Ok, so it's not my game -- thanks! I guess EAxis has it setup that way as a sort-of 'scenario' to force the issue of those two getting together. Makes sense, since his apartment looks more like it's setup for 4 people than her's is.
OTOH, it'll take a bit of finessing to get their relationship up, since neither can talk to the other on the phone. I wonder if the current setup also borks any move-in type interactions. May have to move one of them out and back in and see if that resets it.
I noticed that as well. Actually, when I played Vivian & her daughter, Timothy and Sally just kept coming in the apartment all the time on their own. And actually, Timothy came up to Vivian and kissed her out of nowhere and was one of the first sims I noticed doing romantic interactions on their own. Because when you start the game, there's no crush, love or anything like that, they just appear to be friends. But because he kissed her like that, I decided to go ahead and get them married. I didn't even think about the fact that Maxis probably set that up like that.

Hell of a greeting, isn't it? I've never actually heard of anyone getting a + or - from that greeting (or the related goodbye), though, as it's really just an indicator of chemistry and not a "real" kiss (sims are still eligible for their "first kiss" interaction after this greeting). Perhaps something about this salutation was changed for AL?
I thought that was the case as well where it shouldn't effect the relationship, but right after the relationship score with that witch was like -13 / -7. Normally when my sims don't know each other, their greeting is either waving at them or shaking their hand. That's why it was so shocking when I saw it. Before this, the only sims that I've seen greet another sim like that were sims who are in love.

I had noticed some sims flirting and kissing other sims on their own which wasn't a huge problem since I could turn free will off to prevent it. But then yesterday when I was playing a house with two women. The first one, Erin was friends with the Evil Witch and had been turned into one as well. I decided to have her call up the evil witch and invite her over so her friend, Jaina could also be a witch. Once the witch showed up, I told Jaina to greet her. It was just the normal greet, not the new greets like high five or anything. When Jaina greeted her, I got this: Jaina had never met her before and had no previous relationship whatsoever. Well, the witch ended up not liking the greeting, and now they have a negative relationship. I do have some hacks, but only a few of the DC hacks and TwoJeff's updated Twins & Triplets hack and Young Adult & Lazy Animation fix.

Are neighbors in other apartments in the same building supposed to be able to just walk in your apartment all the time? Because if it's intended, it's really annoying, especially in small apartments. It gets really crowded. I know you can lock them out, but I don't want everyone locked out all the time, I just want them to knock and wait to be asked in before they barge in and make themselves comfortable. They also seem to think it's ok to just help themselves to my families' newspapers.

I spent more time playing the game and I can definitely confirm that the sims' portraits do change constantly and not just when they change clothes. I turned free will off and had two sims just stand around for like 5 minutes and both of their portraits kept changing every few seconds. The ceilings, I'm not too happy with. Besides them cutting off most curtain rods, borders and tops of certain windows, they tend to look really screwed up if there's a roof over them. I built a house and when I noticed that the roof alone didn't give ceilings to the second floor, I laid some floor tiles under where the roof goes. This is what the ceiling looked like on the second floor: The first floor looked fine. I'm not sure if it was just because of the roof, but still, it shouldn't be looking like that. I ended up removing the floor tiles from under the roof and just placed the ceiling tiles from MTS2 instead. Actually, even though they're a pain to place them one tile at a time, they look much better than the ceilings that come with the game.

I didn't notice anything like that with the hair when I took pics. I didn't try the red hair though, but unless each color has a separate mesh, I don't think it's a mesh issue.

When you turn it on, it doesn't have effects that other stereos have: circles coming out from the speakers and music notes coming out from the panel.... I haven't tested it yet, but if that's the case, I wouldn't want it fixed. I like my game to look realistic and in real life, when I listen to music, there's no music notes or circles coming out of the speakers.

I'm having some trouble with the clothes now. I've been downloading clothes as they were posted and they were all showing up in BodyShop with no problems but now that I've added more to my game, some of the outfits that were showing up, no longer are. Like the teen female clothes, the only outfit that shows now is the Brown Pottery Pattern Dress. The last time I was in BS before that, I had all the clothes for teens except the Pink Celtic Cutie and the Choker dresses. I'm missing several of the female adult outfits now and for the guys, I'm now missing two of the Hipster Jacket outfits that were there before. Anyone know what's going on?
EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it. Somehow I ended up with single package files of certain outfits (like the African Skirt & Top outfits) that were also in those combined packages that have multiple outfits in one package file. I deleted the single versions and everything showed up.

