26  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 15, 04:01:31
If this have been asked before, please re-direct me, I didn't find anything about...

I have a ghost hunter sim... He is in level 7... Yesterday I was playing... evertything ok... Today I played and when I was doing my missions I noticed the game wasn't counting the spirits I was catching... I completed the 3 angry ghosts, the three windows describing the ghosts appeared, but the mission "was never completed"... I tried the other two missions of that day... the same problem... I went to bed and at the next day... THE SAME THING...

Can somebody HELP ME?!
27  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TROUBLES WITH RIVERVIEW on: 2010 July 15, 03:57:03
I just fixed my issue by removing the cache files, and removing the Riverview.world file and reinstalling, I did not uninstall Riverview, just deleted those files. I also have a Riverview.world file in my core files, as outlined in the DBC Torrent thread. Apparently, the last time I rebuilt my store stuff.dbc using the launcher, Riverview screwed up somewhere.

Since you have two, did you check the second one? Are they both like that? If you have two, then for some reason the game thinks they are different, it should have told you it was already installed.

You can't place the objects down? Try using the moveobjects on cheat and placing the building objects into the locations they are supposed to be.

Yes, the both have the same problems.
And, that wouldn't solve the problem: I can't create that lot types, so I'll stay with no city hall, etc...
I'll try what you tried...

Thanks.

Ok, thew buildings are there, I recognized them by the CC logo on their images, these are all I have in the buy-mode catalog and all that are missing in the neighborhood:

-City Hall (there are three of them)
-Sunflower Spa
-Truelong Community School
-Doo Peas Corporate Towers (There are two of them)
-Soil and Water Research Facility
-Country Care General Hospital
-Fort Salas Military Base

I'd just create a lot of these types and put the buildings from Twinbrook or Sunset Valley, so I could evite this issue... BUT, I can't create lots of these types just in Riverview...

I think I'll look for the objects... but I think they're installed since I can see them in the build mode in Community Objects Categorie... so I don't know.
Look in your WorldCaches folder in your Sims 3 folder under Documents. There should be a Riverview_objects.package and a Riverview_sims.package. Mine are 512,975kb and 33,757kb in size, respectfully. Yours should be that size as well.

Well, mines are: Riverview_objects.package: 166.535Kb and Riverview_sims.package: 12.906Kb. What does that mean?
Probably nothing, I seem to be wrong about the objects sizes. However, I somehow have the issue myself now.
Are you positive that all the Riverview objects appear? Because after deleting my worldcache files for Riverview and letting them respawn, the building objects are not in my game. The caches are there, the buildings for Twinview and the Base are there, but Riverviews are not, and now my town has no rabbithole buildings in place unless they were not hood specific.
Go here and compare the names to the ones in your game:
http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Military_base

Also, for curiosities sake, does your Riverview hood have the proper description in the main menu or is it blank or gibberish, and do your lots in town have the proper name or are they something along the lines of "World\Riverview\Lot name:" ?
[/quote]

Yes, the description appears... in the two Riverviews I have installed (Don't know why I have two of them)... I also verified the names of the lots and the sims and they're ok... I still see the buildings of Riverview, I don't remember the names... I'll have to go to check that now... Now I'm not sure...
30  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 14, 02:48:01
I noticed that every time I run the game, the Career Bundle does not appear in the installed content... I installed it again and works, but when i close and run again the game launcher it appears again as a new download and does not show up in the installed content... I already have decrapyfied.... why does that happens?

I have been noticing the launcher seems to have Alzheimer's lately with regard to whether it has installed certain files. If you try to install them, it says they are already installed (well duh) but it seems to forget it installed them every time you restart the launcher.

As long as the content is showing up in the game it's not really a problem and I just ignore it.

Ok... but I don't see the new hairstyles that come with the Set in the CAS anyway... red cubes have not appeared again... but I don't know... There is nothing that proves the set is installed... my launcher doesn't say that it's already installed... It just install it and install it all the times I close and open again the launcher...

Are you installing it through the installer tool or are you doing so manually, by dropping the world into the world folder? I ask because the objects from Riverview are separate from the world file. I believe someone has a link here to just the objects. Try re-installing just these and see what happens.

The world file itself should generate the needed Riverview objects or sim files. When installing the world file through all the convoluted ways that did not include the sims3pack, like merely putting the .world into the core files, the objects files were created when the game ran, and appeared in the WorldCaches folder just fine.

