Impressive.  I never doubted you would honor us with something enlightening, but this is more than I'd hoped for.   Cheesy  Perhaps you might throw a little JeebusChrist's way--he seems cranky today.  I think we should really let him have the last word:  he seemed slighted at your taking all of the glory for yourself.

No, you can't have that monocle you always wanted as a young spawn.

Now, go away.
2  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / AL BodyShop won't open on: 2010 February 02, 02:56:34
Hi all,

Once again, I have broken my game. This time, it's BodyShop. Whenever I try to open it up it either does not start up or this error message appears:

I've deleted all cache files, rebooted, removed all CC and this is still happening. I looked the error message up on Google and there's no real solution there for BodyShop. There's no actual problem with the Sims game itself, that boots up and works properly, so I don't really want to have to reinstall if it's something like the exe being corrupt. Help would be greatly appreciated, BS was working as of the 24/5th of Jan so it's only a recent problem.

EDIT - Figured I'd add with a bit more extra info...

I just remembered I hadn't uninstalled SecuROM from this install yet, so I just did that manually and via the SecuROM Be Gone Batch File... it says it ran successfully, but if I search regedit with "SecuROM" a list of programs comes up, including BodyShop, not including Sims 2. Could this be it, and how would I go about fixing it?

System Specs:
Windows XP Professional SP3
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz
2.0GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9600/9550/X1050 Series

I don't know if this will help, but any information might...

That explains why I was always getting viruses a year ago. I was always downloading stuff from there for my sims 2 game.

If you actually lurked around here moar you would know you shouldn't touch a thing from there, tard.

Ah. Went everywhere and didn't see it, sorry, must have gone over it. My apologies.

Feel free to point and laugh, that fixed it.  Lips sealed

Perhaps a troubleshooting sticky with "first step: delete groups.cache" in it will prevent excessive ignorance like mine happening again. Cat me if you wish  Cheesy

I wandered over from PMBD over here for halpz.

Well, what happens is when I click on the shortcut for The Sims Seasons on the Desktop, I get the splash screen, but no game window. Body Shop, I get nothing. This happened after some error about Body Shop complaining that TS2 was still open and all, so I closed TS2, tried to open up Body Shop. Zilch. Since this happens to me with Nero StartSmart sometimes, I figured it may just need a reboot to start working again. No go. Gave it another reboot. Nothing.

Could it be something with my arr'd Seasons? Because I think it did this before and I had to uninstall and reinstall, which ain't a pretty option here at the moment since I've got some of my friend's expansions on here (Uni/OFB/stuff pack) from her expansion collection thingo and my d/l rate is absolute rubbish at times. It's definitely not a downloads problem, took them all out and same problem. Google gives me no answers on this other than reinstall...