Ok, I'll disable the phones in CEP. The recolors I have for the regular phone don't show anymore since installing FT, anyway. Is there a tutorial or something to fix the shadow for the end table? Because I'd really like it to be fixed. I have an entire beach neighborhood where I'd like to use that bedroom set in some of the houses.

I haven't played the game much other than to just build & decorate houses since installing FT, but last night I was playing and I found an issue with the new phone. When I go into buy mode and place it, it looks normal, but as soon as I go into Live mode, the handset turns into the base game one. Does anyone know what's causing this? I took a pic of the problem. I tried it multiple times and each time I go into Live mode, the phone changes. The pic was taken in buy mode to show the difference. Also, I noticed an issue with the shadow on the surfer end table from TSS. It's always on the side, which makes me never want to use it. Is it like this for everyone?

Finally several of the objects from both sets had mixed up groundshadows with wallshadows, making the walllshadow visible at all times.
Is that what's wrong with the end table in the surfer bedroom set in TSS? Because there's always a shadow on the side of the table and because of that, I've stopped using that set.

Do the objects have recolors? I haven't tried them in game yet. But if the objects come with recolors, then it's extremely greedy of them to charge for each clothing recolor.

Also, sometimes it will randomly only let you have one download per hour. It seems to be a standard rule, but isn't always enforced somehow. Besides, isn't it Happy Hour right now, so you can download as much as you want? I notice that too. Happy Hour I think is early in the morning. I know I downloaded a file around 7 this morning (Central Time) and it said it was happy hour and I didn't have to wait or enter the code to download.

Thanx to all of you! I was gonna download the stuff until I read all the details. Does this stuff also inlcude their 6 free objects for registering? I couldn't figure out at the store which ones those were.
Four of the six items are from EPs and SPs, so if you have all the packs, only two are new. There's a recliner that matches the Deco set, a green and yellow velvet dress, the Cameo Vase from Celebration Stuff, Power Mirror from FFS, a hairstyle from OFB, and the Cantankerous Splatters painting from NL. You can see them by going to Collections / Themes / Free Items. IMHO, they're not worth downloading, especially since it means getting the FT patch installed automatically, SecuROM upgraded and having to use the EA Downloader to get them.

I love the hanging lights! Very nice. I wonder why they left them out of the game.
Presumably so they could sell them in their Store. I dont think it was the reason. I think lack of time, or to many Objects for a Stuffpack. The preorder Exclusives are in the game files and some unfinished items like a Coffee table to match the Preorder TV. But the table has all four colors available. I'd love to have the coffee table. Can it be unlocked? And I'm not too surprised the pre-order bonuses are hidden in the game. I remember that being the case with the H&M pack. I ended up coming across those files while looking for that jacket & skirt outfit they posted on their site with the renders of the clothes and objects that didn't show in the game.

I keep hearing about how the IKEA pack has the newer version of SecuROM that was included with the FT patch, but I thought that Stuff packs won't install SecuROM since you don't use the .exe from them to start the game. Or is that wrong?

IIRC, the downloaded versions come with their own special version of SecuRom.
Even games that came out long before they used SecuROM? Because all I have is Glamour Life and the two Holiday packs. Basically, in two weeks, I'm getting a new motherboard and processor installed, so once that's done and Windows is installed on my new hard drive, that's when I'm going to be more careful of SecuROM. I have it now, but it's too much trouble to bother trying to remove it now. But I don't want SecuROM on my new hard drive, so if there's even a chance that my digital copies will include it, I'll just go ahead and download cracked copies. I could just avoid installing them, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work since I'm planning on backing up my main neighborhood and from what I've heard, it wouldn't work since I have those installed now.

Ok, my last question got completely overlooked, so I figured I'd try again. Will EA Downloader put SecuROM on my computer when I install it? I have the Holiday mini packs and Glamour Life that I purchased digital copies of way back and I don't really want to have to buy new versions of.

Ok, one more question. I have the digital copies of Glamour Life and the Holiday packs. If I install EA Downloader to install those games, will that put SecuROM on my PC, or would I be ok since those games were before SecuROM and because I wouldn't be running the game through their exes?
