TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Finding the mesh for the juice box-o-blood
|

So I've been poking around looking for the mesh for the juicy juice the vamps drink from the fridge. Can't find it. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I've been lurking in the full and delta builds, if it's there I'm just completely missing it. I can't seem to find any other food meshes either so I'm inclined to think I'm in the wrong place, that or they are not named something to obvious. I'm going to try gameplaydata next but I don't think it'll be there.
Also, If I also wanted to change the name of the juice box that'll be in a stabl file in gameplaydata, right?

Yea that tattoo is no good. BTW the action hunt does more than show a vamp is in the room. When a vamp uses hunt the game chooses one sim that would extra delectable. You get a lousy moodlet that's slightly better than the basic one you get for drinking. It would be possible to replace the juice box mesh and name with something else, yes?

But do they actually lose their powers in the sun light? Or is the sun setting by the time that kicks in too, like the heating up moodlets. It just seems to me that there should be more of a penalty for being out in the sun, like sparkles.

About your vamp vigor moodlet always being active: It shouldn't be. Mine goes away at 6am and comes back at 6pm. Also, if you are outside for more than an hour you should get the "heating up" moodlet and if you stay outside for another 3 hours you should get the "too much sun" moodlet. It sounds like that isn't happening for your vampire so either he is glitched or you have some cc that is conflicting.
The vigor stays active just aboot all the time, I do still get the heating up moodlets. But I guess what I meant to say was that even though you get those moodlets there really isn't any real side effects to staying out in the sun as they are not life threatening as in Sims 2.

If you think the juice boxes and plasma fruit are lame simply don't use them, problem solved. But I do agree with the fact that there really is no difference between staying outside in the daytime from the night time, I usually keep the vamp vigor moodlet all the time. Has anyone had any vamp children yet? Do they age properly? I know I read they can't drink from another sim until YA, that would be good to change. I was kinda looking foward to having little creepy evil vamp children running around.

Hmm, my games been acting weird today. Its crashed twice, once it restarted my computer; second time it was to the desktop.
I checked my crash log and it said this "type: ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00000005" And then my installation path. Could it be that the crack I used is screwed? Or maybe I did it wrong, but I know I replaced the old .exe with the one I downloaded. It also said "DasmX86Dll.dll" is missing?
Why are you still using a cracked .exe? Those things are no good. Use a package like nraas no cd mod.

It seems bills can't go in the apartment mailbox. They're just dumped next to it and can't be placed in.
Apparently, there is a trash chute. Lord knows where that thing is meant to be found.
Bills do go in to and can be paid from the mail box, and the trash shoot is right outside of the apartments near the elevator somewhere.

I also don't have AM, and successfully patched the base game up to 1.17 after a complete reinstall. With most of what little CC I have back in the root folder like I prefer it (except for AD85's modular core mod, which will be at least a few more days still), the game does work, except that I have to use the CD of course. This is using one of my famblies from before the patch -- I haven't tried a new game and/or making a new Sim yet. I have the new EP and will install it eventually, once the rest of my CC is updated for it. I always like to try the most up-to-date base game before trying out a new EP. The only issue was on installing FAS's no-CD crack. With either the original TSLHost.dll file in the Game/Bin folder, or the altered one I got a few patches ago, the game wouldn't start at all. It was like an immediate CTD. What I believe to be the relevant part of the error log is: [Exception info] date: 2010-10-27 time: 22.39.27 type: ACCESS_VIOLATION writing address 0x0000000c address: 0x004df3c6 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe":0x0001:0x000de3c6 . . . [Instruction data] 004df346 => DasmX86Dll.dll not found. A Google search made it seem like the file DasmX86Dll.dll sometimes goes missing for other software and games, especially Spore, and the collective response on the issue seemed something like a shrug: "Sorry dude, your game's broke." Since I lost my old TSLHost.dll file in the reinstall (and it wasn't working anyway), and none came with the no-CD crack, it looks like my choices are to use AM, to install "Late Night" and hope the Reloaded no-CD crack works with the new TSLHost.dll file that they provide, or to wait for someone else to crack the 1.17 patch and hope they provide a TSLHost.dll file that works. This is assuming that this file actually matters anymore, which I can't say I know. Use Nraas no cd mod, it works with any patch, no need to update.

I had a sim ask to be turned and she got stuck with "bitten" moodlet, but not turned into a vampire. I had to remove the moodlet and ask again for it to work.
They don't turn right away, you have to wait for them to slowly die. It takes about a day or two.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / updating mods

How hard/easy would it be to learn how to update the mods I use myself? I'm not speaking of awesome mod or any thing big, but like the auto testingcheatsenabled mod or faster skill learning mods. Is this something I can easily learn to do myself or no? Does any one know how?
