Akatonbo, the website was Trollsims. I have their entire list in a MSWord document divided into separate docs according to category. The categories are Appliances, Comfort, Decorative, Doors, Electronics, Fences.Gates.Columns, Fireplaces, Lighting, Misc, Plants, Plumbing, Pool, Stairs, Surfaces and Windows. It is set up as a table with small pics of each item as well as the name and the price. Also the environment score where applicable. I would be happy to email an attachment of any of the categories you are interested in or the whole thing if you want, but it is about 70 pages long in total.

This reminds me of the short story by John Cheever (if memory serves me right) about a man who swam everywhere he went. I can't remember the name of the story...it's been decades since I read it.

On topic: Swimming pools normalize temp, so maybe they were trying to warm up a bit?  Or is there something blocking their route and they 'walk/swim' through the pool to get to the portal?

I cannot name the short story either, but a film was made years ago starring Burt Lancaster and the title was The Swimmer.

Are you using a custom crib or cradle?  The Eye does not like custom cribs because they have a different GUID than it is looking for.

Is it possible for me to add the GUID of a custom cradle so that it will be recognized by the Eye?

I had this problem also and read elsewhere that it was low social but that did not always solve it. So I too made the babe selectable, found it was comfort and solved it with a bath. My babies seem to need bathing if for some reason their diapers are not changed stat. Which makes sense. With the baby controller I find mom or dad will seem to know when the baby is about to let go and be standing by the crib ready to whisk them onto the changing table. Anyway bathing raises the comfort and if the social is ok they will hang out in the crib quietly. I wish we had a little basket to put them in or something.

I tested this in a clean game with very small neighborhood-100 including NPCs-and a single family. It was the only hack in the game and the only thing in my downloads folder. It worked perfectly. The trip to the CL took 3 minutes. Taking the whole fam incl dog and cat worked fine. Then I moved all my hacks into the game, that is both Directors Cuts, ACR, process-autonomy, and a bunch of other misc ones and reran the scenario. This time I got a call to go on an outing. Every hack and interaction worked perfectly. We were 8 adults, 1 kid, dog, cat. Worked like a charm. Watching carefully, the moment the Taxi hits the portal is the same time they arrive home. I think because this is a testing neigborhood and so small.  I will test it in my 500 plus person neigborhood to see if I can get those hour-long drive times others have experienced. 3x speed is triggered as soon as they leave Downtown and the game switches to home view. When they arrive home, switches to 1x.

I got to see lightening strike my lot while they were gone. I thought, Gee I hope their house doesnt burn down while they are out bowling!

I think this is related to chance cards, its a problem I am having and have searched and searched all the boards I belong to and have found no one else with this complaint. Many of my simmies work all the way to the top of their career and never get plat and still have the lifetime want to become what they already are. Undecided I have been forced to try to get them demoted in order for them to get justice. After pondering why this might be occurring  I remembered that at least one of them got to the top of their career via a chance card promotion. Could that be the cause of my glitch? I may have failed to send them back to work immediately in their personal vehicle and therefore the official promotional process never took place. Does that sound possible?  Anyway the demotion-remotion strategy is a pain but it works.

Also, since I hate having my sims fired I always save before they go to work. If they lose all their dough, get demoted, lose skills I just suck it up. But if they get fired-I reload. Grin
