeing as I have gotten the same error from a "perfectly working" Sims 3, what is causing it could be anything or the funky install. I am waiting on a new copy, but at least I have something to fuck with while waiting.

I took it that if you had those items, the benefits are already there in Supernatural and all you have to do is install the EP.
If you have them directly from the store, that should be the how things work, seeing as most here have them decrapified, it may not be that simple.
48  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 September 04, 19:28:33
Supernatural Registration rewards and Limited Edition sets:

Do these include the Origins rewards as well?

The EP7RegSET file is a couple of PvsZ t-shirts.

The EP7LimitedEditionSET file contains the Pea Shooter and a couple of Zombie outfits. If it's the Decor pack you are asking about, this doesn't appear to have it.
49  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 August 22, 02:16:13
Grand.
What if one doesn't want certain items from that set? More stuff slow down your game.
Then you learn how to extract the .packages from the Sims3pack and how to combine the packages.
50  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: More Bodyshop Borkage- Package Installer Weirdness on: 2012 July 27, 17:04:27
Socks are a no-no, you didn't have anyway to retrieve your password?

I think the only thing Simpe needs is the .net framework, depending on your OS it may be a different one. If you have that, then I'm going to suggest that you may have a virus and all your exes are infected, which may sound like a big jump but is completely possible, I removed something like that from two peoples computers last year. It infected every .exe that was opened and infected anything transferred over a usb or network, the virus scanners were taken over and couldn't remove it or report it.
