Title: Subfolders
Post by: cwieberdink on 2005 October 03, 12:54:03
I did search and found a little bit on this.  I am noticing that hair and makeup will now work in subfolders, but NL is not finding ANY of my chairs, beds, appliances, etc. that are in subfolders.  Why are these not working now?  Is there a list of what can and can't be put in folders?  Walls and floors are working fine in subfolders, but much is not.

I had just the opposite problem. My hair, skins, earrings, etc. wouldn't show. but the objects do?

I found this post helpful:

Thanks for the link.  I guess I should have been more specific, recolors seem to show up, but meshes don't seem to be.  Like refrigerators, for example, or ovens.  When I moved them to the root folder, they showed up again.  I hate having to mess up all my organization!  Arrgh.  I'll keep working on it and trying different things.

Interesting. I have everything in subfolders and have no problems.

Anything in subfolders works fine for me providing the subfolders are in the Downloads folder.  Clothes and make up will not work in subfolders of the SavedSims folder.  There is no longer a limit on how deep you can go with the subfolders either.  I have skins, hair and other genetics happily in subfolders.

Maybe it has something to do with my blank icons bug and whatever other weirdness I have going on in my game right now.  :-P  I'm going to re-organize everything and see what happens.  I'm getting tired of messing.... I just want to play!

Everything's working for me as well in subfolders, and subfolders of subfolders.
