Try ctrl s to save. I don't quite know what you've done though. Can you not see the menus anymore?

I'm uploading a decrapified version of Lunar Lakes now for the Mac users. I'll upload the .package file, I'm not sure if it will work though.

If anyone wants to point me to a guide on breaking down the world files I will be happy to upload it. I have had someone test a .world file from my game and it doesn't show. I have extracted all the objects and the premium tree.

Well now, that makes all the difference.

You will have to stick to using .package files and pre-decrapified counters. They are available in a torrent which is complete up to Nov last year. The newer stuff is currently being sorted.

I'm sure this has been asked here before, but I've googled, gone to many forums, and checked the last few pages here and have yet to find anything. What is the fix for when you install something via the launcher and it goes to the installation window but says, "Installation failed: Make sure you have the latest software updates and try again." I only get it when I try to install Sims 3 Store content from the other thread in this forum.
Your google-fu is completely fail.
Try searching for decrapify. And don't post asking how you do it. It has been COVERED TO DEATH.

You're lucky I'm in a good mood.

Confirm the interaction gather the fruit does not work, I tried to improve your skills to the maximum but nothing.
 Will need another fix.

A few of us have had success with the .package file.

Tree of Prosperity as a package: http://www.mediafire.com/?3c8ej7rnxat3y97 [Tested - works]
Other Lunar Lakes objects/cas stuff as a package: http://www.mediafire.com/?3d4q7ch2k27c1c6

The old method still works fine. Pescado uses it, and I never bothered doing it the new way. The old way seemed easy enough for me anyway.

Ditto, etc.

Never seen the reason to change; if it ain't broke, why fix it?

I also hate being forced to use the juvenile 'My Documents' folder for anything, purely because I'm stubborn that way.

I would be far happier if they'd stop sticking crap into the My Docs folder. Leave all the game info in ONE PLACE damnit.

Dude, you didn't recognize the difference between Windoze and mac in this one person's screenshots. Who cares if you differ. I feel like someone needs to slap an "unreliavole" label on you.
Right, because the only person to give a correct assessment of the problem is unreliable. I corrected your statement, by the way. There is no reason to have duplicate files in places where they're not doing anything. Skadi was giving unreliable information, not I.

Oh look, here is a screenshot of my perfectly working config.

I didn't realise the OP was using the mydocs method not the install directory method.

Do we need to consider putting NeoTard in the Dome?
214  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AM Noob - What am I doing wrong? on: 2012 February 06, 09:55:58
Bah, I still use Ye Olde Method.

If it's good enough for Pescado, it's good enough for me!

Running in admin mode?
216  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AM Noob - What am I doing wrong? on: 2012 February 06, 01:08:06
You need to have the resource.cfg in the root folder as well [up one level].
I beg to differ.

You aren't exactly a font of wisdom. Beg all you like.

Perhaps the OP can try double checking all the file paths, cleaning caches.
Does the game get to the loading screens?

Do the sims 3 store items require certain expansions? I looked on the site, but I couldn't find any requirements on the set's page. Thanks

Nope They don't. only patch requirments

Actually, a few new items DO require certain EPs, but they let you know on the object page.

It's you. Works wonderfully is my [mac-free] game.  Tongue

Try doing a hard reload of the page [ctrl +F5].
220  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Updates and Pets question on: 2012 February 04, 08:15:16
There was chatter about it before the update rolled out. RYG [who normally monitors these type of things] is down for a server upgrade at the moment.
This isn't the totally destructive Securom that came out during TS2. It ties into the Origin system, and brings it in-line with the protections used on TSM.

OMG.
YOU EVEN PUT IT ON ADORA.

222  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Updates and Pets question on: 2012 February 04, 03:23:50
Some people are refusing to go to 1.29  or beyond due to securom.
If you have a SERIOUS reason not to go to 1.29 or beyond, PM me and I'll link you to it on another server.
If you are just avoiding 1.29 and above because of CC issues, download a fixing tool and MOVE ON.
223  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Any way to salvage Sims from a corrupted town? on: 2012 February 04, 02:44:28
Can you load it without it crashing? You can always save the sims to CAS if you can get into their houses.

I think Twallan has a mod [Porter?] that helps you move families into a new world with their relationships attached.

There are a few other things you can try, but it would depend how FUBAR that save has become.

I know it is a bit early, but has anyone seen the gypsy hair from the magic pack without the silly decoration?
225  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 February 02, 23:08:55
You need to decrapify your sims3packs before converting them to packages.
I run them through S3RC before turning them into package. When ever I forget they go 'splode.
