51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Where are all the darn reporters!?!?! on: 2006 March 10, 14:02:57
My business got bad review. It was a Maxis made shop and all I did was put a bit more stock into it prior to opening. What can be done to ensure a good review, or is it just random?
52  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Clothes Changing Hack? on: 2006 March 07, 17:22:00
At this point it seems none of her clothes change doors are OFB compatible either. I have the DMA controller, but that doesn't work the way Inge's flower worked. My preference is the flower by far, but right now I guess I'll just have to mourn its passing  Sad  and get on with things. Unless of course someone else chooses to do a hack like it.

Thanks Gus, I will look again at the smart doors, but unfortunately I'd rather have one flower than a whoile raft of new doors.
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Clothes Changing Hack? on: 2006 March 07, 16:48:37
Hi Motoki, Its not a hack for picking new clothes for a sim. Its a hacked flower (In Inge's case), that allows you to set the type of clothing that a sim will wear when they enter a certain room. For instance, if I have a pool house, I would put a "clothes change flower" inside the pool house and set it to make everyone that enters that room  put on their bathing suit. I would use another flower in my upstairs hallway so that when sims come out of their bedrooms in the morning, they would automatically put on their everyday clothes, thus preventing sims from doing any and everything in their pajamas. You can find the object at Inge's site under 'hacked doors' and then 'complete clothes-change system'. As I said, she has noted she will not be updating it for OFB and its a hack I will really miss.
54  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Clothes Changing Hack? on: 2006 March 07, 13:41:37
I have used Inge's clothes changing system and see that it is not compatible with OFB and she will NOT be updating it. Would anyone else consider doing a mod like it for OFB? I know you are all busy with updating your hacks at the moment, but maybe sometime in the future? Thanks
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Graphics improvement with OFB on: 2006 March 05, 16:26:35
I have an Nvidia FX5200 here and have found a great improvement in my graphics with OFB. Its a real relief after all the issues I had with the install of Nightlife. Good stuff!
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OFB Shopping Districts... really necessary? on: 2006 March 04, 18:51:52
I was wondering exactly that same thing Allen. In my opinion and from what I have seen so far in OFB it does seem redundant. If you can create businesses within all of the neighborhoods, and also in any residential lot, then the whole business district is sort of silly.
57  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Lot Sync Timer: All BlueSoups Suck Edition on: 2005 December 28, 23:37:42
I was hoping for a recolor or possibly even a clone so it could be a house plants or vase. The idea is awesome and very useful but the object does leave a bit to be desired in the decor department. No offence J.M..... just leave me my lips intact please and drop the cheese here. Thanks
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What the... (a strange graphics glitch) on: 2005 December 14, 16:09:19
I was going to ask if you had an NVidia card too. I have an NVidia GeForce 5200 and for ages had major graphics glitches such as that. I finally (after trying dozens) have  hit on a driver that works fairly well so I'm not moving from this one. Its Version 7.8.0.1. Have the game running 90% graphic glitch free now. I am hoping that NVidia will address the Sims 2 problems in an update one day. In my opinion, its definately some sort of problem between NVidia cards and Sims2 as far as I can figure. Many others with NVidia cards have reported such problems also.
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Autonomy Numbers in SimPe? on: 2005 November 20, 18:02:44
Well, I'm lost now! I don't even see a drop down list except for one called Motives and under that is adult, teen, child, etc. As for the PJSE plugin.......huh? Maybe I will reinstall SimPe and say 'Yes'
I really appreciate all your help this morning Inge, but I think I need to find a couple tutorials and sift through them again. I really seem to be a bit dense with SimPe and have only recently learned how to recat objects with it. One day I'll get this!
I'm off to church now and will not be able to check back to this thread for a few hours. All you SimPe whizzes please be nice to me, no making fun! Thanks again. TTFN
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Autonomy Numbers in SimPe? on: 2005 November 20, 17:45:52
Thanks again, just one more thing. What values do I use for the Att. Value to make sims want to go over to it? Right now the object Att. Value is set at 0x00000000. Thanks again. Hope your patience is holding out with me Smiley
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Autonomy Numbers in SimPe? on: 2005 November 20, 17:00:32
Thanks Inge...Do you get progressive autonomy levels for numbers between 50 and 100. For instance 60 would be a little more attractive, 75 a bit more, etc.? Also, does this affect then how 'attractive' (drawn to) the object the sim is? If not, what value do I change to make the object more attractive and to what numbers for more/less attraction?
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Autonomy Numbers in SimPe? on: 2005 November 20, 16:50:30
Could someone briefly explain how to set autonomy numbers in SimPe. I know where they are, I just don't know how high or low to set the number. Is 100 full autonomy(always use) or no autonomy(never use)? How high or low can I set the autonomy, to 0 or 1000? Thanks for the info.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request?...'More Autonomy in game play' hacks. on: 2005 November 18, 13:56:55
Could someone do me a favor and explain the best way to use 'power idle'. I know I find it in the macro...menu, click it, and the sims just begin to take care of all needs autonomously. If its in the menu on the sim, why is the yellow box necessary? How are they different or how are they used differently? Thanks
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Request?...'More Autonomy in game play' hacks. on: 2005 November 18, 04:50:25
I am always interested in any hacks that can take me 'out of' the game. In my opinion, the more autonomy in the game the better. I currently use Pescado's sleepclock so my sims head off to bed 'autonomously'. I also use Inge's pleaseyourselfplant2 so the sims motive needs are governed by the vase and therefore 'autonomously' managed. It would be really awesome if more aspects of the game could be made to live out 'autonomously' I saw a thread yesterday about an autonomous proposal that occurred in the game. How cool!! Imagine what elements of surprise would be available. In that thread there was discussion about autonomous woohoo. What else could be done 'autonomously' Are hacks like this possible? Would anyone here consider concentrating their modding expertise in this direction? Just a thought. The idea really intrigues me. Thanks for listening. Tracy
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Problem with 'Invite Sim To Community Lot' on: 2005 November 17, 00:25:39
I have a strange glitch occuring. I had a teen use her cell to call 'transportation' and invite a sim to a community lot. I get her to invite a friend, the game asks me 'where I want to go' and the taxi shows up. My teen sim then leaves in the taxi and completely disappears from the lot and from the user interface. Its as though she has left home by moving out. The lot never goes to the community lot shes just no longer at home. Anyone else ever had this? Anyone have any idea why this is occurring? I exited the lot with out saving and went in and tried to do the same thing again. It keep occurring. Suggestions appreciated.

