Can I use a coupon at the restaurant?

edit:  Hey, there is no penalty for little accidents (pee in pants, not babies).  Unless of course, you're a sucker for punishment and playing the email challenge as well.
52  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OT - You know you're an internet geek when.... on: 2005 December 12, 19:03:48
Met my husband in a TCP/IP class for Microsoft.  Saw him playing Starcraft.  Called him a dork.  As a joke he changed the shell of my class computer to the welcome screen and then realized it's irreversable.    He beat my butt at Starcraft.  I beat his butt at the TCPIP test.   Called me his Kernel32 over IM while my jerk-husband-at-the-time was in the next room sleeping.  Got divorced and married on the same day in a magistrate's office 4 months later.  Been happily married 6 years now.
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This is the pits on: 2005 December 12, 16:14:20
If you put them in the inventory, it doesn't stop them from wanting them. Seriously-the inventory sucks!

I like the inventory.  It's a little bothersome to keep taking out the bowling alley and the DJ booth and say "see, you have it already" but it always makes the wants reroll into something more sensible.

Edit:  TaWanda, maybe they fell into the pit?  If I saw a chocolate brownie in a pit and I was just thinking of having a chocolate brownie, I may consider sliding down too.
54  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Where in the heck are my toaster pastries? on: 2005 December 01, 18:08:24
If you're using the stove that came with University, there is no oven, so no Toaster Pasties can be prepared with it. No Lobster Thermidor, either, or anything that requires an oven.
I never noticed this!  Well, that explains a lot.  Thanks!

I'll be sure to look in his closet and see if he got the male version.

Male and female fig leaves are very similiar.  You may need to look at the care tag to see which is which.

56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: AMAZING Sims story - with a vampire boyband! on: 2005 November 29, 20:15:20
Thanks for the link, baratron!  Great entertainment between job-related-yawn activities.
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: bogarting the hot tub ? on: 2005 November 29, 16:45:54
Buy that stupid 800 simoleon game and place it in the front yard.  It attracts sims like flies.  Easy to find your guests that way.  You may even find your own sims in the middle of the night just standing in front of it for hours.
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can the Gypsy be fixed? on: 2005 November 29, 16:40:01
I just noticed that her initial introduction has an escape clause reminding you that she sells potions to change turn ons and offs.  So I guess her plan is to give you someone who COULD be a potential soul mate IF you purchase a potion (or two). Ha!
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightmare scenarios. on: 2005 November 29, 16:31:25
My nightmare involves children - don't they all?  Prosperity CAS family called Embargo rolled random with one adult (Sugar), three boys (Jam, Malt and Barley), and one toddler (Flour).  Lived on the yard with a tiny bathroom and little baby room where Flour can scream her heart out when she wakes up.  Poor Sugar was a sloppy Knowledge sim and not very bright either.   Was unusually hard to get her in green.  Kept her at home to avoid nanny disasters and teach kids all the kid stuff.   Problem was, every day the boys came home from school badly needing to pee (no-one pees at school?), filthy as hell, all insisting on placing their homework in the bathroom,  and every one of them bringing home a new friend.  At one point I paused to take a picture of kids everywhere, and laughed hysterically.

Yeah really, and do they HAVE TO POOP AT THE SAME TIME ? ? ? ?
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: phone hack on: 2005 November 15, 22:58:41
Anyway, my estimate is that it rang 39.5 times ...

Sounds about right.  Only sims have the luxury of hearing the phone ring and instead eat, date, go to work, get promoted, come back home, pee, and then answer it.
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: phone hack on: 2005 November 14, 17:45:05
tryoutz,  I feel your pain.  I turned my sound effects waaay down, so I can't hardly hear it ring.  Too bad they still answer the thing when you're not looking.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I have Simpotence on: 2005 November 09, 20:32:30
Well, the good news is that the next truck arrives next week. Maybe Nightlife will be on it.

Ok, I figured it out. JM either lives on a satelite or Antarctica.

65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I now have 4 party guests on: 2005 October 28, 15:39:34
Thanks, Motoki.  I think I'll do that.  I'm so thoroughly sick of trying to meet townies on community lot, only to have them leave after 2 seconds because another townie showed up.

Edited to add:  Hey, it worked great!  Made a zillion townie friends this weekend  Grin
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Flu epidemic... on: 2005 October 28, 14:43:46
I'm not sure if it's related but I had my mad scientist make a virus and she never disposed of it.

Possibly.  Those are extremely contagious.

I just have to add that I have tried making my sick sim drink her own "medicine" from that stupid biostation for many (sim)days continually until she was blue in the face and it never made her better.  In fact, she managed to make herself sick frequently on top of being sick already.  Yes, she had a high logic and her needs were always nice and green.
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What a waste of food! on: 2005 October 27, 21:44:11
The hack only counts the hungry sims actually on the lot; so if someone is at work, they won't have a hot meal sitting there waiting for them when they get home, they'll have to cook it themselves.

KellyQ, something tells me that YOU would love a hot steaming meal waiting when you come home from work.  Boy, I wish I could find a hack for THAT!
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No work clothes on com lot hack? on: 2005 October 27, 21:23:45
She seems mighty attached to that bag of newspapers.
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Just wanted to share a bit of my amusement on: 2005 October 27, 20:53:21
That child looks like one I saw in Ethiopia.

No WONDER it takes forever for JM to get Nightlife!
Probably hiding in a mud hut with a Boesman family in Africa.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 3 or 4 lightening bolts on: 2005 October 27, 20:18:02
How about getting your own webpage on geocities?  Upload the file, make a link for it and tell people where to go.  You get about 15MB space for free.
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Flu epidemic... on: 2005 October 27, 19:57:14
I've had an epidemic before and now I'm a Health Nazi.  If a sim gets sick, he immediately gets quarantined:  locked in a room with entertainment, couch for sleeping, bath, toilet and no doors.  When the other sims eat, I place a plate of food in his room. If he has to go to work, he gets a phone to call in sick.  No getting out until he's healthy again.
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What a waste of food! on: 2005 October 27, 19:00:38
But have you looked at your fat female sims from the rear? Grin

Ack, thank goodness MATY is back up.  I was starting to get jittery.  Thanks for the info, JM!
ZephyrZodiac, quit looking at their butts!  Sheesh!

73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What a waste of food! on: 2005 October 26, 22:39:32
Thanks for the link, KellyQ!  I'll try that out.
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / What a waste of food! on: 2005 October 26, 19:23:44
Please tell me that I am not the only one who is obsessed with not wasting food.  I only let them serve food if there are at least 3 very hungry sims on the lot.  Usually it's just a chef salad.  Sometimes I let one sim make food, eat it halfway, and then let another sim eat the rest.  How sad is that.
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Typical Playing Day? on: 2005 October 26, 18:21:35
Good luck, IridescentKerry!  Never bet on more than 1 hour a day.  If it's longer, enjoy!  If it's shorter, join the club. There's always the weekend.  And vacation days, holidays . . . and sick days.  Hey, at least you're making money so you can afford upgrades and expansion packs.
