They can teleport if they meditate long enough??!!?!  Shocked

That explains why I have never seen this - my Sims never EVER meditate. Tried it once, was rather like watching paint dry. I'm too impatient for that kind of stuff.

Sleep is for wusses, haven't you heard?!

Is that like those stupid articles they have in crappy magazines like Cosmo 'Brown is the new Black', 'Slutty Bimbo is the new Britney', "Sleep is For Wusses" etc. etc.

Maybe not.

You know what would be a good item? A computer that causes death to users with insufficient logic. Be good for stress relief.

Yeah, that'd be good. Maybe even one for the game, too..... Grin

I would've thought your Sims had PLENTY to be unexplainably angry about, broken mood boosts sound like the least of their problems, what with all the death/destruction/burnination going on.....

Wasn't there a thread about JMP being an alien?

Make up your mind, people!!

Anyway, I think such ineffable Awesomeness quite clearly transcends labels. JMP just Is.
81  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife: COOL! on: 2005 August 02, 12:29:32
I agree, the rivalry thing sounds cool - at the moment, there's nothig more distracting than urging two Sims to fight fight FIGHT... and then they stop and swap jokes, or gossip about who set fire to what this week, or, god help us, start that annoying school cheer.  Roll Eyes

Rivalry AND flamethrowers? Sounds like a perfect combination.....  Grin
82  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Birthday Cakes: Horribly and Unexplainably Buggy? on: 2005 August 02, 06:02:38
Hate cakes, hate parties - the only time any of my Sims see a cake is when they grow up into a toddler, every other birthday they just get to grow up without the aid of a cake/stupid balloons etc. And parties just shit me to tears, everybody always congregates in the bathroom, nobody can even LOOk at someone they're not married to without the daggers flying everywhere, and all for the sake of one lousy "Had Good Party' memory?
83  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dreamer House Postbox anomaly on: 2005 August 02, 03:05:01
Have also noticed the same thing, except in all my houses - either the Pay at Box option just doesn't work, and the Sim treks the freakin' bill right back into the house, up three flights of stairs just to deposit it on some far-flung table.... OR I just don't get any bills at all - the option to unsticky bills comes up on the Lot Debugger, but they never actually seem to unsticky.

Fortunately for everyone, the Repo man seems to be on holiday right now, so none of my Sims have to suffer the trauma of having their favourite painting/oven/flamingo removed...
84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Birthday Cakes: Horribly and Unexplainably Buggy? on: 2005 August 01, 06:33:42
I have random buggyness with my cakes - sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. When they don't, it usually means I end up with a bunch of Sims standing around looking at each other, nobody doing anything... but then all this happened before I installed the Awesomeness that is the Lot Debugger.
85  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Burning question.... on: 2005 August 01, 05:21:50
Oo, thanks, AncientSim!

*off to wreak yet more Pleasantview havoc*

I am unclear as to the difference between 'Reroll Lame LTW' and 'Toggle LTW thingy'

Also, what are stuck motives?

I did RTFM, honestly, but it didn't answer my question, and thus gave my an opportunity to come here and ask it and risk making a dick of myself, but that has never bothered me in the past...
87  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Burning question.... on: 2005 August 01, 04:36:02
I've seen Buyable Fire mentioned a few times around here - where might I find this item?? I've got a couple of Broke offspring pegged as future pyromaniacs, and Buyable Fire would be pretty damn cool.

Thank ye kindly.

P.S. I can handle being mocked, but try to take my lips and I will put up a fight. Or at the very least, a kind of undignified tussle.  Smiley

it clearly states somewhere or other that a Sim has to be ill for 10 days before they will die

That would be the Prima Guide, it gets lots of things wrong.
89  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Am I a bad person? on: 2005 July 29, 02:43:17
You're not alone, Vecki - Uni becomes extremely tiresome after a while, and now I just use it to allow my Sims to meet (and shag) new people, and just basically get through it as quick as poss.

Pretty much like Uni in RL, as I recall..... Grin
90  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Plans for Nightlife on: 2005 July 29, 02:40:13
I know the feeling, sometimes ignorance really is bliss, and over at the official BBS those are some of the happiest idiots around....

I'm going to hold off on getting Nightlife, and will instead wait and watch everyone else stress out about how buggy it is first. Then once He Who Is More Awesome Than Any Of Us has lovingly created all the shiny awesomeness that will make it nice and fixed and playable, THEN will I go out and part with my hard-earned moolah for it.

Besides, I don't give a crap about vampires, and now have a phobia about cars thanks to this forum.  Cheesy
91  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Married a cheerleader who always dresses as lama on: 2005 July 29, 02:07:47
Oh, I wish I'd read this thread BEFORE I had one of my Sims marry a cheerleader - although she's now dropped out of Uni and is living back in the 'hood, she can still only wear YA clothes, although her age thingy (see - I know all the technical terms) shows her as being an adult...

Bloody hell, this game gives me the s#!ts sometimes ....  Grin

92  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nannies Who Won't Leave on: 2005 July 29, 02:00:25
Nice thought, Zephyr, but no, I don't have diagonal doors. Although my Sims all seem to be fascinated with the bathroom, so it's sometimes no surprise the nanny can't get in to pee, the place is usually clogged up with Sims having conversations/proposing/giving birth/expiring.
93  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nannies Who Won't Leave on: 2005 July 28, 01:59:32
Thanks for the advice - I haven't got any downloaded cars, and I don't download lots, either, so... who knows?

Ah well. Just yet another Maxis annoyance to live with...

*off to mop up nanny pee*

Oo, yay, this is great - thank you!!

P.S. Who is Draklixa, and why does he/she get congratulated in every RTFM?? Just curious, is all.....  Grin
95  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Nannies Who Won't Leave on: 2005 July 27, 05:49:48
My Pleasantview has suddenly been hit with a spate of Nannies who are unhealthily dedicated to their profession, and refuse to leave the house once their allotted time is up. When I choose the 'Dismiss' option, the parental Sim will approach the nanny and can quite clearly be seen to tell them to bugger off, yet the nanny stays put. Killing them traumatises the Sim-kids, and deleting them gets the job done, but is really the wusses' way out, I fear... They're driving me insane, what with their endless fascination with making gelatine desserts which NOBODY EVER EATS, oh, and the peeing everywhere like untrained puppies.

Any ideas? I haven't added any non-JMP hacks lately, (even then, I only have a couple of those - Twojeff's, Inge's teleporter bush, and Merola's painting. Oh, and the Voodoo Bottle. That's it, honest..)

Other than this, everything else in my game is fine. It's just that I can no longer handle my Sim houses being swamped in puddles of Nanny-pee, to be quite frank.  Angry

Thank you.  Smiley
96  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Other Games? on: 2005 July 26, 13:18:58
I used to play Sim City, right up until Sims 1 came out.
Then I played Sims 1 right up until Sims 2 came out.

See the pattern here? Although I have flirted with other games in the past, most notably Civ 2, but the novelty always wore off, and I went back to my Sims.

I think it's just that when I'm being a power-hungry Bitch Goddess,  I like to be right up close and personal to my game.   Slaughtering the masses isn't as half as much fun as ruining a Sim's day by dropping a satellite on his head. Grin
97  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: "Find own place" broken on: 2005 July 25, 06:49:33
Do you have Twojeff's exam moveout fixes?? If so, try removing them - I had the same problem, and the only 'fix' I could find was taking that hack out. I've heard/read about other people with the same issue, too, so I know it's not all just in my imagination. Well, most of it isn't, anyway.

Hope this helps....? Or at the very least, doesn't hinder too much. Smiley
