Title: Reset after drinking orangeade
Post by: Lord Darcy on 2007 May 08, 14:26:47
My sims can't gain badge points from drinking orangeade due to resetting. After finishing a cup, they just "jump" without showing a badge icon on their heads. The bug was still there when I loaded without any hacks, making me suspect it's an EAxian bug.

This bug does not happen every single time drinking orangeade, sometimes they can earn badge points normally. But it happens often enough in all lots, not limited to one particular lot. I don't have any problem gaining skill points from eggplant juice.

I managed to get an error log and attached it. It says something about "Slot number out of range".

Forgive me if I am wrong, but didn't MaxoidSam list that as a Seasons bug on the 'whenever we get around to it ' fix list?

You're right, I rarely visit official homepage and didn't know about MaxoidSam's blog post. Guess I have to sit tight until the second Seasons patch is out. My apology.

The second Seasons patch fixed this bug. Sims no longer reset after drinking orangeade, and they gain badge points correctly.
However, a minor bug still remains.

So far it only happened for gold cash register badge. It's not a big deal, as it doesn't affect gaining badge points. Sloppy, though.

The jump happens when you get ehough points to go from one badge level to another.
Report bugs to maxis.  They're the one with the crappy code.
