Title: I'm going insane.
Post by: PandaGirl on 2007 May 20, 07:14:00
I've been using Theo's hair-binning tool for months without issues.
Now every time I try to save something I get this message:
Message:

I have no other programs running, nothing that's using this file. I've run it straight after restarting and I've tried swearing at it. Loudly. I'm running the seasons version of SimPE. The old files aren't becoming disabled as I'm accustomed to.
Does anyone know what to do?

This has been happening for a while now. Nothing is wrong, exactly, it just no longer allows you to disable files.

You should turn off the option for disabling the files to prevent the error popup.

Instead, you should use the Save As option and create a new file, and then you should delete the old files manually. Alternately, you can choose Save As and select one of the old files, and it will be replaced.

Thanks Sara, I hate when things change without me knowing. This will mean I've got to create a new binning routine. *happily pokes SaraMK's belly button* Any idea why it was changed? Or was it not meant to but it did?

I think SimPE broke it.

*pokes SimPE* Naughtiness! I just found it odd 'cause I colour binned some files earlier, then all of a sudden it was yelling at me...

That's because SimPE is greedy when it comes to file handling. It keeps files locked until it is completely shut down. And hope it doesn't crash on you, or you need to reboot to free your file handles.
