No. It only works for 2 Maxis beds you were raising comfort and energy with Ailias's mod. Unlike Ailias's version, it's stripped of all other redundant extra stuff like duplicate meshes and so on. I posted the complete set for all Maxis beds up to Teen Style Stuff here. It does not work for custom beds, you have to change BCON yourself. I couldn't find the global hack Ellatrue mentioned anywhere in MTS2. Maybe it was deleted.

Yes, this is much needed. Who in the right mind would go to school with a snorkel on? When Seasons came out, I tried in vain to change the category of snorkels to appear only under swimsuit. The jewelry version works just as buggywell as Maxis defaults. As it's only a month until the release of FreeTime, isn't it a time for EAxis to throw some food to appease sheeples? I've been using Photobucket for several years. I like it because it doesn't mangle filenames, unlike some other imagehosts.

Darcyland / Lord Darcy Investigates / FFS Lot Debugger is mutated into the small glass vase - DIY package
|
on: 2008 January 29, 17:09:40
|
I turned FFS Lot Debugger into "Frost de Fleur Bud Vase" for aesthetic reason. Repository technique is applied, so it will use any existing recolors for Maxis vase. Can be placed on all surfaces (including decorative slots), and does not prevent eating when placed on the dining table. You might have to sell and rebuy the lot debugger for it to pick up the change. It's not an actual hack, as it isn't very practical for me to keep up lot debugger's frequent update. It's rather a DIY package of replacement mesh files and BHAVs. Whenever lot debugger is updated, open the new lot debugger in SimPE and add/replace these files. Basic SimPE skill is required. Update: Dizzy posted a patcher in this post. No need to use SimPE, yay! Instruction:1. Open FFS Lot Debugger in SimPE. 2. Delete the existing TXMT and TXTR for the black bat box. (Right-click on them in Resource List window and click Delete.) 3. Delete the existing CRES and SHPE. 4. Add GMDC, GMND, CRES and SHPE. (Right-click on blank space of Resource List window and click Add.) 5. Replace the "Function - Init" BHAV (instance number is 0x00001000) with the matching BHAV. You can find the correct BHAV by the last group of numbers in their filenames. 6. Add the other two custom BHAVs. (Instance numbers are 0x00001FFE and 0x00001FFF.) I gave them the highest instance numbers so that they would not conflict with official Awesome BHAVs. They are required so that the vase can sit on any surfaces and serve as a table deco. Posted here by request of Emma in this thread. The same technique can be applied to any Maxis object you like. Clone an object, set ModelName as ffsdebuggerbox in scenegraph rename wizard, extract mesh files (GMDC, GMND, CRES and SHPE). You may or may not need to modify BHAVs, it depends on what kind of object you're cloning. Apply repository technique to pull textures from the Maxis object.

The Mahjong table is not limited to vacation lots. It works fine in my game either at home or community lots, and I have oodles of hacks, Awesome and non-Awesome alike. Nothing is required to play Mahjong. Unlike poker, even kids can play it, though they can't play for money. In fact, it works too well, as it's on par with the poker table in the addiction level. Visitors are glued to the Mahjong table until they leave for bladder failure.
Try apply all patches available for each EP you own if you haven't done it already. Run the game in the debug mode and see if you can get an error log. Maybe someone more awesome than me can decipher the log and can give you an idea.

I turned lot debugger into the small glass vase from the base game. I use this vase in almost every lot for table decoration. It's a quite simple process if you have done it once. I saved required mesh files in a folder. Whenever lot debugger is updated, I just add those files in SimPE.

I downloaded all your Good Omens stuff from MTS2. I really love your bookshop CAS (it's the one I'm currently using) and Aziraphale hair. I believe I downloaded your recolors of Marvine's spiral stairs from Peasantry. I'll check out your other stuff posted on your site as well. Thanks for sharing your creations.

