51  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2010 January 11, 16:34:00
Are you using Awesomemod? Did you d/l the 1.8/2.3.3 version of it?

OT - I decided it was time to update my game, as borked-up it might turn out in the end. So, if everything works out OK, the only thing I should be worried about are new store contents, and how to install them. I`m thinking about (put your poking sticks away!) TSR Merlin...Launcher refused to install new houses I d/l, notifying it needs "software update", so I had a go with the Merlin and it worked flawlessly...what do you people think? Could it work?

@ Lum - thought the same. I just opened a community lot and placed the bookstore cash register (found in build mode/community objects). Think you need WA though, and this mod - http://www.prettysims.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=124

Worked like a charm, Simsample, thanks! As I already said - great work!

I DID read the thread. Re - downloaded, restarted the computer (for what is worth), and once I click install (through the launcher), I get a "Requires software update - please make sure your game has the latest software update" message. I`m running a 1.5/2.2.8 version.

And for all of us who still hope EA will fix the borkage (coz I Gotta Have Faith) from the latest patch, and haven`t updated the game (i.e. running a 2.2.8 WA and 1.5/1.7 TS3) - is there a way to convert this into a .world file and which would be the weapon of choice?

Agreed, a perfect get-away location...if only Sims could actually SWIM in oceans...*sigh*

Ah, crap...

Now let`s see, where did I put that god forsaken patch and...this is going to be a looooong night...
58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 Released - CAW Out on: 2009 December 16, 23:43:47
A new patch...great...I was missing some drama in my life lately...NOT -____-

Question - 2 patches, one for base game, other for WA. Do I have to patch them both? WA shouldn`t be a problem (I can`t believe I said that), but I didn`t patch my base game to 1.7 b/c...I don`t know, I forgot to sacrifice a sheep prior to that, it just kept spitting out that "Can`t update" blah blah whatchamacallit crap. So, to use CAW, do I have to update both?
And while I`m at it, let`s say EA releases another 7 EPs. Can you imagine what would that mean? Patching 9 times? (Ok, light bulb moment - probably not, b/c the base game will be to 2.0/1.9 version, WA till 3.0, 2.9 etc...)

Why am I even playing this game? WHY? ...o_O...
59  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Options/Sims Toolbar is gone on: 2009 December 10, 04:39:47
Don`t know if it`s connected, but I had the same problem, however only with one household. I have AM(inactive story progression) and NRAAS Story progression (active), and when ever I would want to enter this household from the neighborhood view, my UI would disappear and the game would stop responding. Sound going and everything, but I get stuck at neighborhood view...Solved it with moving out and deleting the household. Still, hope it dosen`t happen again.

Store, stuff packs...EAxis sure knows how to make the cash register go "bling"!

And one other thing - have you seen the latest update @ the store? Castle exterior build set. I saw it and thought "Man, that would go great with WA and France. Making old castles that have tombs hidden inside." And then I figured somebody at EAxis knew what they were doing - sell them the EP, and make them buy from the store something that should have been included with it in the first place. 1000 free sim points...pffft, please... Has anyone seen what female swimsuits look like in CAS? Bloom and shine everywhere, you can`t even see the pattern right. I don`t know about you, but something tells me wearing a shiny, latex clothing while swimming is NOT very comfortable. Or a very good idea, for that matter...Kids, DO NOT try it at home!

62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Well, well, THIS is a surprise... on: 2009 November 27, 15:54:52
Do they not know the community at all?

Now that is what I call a million $ question.

My guess - no. Nope. Niet. Ne. Nein. And so on.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: WA outside lighting issue on: 2009 November 25, 13:30:20
@ Pescado - I call your MOAR bloom and raise you for MOAR lensflare.

Sheesh...So, it`s a feature. I just wonder if they did it b/c EAxians have vision issues (read - blind as bats)...or it`s really dark at that place!

On the bright(!) side, I finally have an excuse to put on some sunglasses on my sims. Yay...
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Well, well, THIS is a surprise... on: 2009 November 25, 13:22:25
NOT.

"The corpse is not even cold yet". Way to go, EA. Way to go.

65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.7/2.2 on: 2009 November 21, 00:45:25
By gods, EA has given a whole new meaning to the term "complicated as hell". Wah!

I`m having the same problem updating my base game from 1.5.82 to 1.7 (although updating WA to 2.2 went w/o any problems). I d/l the Sims3_1.7.9.002002_from_1.6.6.002002 patch (which, when you start it, displays update from 1.5.82 to 1.7, so who is %&#?@ whom here?), and I don`t want to d/l the EADM as it is a tool of utter terror and apocalypse. Also, while I`m at it - if my WA is "fully patched" (for now  Roll Eyes ), do I need to update my base game?
66  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Are there enhanced body modifier sliders? on: 2009 November 03, 08:32:51
Also, Delphy said s/he was working on body sliders for different body parts (height included), so we have more sparklies on the way. Right after the "returns to normal state outside CAS" problem is fixed.
67  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Sims Not Aging on: 2009 November 03, 08:28:17
Had the same issue, IE my adult female sims would get knocked-up at the very last day of their adulthood and would stay pregnant forever, not aging up to elders. Did a lot of falcon punches to sort it out, but eventually I deleted ISM and replaced it with NRaas story driver. Deleted my caches and everything was fine.

ISM bork, maybe?
