The purple is for abandon vehicles, I have not seen a way to turn it off.  It is there for your protection since those vehicles seem to cause problems if not removed.  Try typing towderelicts in the cheat window to remove them.  Try searching on purple, there are mentions of it all over the place.
They are decorative vehicles, they are supposed to be there.

Supreme Commander declared "mostly safe", or at least not worse than everything, and radar/command options now publicly available

OK, anyone know how to find these options to turn the purple radars off?

I've tried the wikka, the rtfm, and I even typed in radar off, only for the cheat console to deny me   with a error message of some sort Grin Angry

Or is there another way to switch supreme commander off completely?
I just need those radars to go away like the good old days...

I downloaded a lot that also had non-deletable stair railings.
I eventually just left it.  Huh

Can anyone else confirm that disabling TrackAllMovingCars on the aweconf screen doesn't work?
The icons still show up in hood view.
It works. Track All Moving Cars off doesn't mean that cars WON'T be tracked: Any stray vehicles, or vehicles containing sims you are tracking, will still appear on radar.
Okay, I see. Is there a way to disable  all  car icons, or plans to disable this?
I say this because some vehicles are decorative, and certainly do not need icons
Alternatively, a way to disable SC for the same purpose?
As per the pictures in the new bug thread, without the ability to disable icons, decorative vehicles have become a messy no-no.

I like the pyramid style science centre.
I'm having to be fussy over what lots I put in my game now, but I think that could go quite nicely in the middle of Summer Hill Court, due to its shape, it should be a 'central' building.
Think I'll do that now actually, thanks.

The town is very nice. Strange to see something so different, yet so similar to my own Sunset Valley.
I've no need for two Sunset Valleys however, its hard enough maintaining my own.
I cant wait till this gets done with Riverview though, as my one is very unfinished.
Very nice.

Shaklin has converted animations to TS3 apparently
Expect to see a love-bed and some jiggy animations soon Smiley

185  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Recatogorizing / Repricing stuff on: 2009 August 21, 15:48:53
Is there a way yet?
I know theres not a recategorizor per se, like the TS2 one, but do any of the TS3 programs contain this yet?
I downloaded a couple in the hope, but nothing.
 Huh

Can we get a definitive set of instructions for everyone?  Would save some time.
Everything you download with the launcher goes into a file located in
C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCCache
It is called dcdb0 (downloaded content database?)
If you delete something from the launcher, this file size does not go down. It will get larger and larger, until your computer goes POP!
I had ninja trousers which i deleted from the launcher. Not only did it keep the space on my computer, but it didn't even remove them from CAS.  Sad
This is a shocking peice of programming from EA. Then you have the two other locations the launcher stores each download also.
These ones don't even do anything.
I deleted my 100mb dcdb0 and used the 3viewer for everything now.
The only thing I had to use launcher for was Riverview, which had the path name problem unless I used it.

So if you really want to use the launcher for sims or lots, you could, if remove your dcdb0, install packs, then put the file back afterwards, overwriting. I do this if I want lots from the exchange, and my dcdb0 stays at 14mb.
But thats a shedload of hassle really, best to use 3viewer.

But thats basically the wrongs of the launcher.

Does this squash the build/buy music, or am I misunderstanding?
190  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 August 16, 00:42:06
I got this problem briefly when I started to unlock my game houses.
Lock houses? Is this the lockable door, or some other terminology?  Huh
191  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 August 13, 18:13:59
This happened to my Sunset Valley Modert Art Museum, a building I liked so much that I had barely  ever touched it.
So no possibility of this being a removed-texture problem.

It happened after 1.3 and with a bucketfull of CC though, for what its worth.
192  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 August 13, 10:29:55
Got my first error 13 today  Sad
I knew it was coming: error 12 has popped up about three times last night in Sunset Valley (which is about 70 mb) but the 13 happened on a relatively empty Riverview (population: 3, 26 mb) which hadn't been touched for days.

There seems to be no pattern...

I'm waiting for Cities XL.
It looks pretty complicated, but thats a real town editor.
194  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: 20 new TS3 items on: 2009 August 10, 22:15:19
OK, this topic title might be slightly misleading.

So three of those items  are lots?  Tongue

Sorry for being slightly picky, but whats new here? I see very little that hasnt been seen, and certainly not 20 new items  Huh
195  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Long pauses on: 2009 August 09, 21:09:08
I had this before, when I had too many harvestable trees on a lot.
The sprinklers were still going, but the world around them had stopped...

Wow, those chairs look sweet.
Ultralounge youth and castle sets yesterday, and new stylistsims stuff today  Grin
I've got better collections of furniture, hair and clothing than I ever had in TS2.....already  Tongue
197  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 August 04, 15:20:47
Hmm I encountered a problem.

Even though I have TrackAllMovingCars disabled, the purple car icons are still showing up on the neighbourhood map.
198  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 August 04, 14:43:58
Derelict vehicles automatically cleaned up. Can also trigger manually with "towderelicts".
New "elegant" boss/coworker system: NPCs will no longer be generated unless you specifically attempt to interact with them, so if you try to interact with them, they will be generated, otherwise, they will be kept virtual and save you on neighborhood space.

Excellent additions.

I wasn't aware of these ghost cars until I heard about it on sunday, and was concerned about it, being one of these people who likes to tweak stuff to  get optimum performance, so I appreciate that particular aspect of the mod.

Is there a specific time of day AM does the car sweep? Or as it goes along?