Sorry if I'm asking the obvious but did you patch Pets? I seem to remember there were some nasty looping/interaction type bugs at the beginning.
Not so obvious...I arrred everything from OfB on in one massive chunk. The description said it was properly patched, but where would I look to confirm that? There is no way Pets patch is integrated into the ARRR version, when the retail version of Pets is still sold unpatched. Unless it's All-EPs-in-One type of homemade crap, which I avoid like the plague. Edited for clarification.

No, it can't be used on Maxis clothing. To recategorize Maxis clothes, write down the name of the Maxis clothing you want to recategorize in CAS debug mode, and find the Property Set for that clothes using the SimPE's resource finder. (PropertySet Search) Extract the property set, make a new file, and add the extracted resourse to the new file. Change the category as you want. You can find category value here. A lot of creators already made various outerwear mods/clothing hiders. You can edit them to suit your needs. For example, fanseelamb's Outerwear mod adds GLS coat to Outerwear. Download the mod, and change the category in Property Set to 0x1000 (Outerwear only).

The first post is a bit misleading. Argon's template is NOT an empty Pleasantview, as stated in the original post. *THIS IS NOT PLEASANTVIEW, IT IS A TEMPLATE FOR CUSTOM NEIGHBORHOODS** It replaces Pleasantview with empty Driftwood terrain, which is the flattest default Maxis terrain. If you want empty Pleasantview without premade Sims in it, you must use SaraMK's version instead of Argon's.

I meant the scarcity of kitchen objects in general in all previous EPs. Actually I was going to mention fridge, but then I remembered that Uni came with two new fridges. (If you count the Wornable fridge as 'new', that is.) I just don't understand why EAxis didn't include more kitchen objects in previous EPs. Instead of making a bunch of useless decorative objects like Gorilla statues, they could make just one nice, useful fridge.

Those are the hacks from ailias that I've already mentioned were added after this happened. I was trying them (cautiously) because all my decent cheap, high energy double beds are broken (flashing blue) and so much has changed that I'm not comfortable altering the comfort myself any-more. I have made similar fixes for my personal use. They raise the energy and comfort equal to Medieval 4-poster double bed. They contain only modified BCONs and OBJD. To avoid cc asterisk in the catalog, put them into \TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins in your latest EP program folder. Edit: Now available for all Maxis beds.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: autonomous copycat behaviour (behavior)

I have certain ex-NPCs who have some weird behaviours when the go visiting on another lot. They walk into the house as if they own it and stay until like 4 o'clock in the morning...sometimes even longer. I had the same experience with the ex-NPCs. Uninvited ex-bartenders barging into the house everyday (it has nothing to do with their personality), constantly primping ex-Divas/ex-Mr.Bigs, constantly farting ex-Slobs, borked community outfits of ex-Uni NPCs and so on. I was so sick of them that I Delete 2'ed many ex-NPCs, until I found out how to strip NPC code from the character files. Now I can hang onto the good-looking ex-NPCs for breeding purpose.

The "Maximized XXX skill" memories will be borked. Sims cannot correctly gain memories/fulfill wants by using new FT skilling/crafting objects. Knowledge sims cannot fulfill "Maximized all 7 skills" LTW via new FT activities. Either they gain no memories, or they get false memory spam just like currently borked (and fixed by Pescado as usual) Eggplant Juice. Of course, eggplant juice will remain borked, or they make yet another half-assed attempt to fix it only to bork it MOAR, requiring update of eggplantjuice hack.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Expressed Appearance vs SimDNA...Technical Help Needed

I used to breed Sims only with default skintones/eyes, and used custom skin only for townies/NPCs that I don't ever plan to breed. Then, I realized that I would never take out Enayla's skintones anyway, so I just went ahead to breed Sims with them. I'm using geneticized version of her skintones and eyes, which can be found in Peasantry. I also geneticized a couple of other custom skintones that I can't part with.
I never download Photoskinned skintones. As I'm sick of Hollywood celebrities in real life, I have no desire to populate my Simhood with them.

Speaking of TSR, is there any reliable way to strip that spyware crap from original TSR files? Would it be sufficient to compress them with Jfade's Compressorizer? I heard that changing date/time with Attribute Changer is not safe enough.
