Knowing EA they'll probably have some gimmick like if you play the game on a plane you get an item that you can use in the ground version.  I'm guessing if this is going to be Single Player it'll be a lot like an unexpanded TS1 with TS2's graphics.

I wonder what the other games that might be in the planes could be?

I was wondering that too.  There will probably be the requisite sports games, kids educational games, some type of shooter (or maybe not???), puzzle games, poker game, etc.

I don't think I'm capable of playing an unhacked game.  At least, not without yelling (with lots of swearing included) at my sims when they do silly Maxis stuff.  Yelling like that on a plane is probably not a good idea ...

Too true.  They will probably take out a lot of the more interesting things too.  I'm pretty sure there will be no sim woohoo.  On the up side, I'm sure they will still be able fight at the drop of a hat.  Wink

I was just on Amazon and they listed this little info tidbit for me.  I didn't see it mentioned yet, but if it was, I'm sorry for wasting your precious computer time. Grin

The Sims are going mobile, but probably not in the way you assumed.

They took over higher education in The Sims 2 University; took over the workplace in The Sims 2: Open for Business; took over the town in The Sims 2: Nightlife. They even have time for pets and bling in The Sims 2: Pets and The Sims 2: Glamour Life Stuff. The sky seems to be the limit with the Sims, literally. According to Kotaku.com, EA is in negotiations with DTI Software to bring the Sims, as one of a slew of games to a seatback near you. EA representative Tammy Schachter says that the planned in-flight version will use existing art and gameplay mechanics but that it will be a totally new game. No plans for multiplayer support as of yet, but can you imagine multiplayer gaming on planes, hmmmm? Give the people something fun to do and watch those nasty old carry-on luggage, cell phone using, one bag of nuts per customer controversies Sim-ply melt away.

Yes, I have fish. I am truly embarrased (but dumb enough to admit) that I'm dumb enough to not have a clue what my graphics card is. Embarrassed

How's that for a completely non-helpful answer. *sorry, shutting up now*

I'm in the same embarassing situation as Elfpuddle.  I have fish and no clue as to what my graphics card is.   Huh

That is fine...I was mainly talking about the base game tho...and no Uni careers have LTWs.   Angry  Fortune sims get the most Career LTWs, and Family sims only get one.  I know Family Sims are centered around family, but I hate that they only career Maxis thinks they are interested in is Law Enforcement.  Tongue  What about Culinary, Medicine, or Science?

Maybe it was just my game, but once (only once) I had a family sim interested in the culinary track.  I was wondering why that only happened once.

Two plus two does equal five.  Doesn't it? Huh

I wish Maxis would add a religion generator.  That way we could customize a religion and name it.  If we wanted to make Catholic sims, we could set the parameters that correspond with the Catholic religion.  I personally want this soley so I can create a cult.  Think of how fun it would be to brainwash sims and swindle them out of their money.  Grin

The phone book is also a good source for names.
