 I have a raedon and I was having the same problem.  When I would try to build a house and place an item in it, it would disappear and come back in a second.  I was advisded by someone to go to an older driver and I have not had a problem since.

  Mine is not as fancy as yours,  I only have an ATI radeon  HD 3450  but I went from a 9. something driver to 8.4930.

  That is what worked for me.   Good luck.   

I  can't get my elder men to cycle through their clothes.  They can do all the gorilla outfits and others but when they come to the sims2 clothes they will crash.    In the game and in  bodyshop.  The elder women are all right.

  Did you ever hear of this happening before.  I am up to BV now but they sent me a dvd and I ordered a cd because all of my other sim discs are cd's.   

   I am trying to contact the seller and get a refund.  I got this from the UK and the time is all messed up,  it does not say 2:00 or 3:00 am, it says 22:00.   I am not in the navy,  I don't know how to read that kind of time.     

  also after I installed the BV, my neighborhood with the seasons people disappeared,  I forgot to back them up,  I tried to transfer the neighborhood from the Seasons folder but then the game crashed.

   I hate dvd versions, I had one once with sims 1 and I took it back and got the cd version because I had so much trouble with it.

   Do you think it is okay to mix the cd and dvd versions?   What can I do about my elder sim men?   Should I get a hack and hide all the maxi clothes or what?        thanks

I am going to order apt. life and bon voyage today.  so, I only need a no cd  crack for AL since I will be using it to play the game.  Even if I buy some of the sp's later I will not have to get a fix for them, only the last EP.   Is that right?   also I forgot to bookmark the place where you get the fairlane no cd cracks.  Does anybody have that addy?    thanks

yes I do and I can't find any older drivers.  Everytime I download one it says this if for xp.   I hate that raedon and vista.  I want my Nvidia drivers back and my xp,   diou  you know where I can get some older drivers for Vista?    I have  9.2 now..

my computer was built with integrated ram, Nvidia but I told my sis I did not want integrated ram, so she got them to put in this goofy raedon crap.

This is what happens when I place any item on my lot and during buillding lots also.  this has happened since I first installed all the discs I had up to pets, even before I installed the latest sp and ep.

It can be a default object or a custom object.  All the walls disapear for about 2or 3 seconds and then they reappear.  This never happened with xp

yes I enabled cc and I removed my download folder with the hacks in them before I installed.   I have updated all the hacks to go with seasons before I started the game.   Are you sassin'  me   JM?    I just love you, you crusty old barnacle.   

I did not uninstall the cep or the  Sims pack installer.  I never had to before.  Does that mean that I am going to have to reinstall again. 

grrrrr!!! It just crashed on me again. 

I am trying to catch up with the sims eps.   I was only up to pets but Saturday I installled family fun, glamour and Seasons.
  A lot of my objects are flashing blue now.   I guess they are no longer compatable with my game or with Seasons.   Then I tried to put a default dresser on one lot and the hand put it down but it would not rotate it and my game froze up on me.   I think that may have been due to a hack I had called see them,  but I have since removed it because Quaxi said his pets ep  censor would work with Seasons.   

 I do not understand a thing about seasons,  what is that new bar that is over by their picture,  it has no description of it, it is a little bar and two of my sims have red ones and two of them have green ones. 

  Oh,  hell,  now I know why I never went past pets and next month I am getting three more including Bon Voyage and I will get that no cd crack thing messed up as sure as the world.   I guess I will just have to delete all the blue objects that I am getting now.     

thanks .  I have another question, everytime I download a fix for bon voyage,  I get the icon and the one that looks like a computer and it says brewers info and I downloaded one today from Fairlane and it says fltdox.nfo.   Are you suppose to run the one that says info before you install the fixed icon?

You can see and example in my picture post, the  one that looks like a blue computer and it always says info.

I don't have apt. life yet,  #6 is the  one they gave me for Bon Voyage.

  Wouldn't apt. life be number 8 or 9 or a higher number and THANKS  for telling me where the icon goes .  I got it from the game copy world.

 So all I have to do is put that in the ts bin with the original one, make a shortcut  to my desktop and run the game from the shortcut?   

I have been googleing and just like they said, there are no directions for installing securom.

the 7z one says in properties securom fix and then I have the green sims.exe picture for exP6  now do both of them go someplace.   I am just going to keep the securom because I don't know how to do it and I am not making excuses.  Maybe I am a retard or an LD or something.   thank you  much.

I have a question.  I am ordering  bv and I have downloaded the secure rom remover and I have downloaded the no cd crack.  I just wanted to know what it looks like to see if I have the right thing.   It  looks just like the sims exe but instead of being blue it is green.

It says "Sims2EP8.exe.  I was just checking because I never used a no cd crack before.   Also if you put that in after you patch the game you will not get the securom is that right? 

 I have read all of the posts but I am old and just had cataract surgery on both eyes and I can' see shit.    until I get my new computer glasses.

Can I ask you another question?   I have intel and it had an intregrated card,  a NVIDIA but I told my sis I did not want integrated card  and she got me this dumb Raedon.

My sis got me a computer for Christmas and I hate it,  I hate the windows vista and I hate my graphic card, it is an ATI radeon


  I was wondering if you should uninstall the current driver before you update to new ones?  I alwaysdid with my NVIDIA but now  I have a Raedon.  I don't know which drivers to use now.  I updated it once and when I restarted my computer, it said the drivers were not the ones I needed and would they like for me to search the internet and download the updated drivers.

  Does anybody know anything about how to find the right drivers for your Raedon?  I went to their website but it was all greek to me.        thanks

well it seems to be working now, so far.  I updated my driver and I had a folder with my hacks in in that had not been compressed, so I switched them,

I took the hacks folder out and still the two lots would not load.  Yes, you are right, I meant the neighborhood  is corrupted.

I also ran SW hack checker and it showed no conflicts.

well, I fixed the day/night thing and it turned back into.  so, I thought eveything was okay but the simms that I put back in, stared acting really weird.   There light stared fickering off and on and the things from insimenator would get a little blue box when  I clicked on them and then they would fall  out of the queque.  the peole with houses in the top part of the lot work fine, just not the bottom two  houses.


I do think the lot is furbud.
  I think I may have messed it up with the comprezzorizer.
 I did not do any core files with it,  only my download  folder.  I used JM's  black box thingy and it did not help these houses.

I am at a lost for what to do next.   I just now installed the lates drivers for my vidio card .

should I move the people that are working to the bin an start a new shoppsing lot and delete the one I have now.   What about the peple  I leave there,  will they delete with the lot?

I had two houses that were corrupt, so I but the people in the bin and deleted the houses and made new houses and when I click on shoping district  the screen is black except for the street lights.

Can I move the family back to the bin and build new houses on another s.d  lot?  Can I delete that lot if there are no families on it after I move them?