Edit: It only seems to happen with teens...the adults are able to go to the community lot this way just fine.
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game throws new Curve on: 2005 November 16, 20:35:06
My desire is to have my game as 'autonomous' as possible. I wonder if autonomy hacks for such things as proposals, woohoo, etc. could be done. I think that would add a wonderful element of surprise to the game. Great idea!
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Throw Party on Community Lot? on: 2005 November 16, 06:37:01
That does count KLGFCG, thanks for the input. I think I may do a NH backup and try it out. No harm in trying if I make sure my hood is backed up.

68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Throw Party on Community Lot? on: 2005 November 16, 04:51:30
Also wondered if anyone has managed to 'enable' buy mode on community lots?   Thanks

Yep, you can just do boolprop dormspecifictoolsdisabled false for that.

I had no idea this cheat work on all com lots to enable buy mode. This is great! Thanks Motoki. Is there any way to get this cheat to work in a startup.cheat file? Doesn't seem to.

Unfortunately the 'party on community lots' by Cathair does not work for Nightlife and there doesn't seem to be plans for an update. Maybe someone else might consider a hack like it.

As for 'saving' on a community lots, I realize it doesn't save, all I needed was access to a hacked object that I wanted. Now with Motoki's advice on the boolprop cheat I have all I need though a 'party' hack would still be nice.

Thanks for all the help. Cheers!
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Throw Party on Community Lot? on: 2005 November 16, 02:14:02
Is there the possibilty of someone doing a hack that would allow for a party on a community lot? When someone gets to a community lot they could use their cell phone to 'throw a party' and invite their friends to come. It would be great for community lot weddings.

Also wondered if anyone has managed to 'enable' buy mode on community lots?   Thanks

But I rather like them wearing work or whatever clothes downtown, I go out after work sometimes.

Would you ever go out looking like a walking order of french fries? A military uniform is one thing, but its a matter of self respect with the french fry suit!!  Thanks for the link. Much appreciated.
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / No work clothes on com lot hack? on: 2005 October 26, 17:13:23
I thought I saw a mod named this somewhere, anyone know where? I'm sick of seeing a french-fry headed rufus bowling or dancing on a community lot. You'd think the guy would have enough self respect to change from that goofy work outfit before coming downtown to socialize! sheeesh!
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dorm Question on: 2005 October 25, 14:34:46
Well! You learn something new everyday! I had no idea that was possible Inge. So, if I have a six person dorm, 4 of my sims and two game produced dormies, I can move in two more of my sims and it will give the dormies the boot? Very cool!
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Dorm Question on: 2005 October 25, 14:02:09
Hi, I want to move 4 teenagers into a six person dorm to start college. I do not want the other two dorm rooms to fill with dormmates until I get all my 4 into the one dorm first. I do eventually want the game to produce the other two students, but not till I'm ready. I have Pescado's notownieregen in my game and this is a fresh 'hood that I am trying to keep from becoming over populated with game townies, npc's, etc. I have Nightlife installed. Can I put Pescado's no dormate hack in just for awhile while I settle my 4 students, and then remove it, put in TwoJeff's dorm mate gender chooser when I'm ready for the game to make me two dormmates? Is that the best way to do it? If I seem a bit anal about this its because.... I am! I want to keep a pristine neighborhood that is only populated with sims of my choosing. Thanks for the advice.
P.S. One more question.....I put boolprop dormspecifictoolsdisabled false in my startup cheat file but its not working in the game. Any suggestions?
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My alien teen has no face...is there a fix? on: 2005 October 22, 20:44:04
After his father had momentarily left his laboratory unlocked, Lobong snuck in and tried the facial surgery machine. Heres the result. Hes not so sure he wanted to look quite so 'human' but its better than being the guy with no face. Thanks for the help.

Thanks people.........unfortunately my aliens are actually Venutians.......no relation to Nofacions. I will try the age change Motoki and see if that works. Thanks