I think I'll look for the objects... but I think they're installed since I can see them in the build mode in Community Objects Categorie... so I don't know.

Ok, I'm tired of playing in Sunset Valley. I got Riverview but I have a lot of problems. First, I want to say I have read the topics about this but found no solution. I enter the neighborhood, there is not city hall, school, medical center, corporation, spa and others I can't remember. I tried to make new lots of these type so I could replace them, because in the build mode ALL THE BUILDINGS from Riverview appear... even those that don't show up. Ok... I go to change lot type and none of the no-existing lot type appears, (I can not create city hall, medical center, spa, school, etc.).

I don't know what to do. I uninstalled it, decrapyified it and re-installed it and the same thing... And I don't know why in the main menu of the game I can choose Riverview twice, like if it were installed two times... I THINK I downloaded it and installed it just one time... some help?Huh?? Tired of Sunset Valley since Twinbrook crashes when I try to go to any community lot... thanks...

37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sim AI inconsistent on: 2010 July 10, 21:35:26
It's on high, but still they are very not independent when they're the active household. If it's a sign of computer overload, I'll try to fix it a bit...any other ideas?

No... (as Pescado said) it's definitively a RAM problem, I used to play the sims3, when there weren't expansion packs yet, in my big and old computer. It had a pitiful RAM and my sims where SLOW always... when I chaged the computer, with good RAM, I installed the game and that SLOW-problem never ocurred again... There could be a way to reduce the SLOW-problem, and make thew sims take 15 minutes before entering in the tube, instaead of 30; but the time will pass, new expansions will be released and so, those 30 minutes will be one hour... Believe me, I suffered that A LOT with the sims2... Specially with Seasons and then...
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Sims 3 patch on: 2010 July 10, 21:13:07
Have an old question:

For example, I have my game on version 1.12/2.7/4.0... soon, I'll have to update it, when the time comes, do I have yo update base game, WA and AMB by each one... or the patch will just work over the AMB version? I know the question is kind ridiculous... but when I need to patch I always have problems with WA. Don't know why, because since the last three patches, I stopped cracking the games, so I have the original exe files in my game...
39  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 09, 14:19:37
Did I mention anything about having a pirate copy of the game in my post?   But please feel free to assume that I do. Roll Eyes (FYI. I bought the games and had the expansion packs bought for me for Christmas and my Birthday.)

I was trying to help another forum member, who was asking if anyone knew were they could find a no CD hack.

... maybe... gamecopyworld.com???

I don't know why some of my chosen sims don't go to work. Neither why some of my chosen sims gain or lose job perfomance. Neither why when some of them don't go to work, and I click "go to work", the game says "it's not your work hours"... yes! in fact, these are their work hours.
41  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 22, 03:54:02
I'm still having that problem related to co-workers. I was playing and I put my sim to go to work. Then I changed the household (chosen) where lives a co-worker. I tried to make him go to work, but it said those weren't my work hours. The two sims have the same job. So... I don't know what it is, that may not be related to AM... somebody know?  Huh
42  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 20, 22:19:28
My chosen sims in another households, different from the selected, stopped going to work by their own... why is that??
43  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 18, 19:02:35
Thanks, It worked... Not having any issue till now.
44  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 18, 01:39:43
One question: is the AwesomeMod Configuration Tool available for this test version? Where can I find It? Thanks. Embarrassed
45  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Core mod Incompatibility with Awesome Mod? on: 2010 April 18, 03:36:55
I'm sorry to interrupt this... BUT... my current game version is 2.5
My awesome mod expired so I downloaded another today. When I installed it that CORE-INCOMPABILITY-THING appeared.
I don't know how does that affect my game and I don't figure out why I hace that version mismatching if I haven't changed ANYTHING.

For fuck sake, patch your fucking game and be up to date with everything.  Current WA version is 2.6.

I know the current version is 2.6... but I don't want to update yet.
And:
If I'm using the 2.5 version of awesome mod with the 2.5 version of WA, Why that CORE-MISMATCHING-thing appears?
That's my question!

Thanx if somebody can ANSWER my question...

But... weird things started to happen after I installed the awesomemod:
-Crash to desktop when clickin' on Pool Tool
-Dissapearing objects (my house didn't hace any objects when I re-entered there, even my plants)
-Unclickable objects

I'm not sure if that is related to the CORE-THING...
Insult me if you want, but PLEASE, answer me.

Thanx.
